The amount of people in your tour group will vary. The average Gate1 tour has between 24-42 travelers.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

Each person is allowed one "check-in," and one "carry-on." Remember to take all valuables with you as "carry-on", because electronic equipment, cameras, laptops, jewelry, business documents and money are not covered by the airlines' liability, so always carry them aboard with you.

I would love to see Exceeded Expectations as a rating option. Our tour director gave us so much information on the countries that we visited I came home and looked up more. To be exposed to the sites, tastes, experiences and histories of this region was unbelievable and all 6 of us have nothing but praise for the wealth of information that was shared and the experiences we shared in. History was so very important to all of us and we so appreciate what was shared with us.

    By Shirish P on Aug 11, 2019

The itinerary I received stated that we would be dropped off in Venice on Day 12. Consequently, we privately extended our stay in Venice for 2 nights. However, we were told that because we did not book the airfares with you, we would have to pay for the ground transport from Lake Bled to Venice! This is misrepresentation of the information we were provided (in writing!). Also, strictly speaking it is an 11-day tour as the last day in Slovenia was optional tours only!

    By Susan M on Aug 04, 2019

This was a very outdoorsy trip. Beautiful scenery, but all passengers need to be quite mobile.

    By Stephen S on Aug 03, 2019

The last day of our trip should not have offered an optional tour but it should have been part of the itinerary. It was very confusing knowing which part was included and which was optional. As such some who went on the tour did not pay but it was very confusing. Considering there is not much in Bled, the tour should have been part of the itinerary not a paid option. If hotels are rated as 1st class - they should have AC or at the least have fans available. I realize the weather can not be controlled, but in extremely hot weather, it can be prepared for with at least fans being offered to guests.

    By Mazhar R on Jul 14, 2019

Final day Reception was absolutely nonsense. This was the first time Gate 1 Did Not Provide Dinner after a long day. Reception w/ cheap Wine- only 1 glass limit, Sausage, and couple of pieces of cheap cheese was considered disrespectful by Gate 1. Also, Optional Tours specially w/ Dinner were High cost / pp, Not Worth, w/ poor selection of Food. I would Not Recommend for consideration to travelers. Suggest plan your on out local restaurants eating v/s Optional w/ Dinner.

    By Leonard M on Jun 26, 2019

Outstanding holiday package! A perfect blend of mountains and lakes with coastal beauty. The tour is well paced with plenty of opportunity to venture on your own. I was pleasantly surprised by Albania and Monte Negro. Hidden gems in my opinion. Croatia and Slovenia were exactly as expected - BEAUTIFUL! Perfect tour for those who love the mountains and sea. My only concern would be the travel from Bled to Venice. ENSURE you have a transfer to Venice if you choose to extend your stay in Italy. Otherwise, you will be responsible to make your own travel arrangements from Bled to Venice. Which is a three hour drive. Also, be wary of your flight time out of Venice. Unless you don't mind a 1:30 in the morning departure from Bled.
