Tour Itinerary

This affordable vacation in Australia explores fascinating highlights from Melbourne to Sydney and from the wonders of the Outback to the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. Begin with city sightseeing and a free day in Melbourne. Your Tour Director has suggestions for you—perhaps a day trip on Great Ocean Road or a trip to Philip Island to see the famous Penguin Parade. Fly to Alice Springs in the Australian Outback and visit the School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service providing education and medical care to remote regions. Visit the Old Telegraph Station—vital to early settlers in this remote region. Venture on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) through the heart of the Outback. Keep an eye out for red kangaroos, dingoes, camels, and Brumbies (feral horses). Fly from the Outback to Cairns and take a catamaran cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef to explore by snorkel or glass-bottom boat. Spend a relaxing day in Cairns before flying to Sydney. Take a guided sightseeing tour of the city, including the famous Sydney Opera House. Take a scenic cruise on Sydney Harbour to end the day. This amazing budget-minded tour of Australia is made even better with a 14-night cruise to New Zealand. From Sydney, your ports of call include Eden and Melbourne along with New Zealand’s Milford Sound and Fiordland National Park. You’ll also visit Port Chalmers (Dunedin), Akaroa (Christchurch), Picton, Wellington, Napier, and Tauranga (Rotorua). End in Auckland to finish this amazing Australian and New Zealand vacation!
