Everything was wonderful.
The tour operator, Globus, was excellent. The coach was clean and comfortable, and the driver was very good, especially considering traffic conditions in Italy. Special kudos to our tour director who was on top of every situation and handled them with a high degree of professionalism. We have been on a number of bus tours, and she has been, without question, the best tour director we have had. For example, my wife has a food allergy that, after we notified her of it, she made arrangements at every meal for a special meal to be served.
Our trip was marvelous. The guides were knowledgeable and courteous, hotel rooms were very nice, included meals were mostly good (first night in Rome an exception). We flew from Paris to Rome, Venice to Nice, and Nice back to Paris on EZJet, and found them to be no frills but comfortable, timely, and very affordable. Would recommend EZJet highly.
Just returned from the Globus Taste of Italy Tour and it was wonderful. Exceeded our expectations! We were very happy with Globus. The buses were clean and spacious and driven safely and courteously. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The tours were well planned and enjoyable. The local guides were knowledgeable and very pleasant and our Globus representative did everything she could to ensure our trip was comfortable and pleasurable.
The overall trip was incredible. It exceeded my expectations. I liked the hotels and their locations. Professional director and tour guides. Accurate scheduling. The extra tours were the best since we were taken to very good restaurants with very good food and wines and also good entertainment.
The hotels on this trip far exceeded my expectations. They were immaculate and central to many attractions. We stopped booking the extra side trips after getting back so late that there was little time to freshen up and go to dinner. That was too rushed. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the local guides were outstanding in their knowledge of history. The motorcoach should have an actual bathroom. We should not be told that it is an inconvenience to set up whatever it is they had. It's embarrasing. All in all, however, this was an excellent tour and I would recommend it to my friends.
