Tour Itinerary

Get cozy at an agriturismo on the Amalfi Coast, hike the famous "Walk of the Gods", explore chic resort towns and historic villages, savour delicious home-cooked Italian food made from local ingredients, enjoy having the Amalfi Coast to yourself during the off-season

Get ready to live like a local on this off-season trip to the hilltop towns and vineyards of the Amalfi Coast, where you'll explore the small towns and trails of this beautiful countryside while experiencing local customs and once-in-a-lifetime moments. Explore the ruins of Pompeii in the morning, hike the coastline of the Med by afternoon, and tuck into bed at your converted 17th-century monastery homebase at sundown. Since this trip takes place in the off season when it's just a bit cooler out, there are fewer people around the Amalfi Coast—meaning you'll have that much more paradise all to yourself.

Day 1: Naples
Arrive at any time. There is a brief orientation walk after an optional group dinner.
Activity: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards.
Activity: Enjoy a brief walk with your CEO. He/she will give you some tips on finding things like supermarkets, main squares, and ATMs. For more specific or in-depth information, an official guided tour is recommended.
Accommodation: Hotel Correra 241 (or similar)

Day 2: Naples/Furore
Start the day G Adventures supported Migrant tour of Naples. Afterwards, travel to Pompeii to enjoy a guided tour of the partially buried ruins before transferring to a beautiful agriturismo nestled in the hills above the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy the first of many delicious home cooked Italian dinners and one of two cooking demonstrations.
Activity: Catch a glimpse of another side of Naples - through the eyes of a newcomer to Italy. This unique tour combines historic sites with landmarks important to the wide variety of migrant groups that call Naples home. Travellers are not just receiving a tour they'll never forget, they're also supporting an organization dedicated to help migrants integrate into a more accepting society.
Transport: Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Activity: Walk through the ruins of Pompeii, which was buried under ash and pumice when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. The forum, the baths and many houses remain well preserved and provide us with a glimpse of what life was like in the first century.
Transport: Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Activity: Before dinner, our local hosts will show us how to make delicious traditional regional fare, using local produce. Depending on the weather, you may find yourself picking ingredients for your meal from the vegetable patch and orchards before the lesson!
Meal(s): Breakfast Dinner (Enjoy a delicious 3 course home cooked Italian dinner.)

Day 3: Furore
Visit the seaside town of Sorrento and enjoy an orientation walk before free time.
Transport: Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Activity: Enjoy a brief walk with your CEO. He/she will give you some tips on finding things like supermarkets, main squares, and ATMs. For more specific or in-depth information, an official guided tour is recommended.

Transport: Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Meal(s): Breakfast Dinner

Day 4: Furore
Set out on the famous 'Walk of the Gods' hike, weather and conditions permitting.
Transport: Lace up your hiking boots and get to the next stop under your own power.
Activity: Set off from the small town of Bomerano and follow the path along the Amalfi Coast with sensational views of lemon groves, gorges, deep valleys, woodland, abandoned farmhouses, and the sea below. Stop in the towns of Montepertuso and Positano, where there is more to explore. Note that hikes are accessible for all travellers, but there can be sections that are more strenuous and challenging due to terrain. Please ensure you have proper hiking footwear.
Transport: Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Meal(s): Breakfast Lunch (Picnic lunch.) Dinner (Enjoy a delicious 3 course home cooked Italian dinner.)

Day 5: Furore
Enjoy a free time to enjoy the property and its surroundings. Opt to indulge in a mozzarella-making and/or a limoncello making demonstration. In the evening, learn how to make pizza the Italian way.
Activity: Dig right into the dough and learn how to make pizza, Italian-style. Naples is the birthplace of pizza, and it's basically just right up the road (or up the coast), so this is just about as authentic as you're going to get. Buon appetito!
Meal(s): Breakfast Dinner (Guess what's for dinner! Your very own homemade pizza, handcrafted by you.)

Day 6: Furore
Visit Amalfi and Ravello with free time to explore before returning to the agriturismo.

Questions & Answers

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

Each person is allowed one "check-in," and one "carry-on." Remember to take all valuables with you as "carry-on", because electronic equipment, cameras, laptops, jewelry, business documents and money are not covered by the airlines' liability, so always carry them aboard with you.

Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?

Airfare from your point of origin to and from the trip is not included in the land price.
