The tour guide was very knowledgeable but his organizational skills were somewhat lacking during the tour. He presented information to us at inconvenient times when we couldn't hear or write down what he was saying. Didn't have an initial meeting to get to meet our fellow travelers until the morning we left on the bus. Globus does a much better job at this. Globus books and information on the trip are more professionally presented. Would only do a Trafalgar tour if Globus didn't offer what I wanted.

Interesting tour but not for second time. my wife and i both had stomach problem on ship. lunches are either late or skipped(ok on ship). An included diner on the last day was switched to lunch on a very crowded sea food place and we had to buy our own water(bad pr)

Hilton Cairo is in desperate need of renovation, bathrooms were mouldy, water was either brown or, on some mornings, non-existent. The itinerary of the trip could use improvement - there was no tour of Cairo city - Coptic area, citadel, etc., only the museum. The trip from luxor cruise back to cairo late, then to get on a bus in the early morning for a three hour trip to Alexandria, for one nite, was wasted time. We did not need to spend three hours in McDonalds having lunch. Perhaps an earlier departure from luxor, direct to Alexandria in order to spend an entire day or perhaps overnite, would be a better solution. The evening Nile Cruise with Dinner is a waste of money, the sound and light shows as well. The trip to abu simble is a must. Our guide, Adel, was excellent - very informative, gracious, helpful.

The trip exceeded my expectations. There were no other tourists vying for entry at the various locations due to safety concerns in the middle East, but I felt very safe. The Egyptians are going to great lengths to gain back their number one income source producer-tourism. They even have a special Tourism Police Force at the various sites, as well as the military deployed around the country.

By Hack T on Jan 17, 2015

This trip there is a lot of history, good for those who want to know more about Egypt history. But there is too little to see and know life of current life of Egyptian
