Bulgaria Tours When To Visit
Bulgaria is arguably beautiful no matter the time of year, so you won't be disappointed whether you visit during the winter or the summer. However, you can easily plan your trip around the type of weather you'd like to experience and how crowded you're okay with the country being.
- Spring and Fall - September to November and March to May - Shoulder Season
The spring and fall seasons are a great time to visit Bulgaria if you want to avoid the crowds that summer will bring. The average temperature in the spring is 57°F, while the fall averages around 61°F. It is a bit of a colder country, but it's still utterly fair weather to be outside with just a light layered jacket!
- Summer - June to August - High Season
The summer months are the most popular time to visit Bulgaria since this is when the country is warm. The average temperature during this season is 78°F. Because so many people visit, you'll find that accommodation prices will be slightly higher, unfortunately.
- Winter - December to February - Low Season

Reviews for Bulgaria Tours and Vacations
Pleasantly surprised by booking this itinerary and the discovery group was just right .
Good value for money and meet your expectations.
Two of the countries had little or nothing to enhance a touring experience. The cities were evolving but still looked run down. I would liked to have more experience with the locals and the countryside. More should have been done to make the first two a successful experience. The options should have been included. Touring is just that so a day should include more full day experiences. I would do an independent experience if I wanted to avoid rundown cities and so much "free" time. Romania was great and I wish we spent all our time there. A good value was given in Romania and our touring experience was more complete with less "free" time. I feel we paid a fair amount to have less time off tour and more time with our director and guides. I have paid half the price and gotten more than I did in the first two countries. The tour director, Ana, was the best ever and she made the worst of the offering as good as it could be. Ana deserves an, A Plus, Plus. and went beyond expectations to help and truly entertain.
