We greatly enjoyed our Best of the British Isles 2019 with Globus. We received a very good price by booking with Affordable Tours and were provided excellent service in all aspects of our trip by both Affordable and Globus. We will have no hesitations with future bookings. The tour through England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland more than met all our expectations. A totally Great Trip!
Vanessa was fantastic - taking care of everything we needed. The trip met every expectation we had.
The Inverness Scotland hotel Columba Hotel booked for May 20 was very disappointing. A alternate room was requested when the commode in our room would not flush and we were not moved.
A wonderful vacation that will bring memorable times forever. Globus toured to so many key areas many locals don't see. I would definitely recommend this itinerary for those who can spend three weeks touring all the UK... London, Liverpool, Edinburg, Inverness, Dublin, Stonehenge, the sights were awesome, the hotels first class and the food delicious.... The only issue is public restrooms... A long journey needs these and they are few. Only the business offer them at a price.... Thank you Globus for a great experience!!!
Disappointed in some of the hotels. Also disappointed in the tour with Globus. The excursions were very expensive and not all were worth it. In other guided tours, Grand Circle Travel and Traflagar the tour director gave us a walking city tour in every city we were in. This tour director did not give us any walking tours of cities, Glasgow, Exeter, London, Cardiff, Looe, Edingburg, Warwick, York, etc. The tour director would tell us where the pubs, ATM and shops were in the general directions. Then leave us at the hotel. We had to get maps from the hotel. And search the town our selves. But of been nice if we had the history of the town and shown some of the different area. Not happy with the Toronto Airport and flight to Harrisburg. Every flght was delayed or cancelled. Really unacceptable. Weather was not a factor. No crews available or airplane needed repair.
Globus delivered what was offered. Great trip!
It was our first trip with Globus, but not our last. The tour was very well organized and maintenance free for us. All we had to do was enjoy it. Our tour guide was exceptional and kept us entertained throughout our travels. In addition to our scheduled excursions, Globus took us to many other locations that tourist generally don't know about so that we could see the other sides of life beyond the touristy attractions. The food and accommodations were exceptional and our bus driver's driving skills were amazing. They were almost as entertaining as our tour guide the way he maneuvered the small country roads. We can't wait to choose our next vacation!
We only had one problem with a hotel food service, but our tour guide was all over it and reported this to Globus.
Our guide through Globus was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. Less than midway through the 3 week tour, we all began to feel like a family, in the good sense of companionship and looking after one another.
Ours was a good tour with the only drawback being that covering in excess of 2500 miles in under 3 weeks resulted in an excessive amount of bus time.
Columbia hotel had window kept open with an iron. Several hotels had very poor Internet access. My husband would have preferred beer as he doesn't drink wine with some of the included dinners. We totally enjoyed our tour director & coach driver.
The tour director was poor. Two of the hotels had mold. Hotels not always near sites. Never enough time at stops. The whole tour needs to be revamped.
The itinerary of the trip was nicely varied, and lots of fun. The extra excursions were enjoyable, but some fairly tourist oriented. We would like to see more like the 2 pub nights in Ireland (Waterford) and England (out of Exeter) that were more authentic. We personally went to a concert at Siamsa Tire in Tralee, Ireland, and there were lots of buses there. So I know that could be arranged in season. Top of the line entertainment. Although the "castle" nights were fun, the group we saw, Turas, was much better.
Two of the hotels did not have air conditioning in the rooms. Improvement can be made with the quality of the meals provided on the tour.
Our booked trip with cosmos was cancelled so we were offered an excellent deal with Globus. It proved to have 5 star hotels and fantastic tour guide. It is impossible to travel the British Isles by car, as the traffic and opposite side of the road driving is crazy. Our bus driver was an unbelievably great driver but fill of personality and funny. Our tour guide was very informative, funny and organized. We loved her. Great trip Thank you
Globus' tour director for our trip was amazing. Her knowledge of, and witty stories about every place we visited was so entertaining. We decided she was largely responsible for the wonderful time we had. I've been on other Globus tours and this one was the best. I would highly recommend them as the tour group to chose.
This was my first trip with Globus and I have to say it was just wonderful. It far exceeded my expectations. We had the most wonderful tour guide. Her knowledge of all the stops was incredible. Our bus driver was also the best. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed all of the places we visited.
This being our 3rd tour booked through Affordable Tours we are extremely satisfied with the services that you provided.
Regarding the accommodations, most were very good. The exceptions were both Mercure Hotels and the Holiday Inn in Plymouth. We made a note of this with Globus. They were not terrible but not as good as the others. Holiday Inn was the only hotel not to offer free Wi-Fi. Otherwise, the trip was wonderful as Globus always is.
We were very impressed with them on this trip. The tour director was great. The director and bus driver were always very professionally dressed. The bus was always neat and clean and the Globus organization of the tour was outstanding.
Wonderful job by Globus. First class tour director. A lass with class. Our agent did a great job, as usual
It was a great trip and we had an especially wonderful tour guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and caring. Our bus had a bad accident, but no one was injured and we got another bus and driver and went on our way without much loss of time. Globus did a fabulous job.
