Hygiene and Safety Protocols for Globus Tours
Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Globus' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Globus has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.
It all starts with Globus' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Globus' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.A SAFE & WARM WELCOME
Globus will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE
Globus will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Globus' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTH
To ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Globus will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Globus' team members when with guests.TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDS
Traveling with Globus removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Globus are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.COMMITMENT TO CLEAN
As a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH
Globus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Alex was very helpful with our booking and was very nice to work with. Always returned our call to that care of any of our questions. I would recommend affordable tour to our friends and would defiantly book another tour with them Sam and Patty
Our whole group had a problem with the food service at the hotel in Naples. At one breakfast a group ate before the 7 am Time and there was no food left for us. They were like locusts consumed everything, the staff tried to replenish but not in an acceptable way. We left hungry with not even coffee.
We had a fantastic tour director. He made sure that our needs were taken cared of. He was proud to show us his country. He was fun and very personable. He went out of his way to assist us find place or item we want to take home. He saw us off on our departure day. That was so awesome.
I had a wonderful trip! Our guide, Giacomo, was very knowledgeable. The tour was well organized.
The trip was great!!!!!!
This was our third Globus Tour and we have been very pleased with every trip. The best thing about Globus Tours is the Tour Guides. On this particular trip, Salvatori was great - lots of personality and very knowledgeable. On all of these trips the drivers were excellent. Luca was our driver on this trip. The tour was exactly as described in the tour brochure. It was fast paced and covered everything listed. We had a couple of unexpected issues. We ended up in a 3-hour traffic jam right outside of Rome on our way to Pompeii and Naples. We also had a mirror on the bus knocked off by a truck while the bus was on the ferry to Palermo. In both cases Salvatori and Luca performed very professionally and rearranged the schedule and transportation to make sure we received the experiences we had been promised. We were very impressed with their resourcefulness and flexibility.
Dana was a great help! We will book again with her.
For spending fifteen days, we didn't see a whole lot. Globus seemed to cater more to those electing excursions leaving the remaining to fend for themselves. Being in a foreign country and not being able to speak the local language put us at a disadvantage when requesting meals on our own. Even at holels, our group seemed to bother restaurant employees. We have traveled other land tours having a representative for all groups. Other tours have always gave their guests heads regarding local vendors and what to look out for. Meals provided by Globus were disappointing. Not sure what the cause but a number of guests became ill at the end of the trip, me included. Thought it may have been something we ate the night before.
Early stage was too rapid to understand all we were seeing. Tour director had problems with English. She was thorough in managing details. Too much selling of extras and goods.
One awful tour. Too regimented, zero down time. Hotels in Assisi and Agrigento were disgusting!
The trip to that was to Italy and Sicily was even better than I expected. The locations we visited were magnificent. Most of the hotels were very nice but there was one in Assisi that was not up to my expectation. The tour director and guides were all very good.
Our first trip with Globus was beyond our expectations! We will definitely be back.
The Italy/Sicily Globus tour was excellent! We enjoyed every minute. It was very fast paced, and crowded in Italy, most likely due to the terrorism threats in France. We felt very safe in Italy with the high presence of police and military everywhere we travelled. We would have preferred a better class of dining experience. The meals were fine, but not the best tables (back rooms that were overly crowded and difficult to carry on conversations with new friends) instead of the terrace tables or tables with a view of the sea. The pace of the meals seemed way too rapid. We would have preferred a great location and a 2-3 hr meal. To get the better tables, we were able to request them ourselves and enjoy a leisurely paced european style meal at most lunches, but not the dinners and/or optional meals we purchases thru Globus. A Shame! Some of the hotels didn't seem 'first class' to us, while others were a pleasure to enjoy.
at times a little rushed
Make sure your in good shape physically for this trip...lots of walking and in and out of the motor coach...long coach rides to each destination...breaks are always provided...you really EXPERIENCE Italy on this trip.
Trip was fast as expected with little down time. Saw a lot would have like more time in some like the Vatican but understand trying to miss the crowd. One hotel one in particular was subpar, door had been broken off with the facing missing and drywall exposed. Light in bathroom was like a strobe light and never stayed on, as we arrived late to this hotel I did not want a repair man in my room at night so I did not report.
Our hotel rooms were very beautiful. The meals were wonderful and in very nice restaurants. Our last day of touring was canceled because of a large fire on the road to our destination. That was a disappointment. However that is not your fault or the fault of Globus. There was no other alternate route. The weather was hotter and there was more walking than we expected. However that helped us keep our weight down after such great meals.
Only 2 hotels were what I consider a little less than the rest (Assisi being one but can't remember the other hotel). All other hotels exceeded my expectations and I would classify them as 4 star. Other two hotels were very old and not as modern but they were very clean and comfortable.
I would like to say that I had the trip of a lifetime! I waited 18 years to get to go on this trip, and I did a lot of research to find just the right tour. Affordable Tours included both ALL of Italy AND Sicily, which is exactly what I wanted to do (my dad Napolitano and my mom Siciliana). I am retired, but have been a professional photographer, and the pics I got have received rave reviews, which really made me extremely happy. My photo album on Snapfish will be incredible! I have told many people after I returned that if I were to die this day, my life has been complete!!! And, since it was my birthday the day we toured Rome, thank you, Affordable Tours, for the BEST birthday of my life! (Plus, our local guide on that day - Simone - was fabulous and very learned, AND SIMPLY GORGEOUS!) He announced it was my birthday to the entire crowd at the Colisseum! What a day! What a trip! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
The hotel in Rome was not centrally located. We did not stayed in Venice, but in Lido.
We had a fabulous tour director. She was organized and efficient. She was friendly and treated everyone kindly. She went out -of her way to assure we all had the best of experiences. She was very knowledgeable and was a joy to learn from about each city we visited. The tour director far surpassed my expectations. She is a gem, and the absolute best tour guide i have ever had. I would love to take another trip with her as our guide. Globus is blessed to have such a wonderful guide. The driver was an excellent driver. He didn't talk to us, but he always smiled. He also was efficient to always have our luggage to our rooms quickly. They worked so well together and laughed often which was also a plus to the trip.
Great trip with Globus! Great communication and service from Affordable Tours. Thanks for the memorable experience. Much appreciated.
