Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The Madrid part of the trip was a little of let down, perhaps because of the weather and so much before. The Prado, Farewell dinner and another little Recon de la Cava restaurant stop in the Old Town certainly were the highlights and made my day. So much to see in the capital and so little time to see it is probably the reason. Certainly a wonderful stop nonetheless.
There were some itinerary changes, but the substitutions were good. Not all the accommodations were great. Some hotels did not even provide tea and coffee in the rooms. However, the itinerary covered all the Highlights (as promised) and the Travel Director, driver and tour guides were excellent (as also our co-travellers. Allin all, it was delightful experience, and I will certainly consider more trips with the same Operators.
The Hotel Barcelo was dark and temperature HOT. Did not like open concept bathroom, The Melia glass doors were atrocious! in the bathrooms. The Intercontinental in Madrid was the only acceptable bathrooms and room temperatures acceptable for this price and tour!
Trip to Spain was awesome, Insight tours was very good , the tour director Sara and driver the bus was very good, I look forward to another trip with them, and Cameron with Affordable tours was very helpful, thanks Anu!!
An amazing trip that covered all the highlights of Spain. The trip exceeded all expectations. It was our first trip with Insight Vacations and Affordable Tours but will not be our last. The trip was well organized witha good mix of planned activities but also left room for free time or optional excursions. The accommodations were definitely 4 star rooms in a desirable, central location in each city.
Our travel consultant was very professional, polite, patient and paid close attention to every detail to help us plan this tour. I traveled with a close girlfriend and we both felt very comfortable having her as our consultant. I appreciated her handling the transfer shuttle services to and from the airports in Barcelona and in Madrid. I'm thankful for her help in purchasing travel insurance. The trip was wonderful. I would have given a score of strongly agree for the accommodations if all accommodations were the level of the Barcelo Torre de Madrid. The staff there was most professional and the hotel was lovely. I was not pleased with the hotel in Valencia. I also did not feel the dinner service at the Granada hotel was the same standard as the meals at the other hotels.
The Insight guide was marvelous - very personable and knowledgeable. The driver was also excellent. The hotels were centrally located (except for Seville). We were given a good mix of included touring and free time.
The tour was wonderful. Two suggestions: No one met me at the airport when I arrived. I finally saw the insight bus leave but had to wait another two hours until the next bus arrived. At the second pick up time STILL no one was at the airport. I had found where the buses were parked and walked over and asked which bus I should get on. I was not the only person with a very bad experience at the airport. I was assigned a roommate when I checked into the hotel. We were well suited to each other and enjoyed each other's company. It would have been much better if we had had each other's names before the tour.
