Health and Safety Protocols for Cosmos Tours
Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Cosmos' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Cosmos has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.
It all starts with Cosmos' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Cosmos' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.
A SAFE & WARM WELCOMECosmos will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.
BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCECosmos will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Cosmos' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.
FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTHTo ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Cosmos will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Cosmos' team members when with guests.
TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDSTraveling with Cosmos removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Cosmos are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Cosmos will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.
COMMITMENT TO CLEANAs a part of Cosmos' commitment to clean, Cosmos is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.
PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTHCosmos has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The tour was great and I loved the tour director. The hotels were much better than expected and the views were amazing. My only issue is the tour needs to end in the same city as the airport. I had to leave the tour a day early and it added so much extra cost to my trip to have to transfer to the linate airport the night before because I had an early flight. I had to pay transfer cost plus a hotel. I was unaware that cosmos does not provide transfers to this airport. I found out later once I received my paperwork. It is not clear on the tour info. I have traveled with trafalgar many times and never had this experience. It really messed up the end of my trip and left a bad impression with Cosmos.
This was the 1st time taking a Cosmos and was very happy with the tour. The tour guide was amazing and the tour moved at a good pace and covered everything we expected to see. The hotels were very good choices in good locations. Would definitely take Cosmos again!
Optional excursions were not good value for money
Our trip met our expectations
The itinerary mentioned the town of Como several times, but we did not actually tour Como or visit the historic town square.
No. 1: Was very disappointed that the dolomites excursion was not offered as we were told the weather, I went in early Oct. so the weather should not have been an issue in my opinion, but it was disappointing as that was a highlight of what I wanted to see.
No. 2: hotels, they were ok, Hotel Au Lac, Lake Maggoire was somewhat dirty, had to change my room, beds were horrible in Hotel Lario, Lake Como and asked for an extra quilt and they never brought it. I also did not like the food in any of the hotels that were offered, one offered canned fruit, Hotel Lario, that was wrong. I think a voucher to eat at local restaurants would have been better. The meals in Italy should always be great that's part of the entire experience. I don't think one should eat twice at a hotel while on the tour.
No. 3: For what the tour cost, I think some of the excursions should have been included, like the Verona walking tour, like the visits in Lake Garda to the districts/villages, why should that have cost, we were only dropped off the bus, it should have been included. I also feel that we spent a bit too much time in some of these areas and we could have seen a different little town. Just a thought on some of the free time. All in all, it was my first tour, I liked it, but would not use Cosmos, as I like a better quality tour w/ better locations of hotels, quality of the hotels, the food picked at restaurants.
The young tour operator was very good, but at times walked too fast for some in our group (including myself). The optional tour in Lugano was over-priced for the value received (including the food). I booked it since I did not have Swiss Francs and did not want to deal with conversions from Euros. In addition, there would not be too muchf for me to occupy myself there since I am not a shopper--like most of the people on the tour. The last hotel (Milan) was not to my expectations--very small room, no room darkening drapes, overlooked moving traffic (on second floor), a totally non-smoking hotel. The included tours were of good value.
Re. hotel in Lake Garda - too far away from any services, i.e. stores or restaurants. Re. hotel in Stresa - should have a minibar or fridge.
The one negative on the trip was the amount of time the tour director spent on selling optional tours . one fellow tourist commented ' if the options are so great , why not include them '
