DAY 2, Friday - Arrive Tel Aviv
Welcome to Israel! Arrive in Tel Aviv; transfer to your hotel in this bustling seaside metropolis and center of commerce and culture. Balance of the day is at leisure to rest, relax and acclimate to your new time zone. This evening, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers at approximately 7 PM. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 5 PM on day 2 of the itinerary or earlier, if possible

DAY 3, Saturday - City Tour of Tel Aviv, Jaffa
Begin the day with a morning tour of the picturesque neighborhood of Neve Tzedek, dating to the early 1900s. Walk along the maze of narrow streets lined with restored historic Bauhaus and Art Deco buildings, galleries and quaint shops. The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps stroll along the lively seaside promenade, or relax at an outdoor cafe. This evening, embark on a tour of the ancient port of Jaffa where you will visit the Artists’ Quarter and later tonight enjoy dinner

DAY 4, Sunday - Caesarea, Haifa, Nazareth en Route to Galilee
This morning, depart Tel Aviv and travel north along the Mediterranean coast to ancient Caesarea. View the astounding Roman port and aqueduct, Byzantine streets, Crusader ruins and the 2,000 year old amphitheater. Visit the fascinating archaeological discoveries and learn about the rich history of Caesarea. Ascend scenic Mt. Carmel for splendid views of the sparkling bay below and visit the colorful market of the Druze village. Arrive in Haifa to view the impressive domed Baha’i Shrine and the stunning surrounding gardens incorporating nineteen distinct terraces in the heart of the city. Proceed to Nazareth and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, the largest basilica in the Middle East. Arrive at your hotel in the scenic Galilee region, located within a short distance of the Sea of Galilee

DAY 5, Monday - Day in Galilee
Spend the day at leisure in this lush region with deep religious heritage. Perhaps join the optional full day tour to Galilee that begins at the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached His famous "Sermon on the Mount". Next on to Safed, one of Judaism's holiest cities and mystical center of Kabbalah; walk through the colorful artists' colony and visit an ancient synagogue. Then, ascend the Golan Heights to understand more about this strategic area; visit Har Bental, site of a former Israeli bunker. After lunch at a kibbutz, taste special vintages at a winery in Katzrin before returning to Galilee in time for dinner at your hotel

DAY 6, Tuesday - Capernaum, Tabgha, Beit She'an, Jerusalem
Drive to Capernaum, on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee, home to an ancient Byzantine synagogue and frequently mentioned in the Bible as Jesus' base during his Galilean ministry. Continue to Tabgha, the traditional site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Later, proceed to the impressive archaeological site of Beit She'an, an ancient city dating back to King Saul; see the remains of an ancient Roman city and the ongoing excavations. You’ll also stop in Beit Alpha to admire the magnificent mosaic floor of the 6th century synagogue. Journey through the lush Jordan River Valley and ascend the Judean Hills to Mt. Scopus, boasting stunning views of Jerusalem. Afterward, continue to Jerusalem for overnight

DAY 7, Wednesday - Mount of Olives, Western Wall
Tradition has it that Jerusalem is where King Solomon built the great temple, Jesus was crucified and Muhammad visited on his Night Journey. From the Mount of Olives, admire the stunning views of the city below. View up close the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the remnants of the Second Temple and visit the Davidson Center, where fascinating multi-media exhibits, including a reconstruction of the Herodian Temple Mount, bring to life the various periods in Jerusalem’s history. Later, stroll through the magnificently restored Cardo, the old Roman Road. Balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy Jerusalem’s unique atmosphere at your own pace

DAY 8, Thursday - Masada, Dead Sea
The day begins with a drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, past Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered to Masada. Ascend by cable car to the top of these heroic heights; listen to the brave tale of the Zealots who chose to perish rather than live under Roman rule. Visit the archaeological sites including the remains of Herod's Palace, a synagogue, bath houses, and dwellings. Proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for leisure time at the beach. Enjoy lunch with the group and float in the Dead Sea

DAY 9, Friday - Yad Vashem, Israel Museum
The discovery begins with a visit to Yad Vashem, memorial to the Holocaust. Walk through the Museum, the Children's Pavilion and along the Avenue of the Righteous, dedicated to Christians who rescued Jews during the Holocaust. Afterward, continue via the Supreme Court building and the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) to the Israel Museum with one of the world's most outstanding collections of Judaica. View the Scale Model of ancient Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book, housing the exceptional 2000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls. In the afternoon, you may choose the optional tour to Bethlehem that includes a visit to the Church of the Nativity, commemorating the birthplace of Christ. A stop for local olive wood handicrafts is included. Choose to participate in another optional tour this evening. First visit the Western Wall to witness the beginning of the Sabbath services before proceeding to the Hass Promenade for amazing views of the Jerusalem and the illuminated walls surrounding the old city. End the evening with a Shabbat dinner at Kibbutz Ramat Rachel

DAY 10, Saturday - Jerusalem Old City Tour
This morning, take a walking tour, exploring Jerusalem's walled Old City with its four distinct sections known as the Christian Quarter, Jewish Quarter, Muslim Quarter and Armenian Quarter. At Mt. Zion, visit the Room of the Last Supper and the traditional tomb of King David. From here, on to Tower of David Museum, guarding the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City, where you can explore the entire history of Jerusalem. Stroll along the Via Dolorosa through narrow alleys and souks to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the holiest sites in the Christian world. Spend the afternoon at leisure. This evening, enjoy dinner with the group on the last night in Jerusalem

DAY 11, Sunday - Travel to Eilat
After breakfast travel to Eilat, Israel’s southern-most city located on the Red Sea. Drive through the Arava Valley, an expansive desert stretching from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Arrive at your hotel and spend time at leisure. Perhaps, relax at your hotel’s pool, or on the beach, stroll along the seafront promenade and dine in one of the many outdoor cafes and restaurants

DAY 12, Monday - Day in Eilat
There’s lots to do in Eilat on your leisure day. Spend the morning enjoying the Red Sea’s crystal-clear turquoise waters – diving and snorkeling here is among the best in the world. Sunbathe at the pool or, just pamper yourself at the hotel’s spa. Or, participate in the optional Full Day Petra with lunch tour. Tour this amazing “Rose Red” City of Petra in Jordan, carved completely out of stone. Considered one of Jordan's greatest national treasures, the ancient city is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your tour of Petra begins with a short walk through the narrow gorge known as the "Siq", in the shadow of massive red and pink rock walls that leads to the astonishing Treasury monument. After lunch and visits to the soaring temples, palaces and theater in this expansive city return to Eilat

DAY 14, Wednesday - Travel to Jerusalem
This morning, travel back to Jerusalem. During the drive, pass by date palms that dot the landscape. This area is known for cultivating Medjool dates, a sweet fruit that is common in Middle Eastern cuisine. Arrive in Jerusalem and spend the remainder of the day at leisure for independent explorations. As one of the oldest and holiest cities in the world, there are endless opportunities to explore. A walk through the city's colorful neighborhoods reveals a diverse blend of traditional and modern cultures

    Upon arrival in Israel at Passport Control, you will receive an Israel Border Control / B2 Stay Permit called an "Electronic Gate Pass". Issuance of the pass replaces the need to stamp your passport. The Electronic Gate Pass is your official form of identification in Israel and must be kept in your possession at all times, and will be relinquished once you depart the country. Escorted tour group guests should bring this pass to the Welcome Meeting as your Tour Manager must record information from it to facilitate express hotel check-in during your tour. Failure to provide this pass at check-in will result in mandatory tax.
