Thank you so much Maya You make my dream came true. I love everything on the trip the tour guide GP and the driver Luigi was soo nice I am so impressed.
Except for a few minor inconvenience , the trip was excellent
Our one complaint is that the trip was advertised as light walking... We were putting in over 10,000 steps per day, up to 15,000.. My husband has had 3 hip surgeries and has plates in his ankle. We do not consider this light walking. It was very difficult for him to try to keep up with the group and actually gave up a couple of times and stayed behind. If there had been an option for a transfer from the bus to the tour starting point or to dinner we would have gladly paid for him to ride...
The location of the hotel in Rome was in an area far from everything. The area was completely covered in graffiti and appeared to be an area that was not safe to walk about. The 2 dinners that were included in the tour were not very good. This was especially true with the buffet dinner the last night in Venice. Terrible. Not what was expected as all as the rest of the food in Italy was great. Also, knowing our time of arrival at the airport in Rome I would expect not to have to wait 2 1/2 hours for pick up to the Hotel.
Most of the accommodations are good.In Rome the accommodation is very poor .In three days we moved to 3 rooms all are bad.Ants moving in the bath room and the drainage did not work well.Only one dinner was nice. However there is appreciation for the tour director.Heis awesome.
Two of the three hotel rooms were very small. The information warned me but, as an American with size expectations, you may want to reinforce this idea of small hotel rooms even more. I'm petite and my legs were hanging off of a twin size bed.
Alessia tour director was so nice and knowlegable. Smiling all the time and helpful. We love her.Laurentia hotel some loud noises at night, no coffee inside the room . Italiana hotel no coffee jnside the room .
I've done four trips with Cosmos, and each time I've been impressed with the level of planning and the strength of the tour leaders. I feel like I'm in good hands on Cosmos trips.
Our Tour Director Francesco was wonderful. The tour as described. Many excursions offered (for additional cost).
Transfer pick up from airport was great. The motor coach was there when I arrived. Very punctual.
Our travel consultant, Alfonso was excellent. He was very knowledgable, attentive, and professional. We had a great time visiting Italy; seeing Rome, Florence, and Venice! Our Tour director, Alessia was awesome. She had great energy, experience, clarity, and personalization which made our honeymoon very special. Our bus drivers, Ivan and his father Pino made us feel very safe and no time was wasted. We stayed on schedule and there were no problems. We especially enjoyed meeting all kinds of people from all over the world who shared our vacation with us. We also found time to explore on our own and I would highly recommend using AffordableTours/Cosmos. We are already looking into booking our next trip to see France.
I would like to say that this was a very Pleasant experience ,the only advice I would add to this is if you are going to Europe make sure you exchange you Dollars for Euros before you get to Europe, so you get a better exchange rate, do your home work on the dollar compared to the Euro it will make things easier when buying items don't be afraid to haggle with vendors, and make sure you take a Mastercard and let your bank know ahead of time that your going to Europe.
Though the tour guide and bus driver were excellent, the hotels that were chosen on this tour were not up to standards compared to the tour we took with CIE in Ireland.
AffordableTours did a FANTASTIC JOB in setting up this trip for us.
Honestly, it would be nice if some of the optional excursions were included in the all ready paid for costs. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel are a must see in Rome, in my opinion. I didn't realize at first that I had to pay additionally to be included in the tours. Thank you!
Meals at hotels need to be improved, or not included.
Accomadations were fine but there were very far from any of the attractions.
I was very disappointed with hotel Santa Costanza in Rome. I had ants in my bathroom and bed. Also location wasn't favorable. Hotel Italiana in Florence was very nice. I was disappointed with the single room size at Hotel Poppi in Venice. It was a shoebox and very uncomfortable. the location was way too far away. I would probably not want to book again with Cosmos due to the hotel accommodations.
It was a wonderful trip. The tour Director and the driver were wonderful! They were very friendly and they explained to us every single detail. I wanted to thank Clendon for booking a great tour for us. I will definitely recommend Cosmos
Since I have participated in order Cosmos tour, it was in line with what I expected. The only comment I would make is that the hotel in Rome was so far from the main area that it was costly to get there on our own. I know they pushed for us to take the metro, but not everyone is interested in getting to a new city and learning how to get to the main square using public transportation.
