Hygiene and Safety Protocols for Globus Tours
Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Globus' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Globus has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.
It all starts with Globus' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Globus' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.A SAFE & WARM WELCOME
Globus will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE
Globus will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Globus' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTH
To ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Globus will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Globus' team members when with guests.TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDS
Traveling with Globus removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Globus are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.COMMITMENT TO CLEAN
As a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH
Globus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Overall our trip experience met our expectations. A couple excursions missed the mark but was compensated in other ways.
The Grand Scandinavia Tour by Globus was excellent for providing insight into the countries visited. The sites of Norway were especially spectacular. I highly recommend most of the optional excursions but we could have passed on the Njardarheimr Viking Village experience, which may be okay if you have children. I liked the fact that our tour had people from not just the US (we live in California), but Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, and India.
The tour was conducted professionally. There are two points that I will like to mentioned as I feel it is very important. 1) The quality of included food (breakfast and Dinner) were below standard and were repeated same every time. The response from the tour guide was by the book. 2) On excursions tours, lot of important places that should be covered were not covered or passed off due to time constraint.
Scandanavia is one of the most beautiful tours throughout all of Europe. This tour allows you to experience trains, ferries, and flying during the tour.
In their brochure they really do not prepare you for the very long hours on the bus. They stop at gas stations instead of nice little places for a coffee. You don't get in until late in the afternoon sometimes evening so you have no time to walk around before dinner. The dinners are mostly buffets and not very good. There are too many optional tours. And some of the optional tours should have been included because they were the main thing that you would want to see. In Copenhagen nobody would want to go there without seeing Tivoli Gardens and that's not included. If you love rushing to see a few things and being on a bus for hours upon hours then take the Scandinavian tour.
We've taken many Globus tours and look forward to many more.
We should be able to open our suitcases in our rooms without banging into them. The hotel in Oslo clearly stated that there was no air on the floor which we were placed. We were provided with a fan; however, there was literally no place to put it for it to function properly. There were only a few hotels that provided tissue. The transport provided should be refunded for its extreme inconvenience at the expense of the traveller for Globus' profit. We could have easily booked a cab. To get to the airport at 9:25 for a 2:00 flight that was not international was absurd. This was a real eye opener and deal breaker for us in whether we would ever consider using Globus again. We paid for a service that should have been a convenience. Fortunately, we only booked two excursions that definitely were not worth the expense at all. Globus provided very little on this tour other than excessive grueling travel.
The trip on the whole was wonderful and exceeded expectations. My only suggestion on the itinerary would be to fly from northern Finland to Heksinki, instead of having 2 days that were primarily driving days. Add an extra day each to Stockholm and Copenhagan.
So far, Globus has never disappointed me. We get what we expected. This particular tour, to the North Cape of Norway, was one of the better trips we have taken. It took us where we would have hesitated to do ourselves.
Globus is a wonderful company to travel with. The tour directors and drivers are outstanding. The company gives tour directors flexibility which on this trip proved very valuable indeed. Love the hotel choices in downtown locations which provide easy access.
