The tour manager and the driver were wonderful and very professional. The tour manager provided an experience well above my greatest expectation. He was always helpful and provided in-depth information about everything. His ability to answer questions was excellent and there was no question he did not answer. Our tour manager treated everyone on the tour with the highest degree of professionalism while still being friendly. He had a wonderful sense of adventure as well as humor and used both to heighten each experience. I have been on a number of Gate 1 tours as well as other companies and he is as good as the best tour directors I have been with. His manner of sharing his experiences heightened each part of the tour and made it fun for each. I was apprehensive about doing something so different and he put me at ease as we did each experience. I would highly recommend Gate 1 and my tour director.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and accommodations provided by Gate1 in Peru. All the hotels we stayed in were high quality hotels with great locations. Our local Tour Manager was just great and everybody in our group was very happy with the service he provide. Being a native resident of Cusco, he was able to impart a lot of the local history and interesting information that made everybody in the group so tuned in.

Gate 1 did a fantastic job of hiring a very knowlegeable tour guide. Gate 1's itinerary also took us to places other tours don't go, and I really appreciated the comprehensiveness of this tour. The hotels were very adequate, some even five star. The only criticism I have is that it would have been nice to have had all of the meals included.

By Mei Yin S on Sep 23, 2016

Our tour manager was wonderful. She is knowledgeable, patient, helpful and interesting. In a nut shell, she made our trip more enjoyable.

When I booked this tour the travel consultant was always there to answer any questions that I had. The entire tour was wonderful! The tour director was very nice and the motor coach driver did a great job! We saw many beautiful sights and would choose Gate 1 again!

    By James I on Aug 26, 2016

The trip with Gate 1 was fantastic. We had a wonderful tour guide who went out of her way to accommodate all the travelers. You could never do all the things we did without a tour guide who new how to avoid crowds and get you ahead of the line at most attractions. All the local guides hired by gate 1 were also exceptional, they very knowledgeable and funny. If I ever due another tour, which after this trip I am sure I will , Gate 1 will be my choice.

    By Nancy G on Aug 18, 2016

This was our first Gate 1 tour and we were very pleased with our experience.

    By Donna P on Aug 14, 2016

This trip was AWESOME. Even with the high altitude situation. Our tour guid was great. He made sure we were all OK and drinking plenty of water. He also made sure we rested and took the tour slowly. Machu Picchu was just amazing. Something everyone should see. The accommodations were good and the places we stopped are great. Even with the early start times it all turned out really good. .

    By Mary V on Aug 05, 2016

I was very pleased with the level of "attention to detail" throughout the entire trip from Gate 1. From the tour manager, to the local guides, the expert bus driver to the "family" bond we formed with our fellow travelers. I was pleased with everything. I\'m pleased I found this tour within the offerings posted from AffordableTours.

    By Wayne B on Aug 02, 2016

This was my first trip with Gate1 and I was very pleased by the experience. The hotels were nicer than I imagined, the bus was new and the staff was professional and helpful. Our travel director in particular was knowledgeable about all aspects of Costa Rica and interesting to listen to as we drove. Overall the trip probably cost about half of what it would have been if I had tried to do it all myself.

    By Jonathan C on Jul 31, 2016

Great trip overall We were picked up at the airport (CDG) by a representative from Gate 1 and a Driver who escorted us to the hotel in the morning. Our tour guide  was absolutely amazing--she was considerate and got the tour group on time every day. She exceeded all expectations in knowing Paris and the northern regions. She was always educating the group on the stops and was the best guide I have ever had. The restaurants that were selected provided an excellent value for great meals and we were given adequate time to see all the sights in the Loire valley. Our local guides were also very informed for the Versailles side trips and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was key to travel in the early part of August since France was on vacation and this allowed for less commute time. This was my first time traveling with this company and I look forward to booking another tour with this company and Gate 1.

    By Mary L on Jul 25, 2016

My 13 y.o. grandson was VERY impressed and we both enjoyed the tour immensely.
