Tour Itinerary

This tour of Poland and Eastern Germany is the perfect vacation for those who are interested in World War II. Your tour starts in Warsaw and ends in Munich. Along the way, you’ll visit cities, concentration camps, and places significant to World War II—with overnights in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Dresden, Berlin, Weimar, Nuremberg, and Munich.Throughout this tour, visit some of the World War II concentration camps. Walk around the most infamous, Auschwitz and Birkenau, and see chilling reminders of the Holocaust: visit Buchenwald concentration camp near Weimar; constructed in 1937, it was one of the largest concentration camps; and visit Dachau concentration camp, which started out as a work camp for German dissidents. In Krakow, visit the Remuh Synagogue, and the Oskar Schindler Factory, a museum devoted to the wartime experiences of Krakow and made famous in the movie Schindler's List. Also visit the Memorium Nuremberg Trials and Courtroom 600 (if available), and learn about the background and repercussions of the trials at the original location where they were held, as well as the Documentation Center and Zeppelin Field, where thousands of people gathered for Nazi rallies. These experiences – plus specialty dinners at local restaurants in Warsaw, Dresden and Nuremberg are just some of the special inclusions Globus offers to ensure your vacation is unique.World War II brought devastation to the cities that were bombed, and you'll visit some of those cities. In Dresden, participate in a guided walking tour of Dresden badly damaged by Allied bombing in February 1945 and since restored. Hygiene and Safety Protocols for Globus Tours

Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Globus' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Globus has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.

It all starts with Globus' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Globus' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.

A SAFE & WARM WELCOME

Globus will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.

BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE

Globus will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Globus' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.

FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTH

To ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Globus will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Globus' team members when with guests.

TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDS

Traveling with Globus removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Globus are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN

As a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.

PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH

Globus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Questions & Answers

Question: Do the tour prices include flight costs?

Airfare is not included in the price of the tour. Air prices vary depending on where you live and the dates of travel. If you’d like us to include airfare in your quote, simply let us know and we’ll be happy to provide those details to you. Please contact 1-800-935-2620 so a dedicated travel consultant can assist you.

Question: Does this quote include round trip airfare?

This does not include round trip airfare but any of our travel consultants are more than happy to price out round trip airfare for you from your specific point of origin.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

The tour was excellent, the hotels and attractions were above expectations.

This was a unique World War II Excursion. There was a lot of walking and there was some very unique things that we enjoyed along the way. Poland was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad that we went there too. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is looking for this type of trip.

This is my 9th escorted tour and by far the most enjoyable. The tour was well paced and the attractions were diverse. Our guide, really knows WWII and did a fantastic job with the historical points of interest. Our local guides were knowledgeable and most added a unique perspective. Our guide for walking tour of Dresden, was raised during the Soviet occupation and was particularly entertaining. The included breakfasts and dinners (7) were enjoyable and well planned. The hotel dinners were usually at the end of the longer days, and fit in well with our schedule. My only complaint is the farewell dinner, which would have been better if held at a local restaurant. Saying your goodbyes deserves atmosphere, and it was totally lacking at the Sheraton Westpark farewell buffet. We really enjoyed our time in Poland. They people are extremely friendly and English is spoken everywhere. You'll need local currency. A 24/7 Exchange is available a half block for the Warsaw Hilton and a supermarket is right next store. The excursion to the Wielczka Salt Mine was fantastic and not to be missed. There was enough variety in sightseeing to balance the depressing nature of the concentration camps. It's truly shocking what these people went through. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested the war and IMO is 5 out of 5 stars for the price.

Was very disapointed in Berlin. Globus would have known ahead of time that the president of Israel was staying there for the time we were and should have booked with another hotel. We were made to feel like terrorists with going through thorough security 3 times every time we went out. I'm not complaining about the security for a high official but if wanted that kind of security I would have gone to Israel. It was totally ridiculous and the hotel and Globus should be ashamed of themselves. It really put a damper on the vacation and I don't think there was one person that was happy with that.
