We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Gate 1 Tours to Thailand! Our tour guide/director, Steve (Ukkrit Packnoi) was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We enjoyed his historic explanations, insights, and anecdotes about Thai culture. He helped arrange additional excursions and made restaurant recommendations when asked. The accommodations in each city exceeded our expectations. Each was clean, convenient, and had a wonderful breakfast. The tour buses were kept immaculate and the drivers were excellent. The bus assistant was always there with hand sanitizer, bottles of cold water, and cool fresh towels. These were just what we needed after visiting the various sites in the extreme heat of Thailand. We had hoped that the buses would have USB ports to recharge our cell phones on the go. They did not. The itinerary was excellent and provided visitors with a nice range of experiences in each city. The stops at the jade factories in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai were not a favorite of many on the tour. These stops struck us as more commercial than cultural. With concerns about the novel coronavirus there were only 20 people on our tour. This number worked well as it was a congenial group and we were able to comfortably spread out on the bus. We covered a great deal of territory, flying north to Chiang Mai from Bangkok and working our way down south back to Bangkok. We were impressed with the ease of getting our group onto the Bangkok Airways flight and onto a tour bus in Chiang Mai. The two consecutive days that we travelled from Chiang Rai to Sukhothai and then to Ayutthayah seemed very long, despite Stev\'s efforts to keep us entertained on the bus. Maybe an additional night stop in between would break up the monotony of the long ride. To his credit, Steve provided rest stops and he stopped to point out areas of interest, such as rice fields for us to explore. Overall, we give Gate 1 Tours a ten rating (out of 10). We were fortunate to have Steve as our tour guide and we would rate him a 10 as well. This was our first organized tour abroad and we would definitely consider traveling with Gate 1 again.

We had a wonderful trip to Thailand, thanks to Gate 1 and our tour director Mike, he was great, he knows what he was doing, he was very knowledgeable, very organized and our driver Leo and his assistant was good, Hotel accommodations were superb, All nice and beautiful hotels. We had no complaints whatsoever. 3 thumbs up for the great job.

Great value for the cost. Flexible options for those who prefer more free time to explore on their own.

This was my second trip with Gate 1 and loved it. Our Thai tour guide Boom was so caring and took care of every little detail. I was traveling solo for the first time and I never felt alone
