Health and Safety Protocols for Trafalgar Tours
Trafalgar has introduced these enhanced hygiene protocols – for you and team members.
You can travel with Trafalgar and be assured that their team has put numerous new measures in place to elevate their hygiene standards and protocols. The well-being of guests and team has always been, and always will be, their primary concern.
In this new, fast changing Covid-19 era, Trafalgar is doing all they can to adapt to new requirements and expectations. Here are some important new steps and procedures that they have implemented to enhance hygiene protocols, to comply with physical distancing requirements by relevant government authorities and to give you the peace of mind when you are traveling during these new times.Expertly Trained Travel Directors
Travel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of the guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, Trafalgar will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of Travel Directors while on your trip. The Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.Stringent On-the-Road Protocols
The customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Trafalgar have taken additional measures to elevate hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. The Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All the guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.A Full Team of Support 24/7
It’s not just your Travel Director and Driver who will be taking care of you. Behind the scenes, the operations and guest support teams are in contact with them and on call 24/7, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.Physical Distancing
Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.Trusted Partners, Exceptional Standards
Trafalgar is very selective in who they work with and choose to only use hotels, restaurants, ground handlers and venues that take the well-being of the guests as seriously as Trafalgar does and agrees to meet expected guidelines and specifications. Trafalgar only works with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their high standards.Always in the Know
As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) , Trafalgar is kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis and is continually in touch with all of the partners on the ground in each destination. Also, rest assured that during your trip, the teams work to ensure the supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues) are also applying the same standard to these new hygiene and distancing protocols, to the extent possible.
Question: Is airfare included to these tours?
Question: We will already be in Algarve region of Portugal, and can get to Seville easily...any Spain tours (i.e. 7 days) that start, end there in November. Any suggestions?
Question: Do these trips include airfare?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Matt, our tour director, was excellent.
This trip with Trafalgar turned out to be on an extended touring bus which accommodates up to 53 passengers. This I did not expect; I expected up to 44 people max. We had 49. It's too big a group. Prefer smaller group. Would have booked Insight tour in lieu of Trafalgar had I known how large this group could be.
All expectations were met. Glen at Affordable tours was excellent.
Trafalgar had been consistent in their services.
Best tour yet!
I've booked 2 trips now through Trafalgar and both were great experiences. Our Tour Director, Maite, was a delight. She certainly made the experience memorable.
Nuno, our trip director was absolutely the best and we've been on several Trafalgar tours. All the tour directors were excellent but Nuno in the 99th percentile. His surprise extras were outstanding. He was fun and knowledgeable. If Nuno recommends a optional trip, take it. We'd definitely go on any trip he was directing. George, our driver really added to the experience. Not only was he an outstanding driver with an amazing eye for estimating small distances but he was also fun and easy to talk with. Although George and Nuno never worked together before, we (all 47 of us) were shocked when we learned this several days into the tour since they worked so seamlessly together. The only irritation was a few days before our departure they moved a couple of hotels from where we thought we were staying. We thought we were going to be more centrally located in a couple. However, 1) this was out of Nuno's control, 2) they warn you when you sign up that they may need to switch hotels, 3) all the hotels but one I'd rate at 5 out of 5 stars, and 4) we were still able to get around with out an issue.
The only hotel that not meet my expectations was the one in Seville. Great Location but the rooms were dirty. The Operator's Staff (Celia) was excellent.
The tour guide, Alberto, was excellent, and enlightened us about the nuances of Spanish culture throughout he Spanish Wonder Tour! All except for the hotels, matched the description offered. 3 of 5 hotels were changed, due to 2 parallel tours, and the Barcelona and Madrid hotels were quite distant from the city center. We chose not to take the optional dinner in Barcelona because we had very limited time to explore the sites, interesting neighborhoods, and the culture in this dynamic city. Otherwise, the tour provided excellent experiences that deepened our understanding of this varied and diverse country.
Our Tour Director, Alberto, was very professional and knowledgeable. He sent an email with detailed information about one week prior to departure which I think helped set the tone for the group. Our driver, Marcos, was also professional, courteous and a skilled driver. The entire group on the tour were great! Most importantly, everyone was on time each time the bus was ready to roll, there was no drama. I would absolutely consider booking another escorted tour with Trafalgar in the future.
We had an outstanding tour guide. Would definitely go on another tour with Trafalgar.
Trafalgar does it again! They make everything a breeze.
Throughout Spain most of our accommodations were spectacular in location, amenities, and service; however, Urban Dreams did not live up to the quality of the other hotels. When we arrived from a long day of touring and wanted to freshen up for dinner, the shower was not functioning. My husband called down to the desk and explained the situation, and the desk clerk sent up a maid "to turn the shower on for us". Of course, the maid discovered that, indeed the shower needed a plumber. My husband called back down to the desk and the response was less than expected. We were told first that they didn't think it would get fixed today because it was so late in the day. We then asked for another room and were told there were no other rooms. After a conversation, the hotel did manage to send someone up and the shower was fixed; however, we were late for dinner.
The tour was very well organized. The materials provided in advance were very informative and useful in selecting the optional activities and balancing what we could see within the time available. The local experiences were the best part.
Awesome trip!!! Would highly recommend! The Travel Director with Trafalgar was great! I met so many nice people from all over the world and we covered so much in 9 days. If you are looking for a taste of Spain this tour gives you just that!
Very pleased with Trafalgar, the travel director, and the bus driver.
The Hotels were extremely well located (except possibly in Madrid, but with the size of the group this may have been necessary). The hotel rooms were excellent - far exceeding our expectations. We very much enjoyed our Tour director. He made it easy for us to add additional sightseeing on our own. We would definitely book another tour with Trafalgar.
The first three hotels had problems. Madrid had black mold in the bathroom. Seville hotel was dark and dingy. 4 inch step to bathroom. No ac in lobby or hallway. Hotel in Granada hair dryer didn't work and no hot water. I found guide did not give clear directions when I was on my own. Never will take another trip with connecting flights. I have been sitting in Philadelphia waiting for a flight now delayed and have walked the airport because they keep changing the gate.
All costs should be part of the total price. We were strongly encouraged to take optional tours and to tip the tour director and the driver a certain amount (it seems that the tip is a major part of the tour directors and drivers salary). This should change in the future.
The best vacations we have taken have been Trafalgar. The care and attention was top notch. We miss our tour guide, bus driver than the wonderful folks we met on this trip.
Overall it was a wonderful vacation. The service was excellent, our tour guide was the best and most of all I loved Spain.
wonderful tour guide and amazing driver.
I was so amazed and thankful for this wonderful tour to Spain. The guides hotels and everything was just so wonderful. We had a great vacation and looking forward to booking the next one.
