Tour Itinerary

When you think of a vacation to Ireland, what comes to mind? Witnessing the lush, green landscape? Visiting historical and religious sights, and seeing remains from medieval times? Perhaps it is visiting farms or savouring authentic Irish food. If so, all of this and more are offered on this amazing Ireland tour—with overnights in Dublin, Ballina, Galway, Limerick, Tralee, and Waterford. As you’d expect on an Ireland tour, you will have the opportunity to see spectacular scenery. The 668-foot Cliffs of Moher on Ireland’s west coast offer breath-taking views of rugged cliffs dropping into the ocean. You’ll also witness sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly colored farmhouses, and a breath-taking panorama of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View as you travel around the Ring of Kerry, a 100-mile panoramic drive. The Aran Islands offer limestone rock, rugged cliffs, and a variety of wildflowers. On the largest Aran Island, Inishmore, you’ll visit Dun Aengus, one of Europe’s most spectacular and dramatic prehistoric stone forts on a truly unique and unforgettable day.Other historical sights you’ll see on this Ireland tour include Kylemore Abbey, a massive castle acquired by the Benedictine nuns, and Glendalough, the Christian monastic site founded by St. Kevin. You’ll also learn about Irish history on your visit to the Strokestown House, a restored 1740s mansion with its original furnishings and fabrics, splendid gardens, and Famine Museum. You’ll also get a taste of Irish life when you visit a sheep farm, where you’ll learn to make scones and then eat them. Then, sample a classic Irish Coffee at the very place where the first one was served in the 1940s after a group of Americans stepped of Pan Am Flying Boat in Foynes. Or how about lunch at one of the Aran Islands’ oldest and most traditional pubs or a dinner at a local pub on Dingle peninsula? All of these are special treats offered by Globus to bring authentic experiences to your Ireland vacation. So grab your camera and get ready for an amazing tour through Ireland!

Just returned from a 10-day trip to Ireland and it was simply AMAZING! Everything we thought it would be and more. Thanks Affordable Tours for fabulous trip experience!

By Mary M on Aug 30, 2019

I would encourage my family or friends to take this trip. We picked it because it went to specific areas and smaller towns. It was everything we expected.

By John C on Aug 16, 2019

Everything was top notch and our tour director made sure there were no problems or snafus.

By Gordon F on Aug 16, 2019

This trip was !st class Lodging was actually better than expected the Guide was experienced and knowledgeable

By Rodney H on Apr 12, 2019

Excellent tour guide and excellent driver

By Cassandra N on Sep 27, 2018

This tour was our first experience with both Globus and Affordable Tours. Our Affordable Tours representatives guided us through the registration, insurance, and other processes well. Globus provided an excellent guide and wonderful driver! The bus was quite comfortable, as were the hotels. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting Ireland.

By Margaret J on Sep 21, 2018

This tour gave us an excellent overview of Ireland. We enjoyed it very much.

By Cindy F on Aug 24, 2018

Wonderful trip..better than expected

By Brian b on Jul 06, 2018

Everything was great and first class. Air Canada Rogue terrible airline.

By Carole L on Jun 22, 2018

The itinerary and package were less expensive had I gone on my own to travel to the same locations. The accommodations were excellent. The Staff were professional at all times. The tour guide was well prepared and took care of us each step of the way. The Bus operator was excellent and handled herself well on the open roads and in the crowded cities.

By Vincent M on Apr 27, 2018

This was a great trip. The hotel accommodations were exceptional, the food good and the additional excursions were worthwhile except for the Dunguaire Castle Banquet. You sat on stools, the food was not good and definitely not worth the money paid. The only other negative was the description of visiting the Blarney castle. We were lead to believe we could visit the castle, which you can BUT there is an additional cost associated with it. This was very disappointing and I refused to pay the money to see the Blarney stone. Otherwise a great trip, had a fantastic group, an exceptional tour guide and a superb driver. Definitely worth the price.

By Linda T on Apr 13, 2018

The hotels were exceptionally nice. Would you believe we had the same tour director 18 years ago with Globus?

By Carol M on Aug 25, 2017

Our trip to Ireland was full of beautiful experiences, from the picture-postcard views of castles and round towers, the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, and the Ring of Kerry, to explorations of pedestrian cities with their mixtures of old architecture and new museums and shops. The countryside, from coastal views to pastoral midlands, is a feast for the eyes!

By Rebecca V on Apr 14, 2017

A wonderful trip. There were no problems of any kind. The tour director was considerate, kind, helpful, and professional. The same goes for the bus driver. They did everything possible to provide us with a happy experience and a sense of understanding of the country, the people, and it's history. Everything was done efficiently, but with enough time allowed to absorb the sights and sounds.

By James A on Sep 11, 2015

We had a wonderful tour of Ireland. Just what we hope for except one day of rain at Aran Island. Our Tour Director was outstanding in every way. She knows her stuff and made the tour. Our Coach driver did a really really nice job of getting us where we needed to be and was so accommodating with our luggage.

By Barbara B on May 15, 2015

Fabulous trip to Ireland. It all was made easy through the help of our agent. So pleased

By Gaye W on Sep 21, 2012

The trip to Ireland was even more than I expected. Things were well planned and executed efficiently. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and extremely humorous. I learned so much about the history of Ireland as well as geography. The rooms and food that were part of the package were wonderful. Thanks so much for all the work that goes into planning a trip like this. I take away great memories.

By Barrie B on Jul 06, 2012

Way too much time allowed (wasted) for shopping; would prefer more included guided tours rather than free time.

By Cynthia H on May 18, 2012

It was a wonderful package. the Bus driver and the Tour Guide were awesome, the absolute best!!!! I had a wonderful time.
