Tour Itinerary

“Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!” Oh, wait…in Africa you won’t see bears and tigers. But you will see lions, and elephants, and hippos, and giraffes, and rhinos, and gazelles, and much more! And no one brings you Africa like Monograms! On this 8-day private safari, we've arranged your choice of accommodations, almost all of your meals, game drives, and ground transportation between destinations. Plus, Monograms has arranged for you to have private 4-wheel drive safari vehicle with a professional Driver/Guide throughout your vacation. That’s right—private, ensuring this is your safari…your way! Along the way, your Driver/Guide will share insider knowledge about the wildlife and local culture in Tanzania. The safari vehicles feature a pop-up roof for easy game viewing and photography. Your vacation begins the moment you arrive in Arusha, Tanzania, where we can pick you up at the airport and escort you to your hotel. From there, travel to Tarangire National Park, where you will have three game drives to see elephant, wildebeest, eland, zebra, and Cape buffalo that congregate around the water holes. We'll then take you to Lake Manyara National Park, where you may see elephant, giraffe, and Cape buffalo in the groundwater forests, grassy plains, and alkaline Lake Manyara itself. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest unflooded caldera. On your full-day game drive here, you may see lion, Cape buffalo, hippo, elephant, flamingo, and maybe even the rare black rhinoceros. From Ngorongoro, we’ll transfer you to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's largest and most famous park and home to the annual wildebeest migration. In your three game drives here, we’ll be on the lookout for the “Big 5”—lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, elephant, and rhino. Have your camera ready because there’s also an abundance of other animals, including cheetah, giraffe, gazelle, and eland. And did we mention that in addition to all of these game drives, we've made your life easier by securing a day room for you at a hotel in Arusha at the end of your trip? Even when it’s time to say goodbye, we’ve handled all the details, so you’ll be able to wait in comfort before transferring to the airport for your late-evening flight. Between game drives we've arranged, the private 4-wheel drive safari vehicle we've included, the accommodations we’ve booked, and the Driver/Guide we've arranged, the only thing for you to do is to grab your camera and enjoy this spectacular experience. With the time and stress saved by not having to figure out for yourself where to go and how to get from one park to the next, you've got yourself a vacation of a lifetime!

(B,L,D)
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Hygiene and Safety Protocols for Monograms Tours

Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Monograms' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Monograms has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.

It all starts with Monograms' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Monograms' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.

A SAFE & WARM WELCOME

Monograms will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.

BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE

Monograms will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Monograms' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.

FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTH

To ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Monograms will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Monograms' team members when with guests.

TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDS

Traveling with Monograms removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Monograms are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Monograms will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN

As a part of Monograms' commitment to clean, Monograms is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.

PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH

Monograms has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

It was an amazing trip with fantastic local guides in every location.

Excellent services, reliable, informative, friendly

Our trip was wonderful. Everything that was offered was provided. The local hosts were great and professional.

The travel consultants are knowlegeable about tour details and do a great job matching customer needs with the right tour.

Monograms was just the right mix for us. City tours and transportation were great - but we enjoyed the flexibility of going out and seeing what we wanted to see at our own pace.

Outstanding service and organized. Would recommend to anyone.

I wouldn't change a thing. From start to finish-professional advice and detailed explanation of what to expect-a great adventure!

The Monograms local host system worked like clockwork. They were there as scheduled and took the worry out of flight, hotel, and tour transfers.

A trip that I found to be a nightmare to try and plan on my own was made so easy by having Marianne take charge and make all of the arrangements. I had been searching on line, had met with a local travel agent, and was overwhelmed and really getting nowhere. I was ready to give up on my trip planning, stumbled across finding Marianne, and suddenly she made the seemingly impossible happen with no problems! Without her expertise guiding me along and handling the arrangements, I have no doubt that this trip would not have happened. As for the trip: Monograms did a superb job with putting their package together. It more than exceeded my expectations. this will undoubtedly rank as one of my best trips EVER.

Monograms was fantastic. We were independant and did not use them for many of the excursions but they were very helpful for first day orientation, suggestions and were available throughout for any questions. The included half day tours were very good. If you wanted to have everything arranged for you instead of being independant there were many good excursions to choose from.

Very well organized tour, knowledgeable guides. Have a wonderful time.

Monograms was wonderful! Everything was just as they promised. The travel was easy, there were no surprises, it was a stress-free vacation! Having the local host available was great. They were all valuable.

This is our third trip booked with Trena through Affordable Tours using the Globus company. The trip went off without a single glitch from flights to airport transfers to hotel.

Monograms, for the most part, was great We loved the "independent tour" format which gave us much more flexibility with our time in each place we visited. The local hosts were great-some better for us than others--but very helpful. The city tours which were provided varied in quality but usually gave a good overview of the city. A couple of our hotels were not as good as others (construction in progress, smaller rooms or breakfast not as comprehensive) but all were clean and adequate. Two of our flights were changed by the airlines, but the transportation contracted by Monograms did not get the change (schedule change occurred weeks before we left the US for our trip) so did not arrive to take us to the airport. Thank goodness for Uber!

The hotels were wonderful, I can't complain about that.
