Well paced tour. Christina was a friendly and informative guide. Accommodations were good and enough free time to see what you wanted while the tour covered a lot.

The bus driver was wonderful. The hotels (exept Jurys Inn) exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was a dud and it was her first tour with Gate one and of this area. She was full of information, some of it blatantly erroneous) ,and she didn't take a flag if we needed to follow her; indeed, she didn't even look for the group, which was relatively small. She did make sure everyone was punctual which was great and also tried to accommodate people's requests but she was basically unfamiliar with some of the places we visited. As she was new we overlooked a lot but it did create some stress at times. Her walking directions weren't clear and we were afraid we'd not find the bus. The tour of London was ridiculous, a quick drive though with a 10 minute stop at the palace. The Liverpool tour guide was very nice but he sounded like a recording. The Edinburgh guide was great; head and shoulders above the other two and she soldiered on in awful weather. The food included varied, all in all perfectly acceptable, and some meals were quite good. Breakfasts were really good. We enjoyed the trip but would never take this kind of tour again as there just wasn't enough time in London and we felt we needed a more intensive experience in the other cities as well, we did next to nothing in Llverpool. The optional tour in Bath was well worth it for Harry Potter fans, which my grandchildren are. For showing two 16 year olds England and Edinburgh this was fine but I think if we do something like this again with my other grandchildren we would either do it on our own as we have in the past, or take a more intensive tour.
