The Cuba people to people trip was amazing! We learned so much about Cuba, their culture, government and the way people live. All the activities were very interesting and the people we met were friendly and hospitable. If someone is looking for US style hotels, they need to stay home. The only places we found where the people were not terribly accommodating were at the hotels. All our other encounters were positive. Cuba has a long way to go before they are ready for a huge influx of tourists, but if you can handle some minor inconveniences it is well worth the visit.
Hotels were city-centric. Although nice hotels, it seemed that as a single traveler and despite paying a supplement, my room was often smaller and without a view.
Great tour director and bus driver. hotels were excellent
Our tour America's National Parks was more than expected. The parks visited and the accommodations were wonderful. If you have not been to these National Parks, there is no way to imagine their splendor. Our tour guide was knowledgable and more than willing to be of service. Our driver was the best there could be.
Tour Guide was a little unorganized when plans were changed due to weather - no whale watching/ landing at different port for Martha's Vineyard due to weather on both accounts - wasn't a backup plan in place.
The tour director was very proficient and professional. She was exceptional. The hotels were all beautiful, service and food was excellent. We had a fantastic vacation. It was all we hoped for and more!
I've traveled with other tour companies before - Insight, Contiki, Gate 1 Travel. All of them were enjoyable however, this tour from Globus completely exceeded by expectations. The hotels were all centrally located, the local tour guides spoke clearly, were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Above all, the tour director was phenomenal.
This is my 9th escorted tour and by far the most enjoyable. The tour was well paced and the attractions were diverse. Our guide, really knows WWII and did a fantastic job with the historical points of interest. Our local guides were knowledgeable and most added a unique perspective. Our guide for walking tour of Dresden, was raised during the Soviet occupation and was particularly entertaining. The included breakfasts and dinners (7) were enjoyable and well planned. The hotel dinners were usually at the end of the longer days, and fit in well with our schedule. My only complaint is the farewell dinner, which would have been better if held at a local restaurant. Saying your goodbyes deserves atmosphere, and it was totally lacking at the Sheraton Westpark farewell buffet. We really enjoyed our time in Poland. They people are extremely friendly and English is spoken everywhere. You'll need local currency. A 24/7 Exchange is available a half block for the Warsaw Hilton and a supermarket is right next store. The excursion to the Wielczka Salt Mine was fantastic and not to be missed. There was enough variety in sightseeing to balance the depressing nature of the concentration camps. It's truly shocking what these people went through. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested the war and IMO is 5 out of 5 stars for the price.
The trip was well-paced, informative, and accommodations, staff, and food were excellent.
The Globus trip we took to Warsaw, the Baltics & Helsinki was outstanding. We have made over 20 trips to Europe and this one would be in our "Top 5" picks.
This is an awesome itinerary; no traveler could be disappointed! Good commentary through beautiful scenery. Hotels and food are wonderful.
This was my first Globus trip and it was great! Hotels were excellent and well placed, provided meals were very good and our Tour Director was outstanding. He was exceptionally knowledgabel and organized. The itinerary was wonderful and the fact that the weather cooperated with our activities certainly helped make this an exceptional trip!
A very smooth and orderly tour which I thoroughly enjoyed. And would gladly do again.
We booked our tour through Globus. Globus has been one of the best tour companies we have traveled. All of our trips have been domestic in the US, It includes Alaska and Hawaii. The tour directors/guides are very knowledgeable and helpful. We pick our tours based upon areas we have not seen and the content of those tours. The tours are packed with key areas of interest.
The trip was great. All the places that were described in the booklet we visited. The accomodations we stayed in were very different. We stayed in log cabins on some of the parks. We visited some big cities and got a taste of it. All in all we enjoyed our trip and would definitely use Globus again.
