This Morocco-focused itinerary takes in the Imperial cities of Morocco, Fez, Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat, as well as some more inspiring cities, such as Ouazarzate, Casablanca and Erfoud. In the red city of Marrakesh, step back in time as you wander through the Jemaa-el-Fna, a square and exotic bazaar, offering some of the greatest open-air entertainment. Listen to the storytellers—an integral part of the culture—and browse for handicrafts. In Fez, take an optional tour to see the ancient medina. Founded in the 9th century, it is one of the largest medieval cities in the world and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this comprehensive and affordable tour of Morocco, you will also be enchanted by beautiful landscapes, stunned by the beauty of the desert, and surprised by the mountain scenery of the Middle Atlas. You’ll also visit Casablanca and see its modern great Mosque and Meknes, where you'll visit the royal stables built to house 12,000 royal horses. Your tour also takes you to Ouarzazate, where you'll visit the Kasbah de Taourirt, and the amazing Ait Benhaddou, used as set to the Gladiator movie. See the mountain resort of Ifrane; Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara desert; and Rabat, Morocco’s vibrant capital where you'll visit the relics of Chellah, a city built by the Romans in 40 AD. From the Middle Atlas mountain range and Ziz Gorges to arid desert, this budget-minded Morocco vacation will amaze you with spectacular scenery. A short ride along the coast to Rabat, once a lair of the corsairs and now the country’s capital. Sightseeing includes the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. You’ll be reminded of the time when Morocco was the Roman province of Mauretania as you visit the fine ROMAN RELICS OF CHELLAH and its GARDENS. Continue to Meknes. During your guided tour, see its monumental gates, mosque, palace, and miles of protective walls. Visit its ROYAL STABLES, originally built to house 12,000 of the royal horses. Travel east towards Fez, Morocco’s most enchanting city.

Day 4: FEZ–IFRANE–ERFOUD.
Travel today into the very heart of Morocco. Stop in the quiet, French-built alpine mountain resort of Ifrane. Verdant cedar forests give way to volcanic mountains and windswept plains as you travel across the Middle Atlas range. Pass fortified mud-and-straw villages and descend into the spectacular ZIZ GORGES. The landscape becomes progressively more arid and you enter a stony desert. Approaching Erfoud, encounter an unexpected and breathtaking surprise: the peaceful oasis of the Ziz Valley.

Each new twist in the road leads to a different, more dramatic landscape. Leaving the pass behind, see the landscape gradually change to a tapestry of red ochre. Enter the gates of the red-colored imperial city of Marrakesh, justly considered the most fascinating of all Moroccan cities. An optional evening excursion is a fitting way to end the day.

Guide is not prepared, day to events are not communicated, days foodwason our own he stated it is by cosmos. Very few cultural details shared by our guide., the hotels need improvement. There was a flying cockroach in room, food inadequate. Have to fight with staff to get food. Poor experience.
The trip was enjoyable and met my expectation. There were several repeat-customers among our small group of 17 people, which is a testament to Cosmos' reputable and professional services. The tour director, Anne along with the driver and his assistant made a very strong team. All of them were extremely courteous and professional, which contributed to the enjoyment of the tour. I would highly recommend Cosmos (Globus Group) to anyone. I will also tell my friends about my positive experience with Cosmos. Thank you!
I think I have traveled about 12-15 times with Cosmos and only one time was I disappointed. This Morocco trip ranks up there in the top 3 trips I have ever taken.
everything ran perfect. the driver was at the airport to take me to my hotel. hotels were wonderful except for one. the tour guide Ann was wonderful and tours were great. I could not have asked for more.
This was my first group travel experience and without a doubt I will do it again.

Morocco is a truly exceptional country to visit. Our tour guide Mr. Aziz was the best, excellent, professional, communicative, responsive, funny (making us laugh every day). He made the Morocco trip an absolutely incredible experience! The itinerary was phenomenal, and carefully planned out that we were able to see so much. Aziz was great at telling us the Moroccan history. The trip was amazing!!!!! What a wonderful experience, beautiful country with a very rich history and culture! Every day was a complete surprise. The sights in Morocco were spectacular, the country diverse from the goats, sheep, the Argan trees, the Medinas, the Kasbah, the Jilbabs were extraordinary. We cannot forget to mention our very skilled driver; his helper. All in all, the entire whole trip was amazing! The memories we carry from this trip is an experience which we will always treasure.
Morocco exceeded expectations on so many levels. The Moroccan people, their food, and the country itself, were all just wonderful. The Cosmos tour gave a wonderful overview and certainly returned value for the cost. I would recommend this tour to anyone without reservations.
Tour Director was very professional and diligent. Well done.
I loved the tour I booked to Morocco with Cosmos and I am coming back for other tours.
Had a very interesting and wonderful experience with this tour, the price is just right, the accommodations was great except for one hotel and what makes our tour so special was our tour director, he was the best. I will highly recommend this tour to my friends.
This is my third trip with Cosmos. Compared to the other two trips (Scandinavia & The Balkans) the accommodations in Morocco were of lesser quality and the breakfast buffet was consistently and definitely inferior.
One of the best trips I've ever had. Definitely worth it, and I would have paid much more for the experience.
The Morocco tour was amazing! Truly a great experience! I recommend the sahara desert and sunset excursion! The Tour Director was so nice, attentive and very patience considering the different nationalities she needed to deal with.
Thank you very much, it has been great experience!
Tour operator ( Cosmos ) SHOULD PROVIDE NAME TAGS ( even if only clothing stick-on ) !! ( This is the first tour we have ever taken that did not provide. ) Tour guide should alert persons who have physical handicaps regarding specific physically "difficult" areas. A couple of members experienced difficulties and one mentioned (to us) he would not have taken a specific walk had he known.
Everything about this trip exceeded my expectations. It was unimaginable. I highly recommend Cosmo for everyone who wants to experience a real vacation of a lifetime . This entire trip from beginning to end was interesting, exciting, enchanting, and educational. The main tour guide was perfect for her job. Every activity was well organized and on point. My group of 27 was very well behaved and accommodating. I am looking forward another similar to this in a years time.
The Tour Director was superb!
The Cosmos tour leader was amazing both in her knowledge of & love of morocco; we had never booked with Cosmos before and they certainly proved to have a quality product; the fact that we could receive a discount so easily from affordable tours made it all the better.
The operator's Tour Director, also, was highly appropriate for our purposes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience from first contact to return home. Yes, we'd do it again a thousand times!
This was my second trip to Morocco and I would highly recommend it to all. The square in Marrakesh was very exotic, it was a wonderful experience to walk down the souks and see all the spices etc (and make way for the donkeys laden with goods when someone called out 'Balak'. The countryside, the oasis, the Medinas and Kasbahs were great and the climb up the sand dunes to watch the sun set was great. (I may go again).
We greatly enjoyed our trip to Morocco with Cosmos.
This specific trip to Morocco with Cosmos was a spectacular and memorable experience. I absolutely loved it and recommend anyone interested in visiting Morocco to choose this one. Our tour guide Graham is extremely knowledgeable on the history and all the monuments in all cities visited. He also encouraged the group to be social and learn some of the local languages. Much detail was provided from his years of living in the country which made the trip run more smooth and inevitably so much more enjoyable. Thank you Graham, Abdulla and Hassan. Thank you most of all Cosmos!!! Sasha
