Question: what type of transportation is included
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
I was very disappointed with the quality and location of several of the hotels and the included meals. Two of the included meals took almost two hours to serve - ridiculous. Since the scheduled beginning time was 7:00 there was no time for anything else that evening. This was my seventh Globus trip but I am not sure if there will be an eighth. I plan to consider other companies. Both the tour director and the driver were excellent and tried to make things better for the many tour participants who were unhappy.
In comparison to three previous Globus tours, this one did not meet our expectations. The trip itself was fine, however accommodations and tour provided meals were far below what was experienced during our other trips. (Italian Mosaic - 2015, The Best of Eastern Europe - 2016, Lisbon & Northern Spain - 2018). We also thought the optional tours were too costly for the value received. Hotels in London, Exeter and Edinburgh were good. The others, marginal except Liverpool which was poor. The Novotel Liverpool hotel had a weird bathroom, in which the toilet is in a separate room from the sink and shower, had very slow drains and leaky pipes so the floor got wet. Also, the hotels in Warwick and Edinburgh were not conveniently located. Never saw Warwick and the Edinburgh hotel was 6 miles from the central city. Tour provided meals were of a far lesser quality and quantity than previous tours. Breakfasts were OK. The one provided lunch was good. The provided dinners were poor, especially the dinner in Exeter which was quite bad. Globus should have informed us that Westminster Abbey is closed to visitors on Sundays. If we would have known we would have visited it upon our arrival on Saturday. It was also weird not to meet the tour guide until the 3rd day. On the plus side, the tour guide, Christian, and bus driver, Kevin were excellent.
Globus did not offer a meet and greet with fellow traveling companions. Some hotels did not have all rooms ready. Buffet breakfasts were crowed and not well staffed. Too many tour groups for facility.
All hotels were supposed to be 4+ stars, however there were a couple that were barely 3 star hotels.
