Montenegro Religious Tours 2021

This tour met all my expectations. Enjoyed it very much. Excellent itineraries.Very nice tour guide and very helpful driver.

To keep the cost down, Gate1 uses excursions to increase the price of the tour. They also use a lot of local guide at local sights. Some of them are good and some are not. Our first day of the tour was mainly visiting two museums, because of Monday, we could not see any of the museums as planned. I think the guide should know about this fact and plan accordingly. We also was misled to believe that we would see the most famous Plitvic park as picture shown in the tour brochure. Instead, we have only seen the least impressive part of the park. It was very disappointing. We purchased our own tickets, because the schedule provided to us by Gate1 was unreasonable. So Gate1 charged us $65/person/way. The hotel in Tirana only charged us euro 24/car. The last day of the itinerary was to transport all from Bled to Venice. Gate1 again charged us $65/person. I don't feel it is right to charge, since it is on the itinerary and if it is not on the itinerary, we could have depart from other city than Venice to return home. It was our first tour with Gate1 and I hope not all the tours are organized like this.

We enjoyed the whole trip. Two of the optional trips are great. One is Full day Istria peninsula, and the other is the Lake Bohini, the alpine beauty.
