The 11 Day Crown of Central Europe hit all of the highlights of major cities! Most mornings were spent on the tours that were included as part of the package. The afternoons were optional excursions or free time in each city. A lot of walking was necessary to see the historical sites. We took advantage of most of the optional excursions and were most pleased with the Danube River Cruise and Dinner on the new Gate 1 ship and the Linderhoff Castle was fabulous! The country dinner was also good food and great fun! Our tour of the Eagle's next was on a rainy day, so the views were not available. It was informative but more of a tourist trap with the restaurant using a majority of the space. Our tour director, Clare, was warm and well organized and the tour group meshed well. This was our second tour with Gate 1 and we would definitely use them again.

I came back from this trip very satisfied. Clare our tour guide as well as the local guides did a fantastic job giving out information based on their experience and sharing their insights, they integrated the group positively and the seat rotations were very effective. In general I liked all the hotels in terms of location, service and quality for the money except for the Sheraton in Munich which on returning in the evening from a long day of sightseeing our room had not been made and only one fresh towel was left in the bathroom.

The tour in general was good . I have taken many tours with Globus in the past and they had more high end feel . We are a married couple and we had twin beds in every hotel, except the last hotel in Budapest. The breakfasts were wonderful and the tour guides were exceptional. especially the guides in Prague ( Anna), Munich and Salzburg . I would recommended a better itinerary that would include one day in Vienna and two days in Salzburg or the lake region . Our guide Neira was a delight . She took care of every detail and was extremely knowledgeable about every country we visited . Diners at the hotels in Prague and Salzburg were mediocre at best . The worst experience we had was at the included restaurant in Munich . We treated very rudely by the staff and the food was fair . I would never return to that restaurant. The staff was inpatient and made you feel as if you were an inconvenience to them . All in all we had a great vacation and really enjoyed the city of Munich best .

We had an amazing experience in this particular Escorted Tour; our tour guide, Karol, did an outstanding job to make our holiday an extraordinary experience. He went above an beyond expectations to make sure every single person in out tour had a great time. The bus we used was impeccable and the bus driver, Krisztian, was very professional and assisted everyone to be safe and comfortable at all times. The accommodations were as expected, first class for a European vacation. The optional activities are exceptional and complement the tour well: Eagle's nest, the Vienna concert and the Parliament and the tour to the Synagogue in Budapest are a most.

Group was large but not one pain .in the arse. The guide was great!
