Tour Itinerary

Enter a world of color, culture, and cherished spiritual tradition of India and Nepal. Your guided tour of India, Nepal, and Ganges River cruise begins in the Southern India city of Cochin, where you’ll take a cruise on the backwaters of Kerala to witness life along the scenic and serene waterways. Explore Mumbai, home to “Bollywood,” and Varanasi, to watch the Hindu’s devotional bathing in the Ganges. Continue on to the bustling city of Delhi. You’ll tour the city with your expert local guide, and take a rickshaw ride through the Chandni Chowk bazaar—brimming with everything from silver and spices to saris of every color. You’ll visit Qutub Minar—the world’s largest brick minaret, and see Delhi’s largest Sikh gurudwara (house of worship), before traveling to Agra—site of the legendary Taj Mahal. Stop in Murshidabad for an excursion to Azimganj and Jiaganj—to tour a historic mansion and see a gold and silver making demonstration Explore the fascinating Hare Krishna headquarters in Mayapur, and visit Saint Mother Teresa’s former home upon your return to Kolkata. In Kathmandu, sightseeing is spread over two leisurely days. Visits include Hanuman Dhoka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Temple of Kumari, residence of the Living Goddess, a child thought to be the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess. You’ll also journey to Patan and Bouddhanath, Nepal’s largest stupa. Globus will conduct tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start and peace of mind throughout the journey. This includes proof of vaccination for all guests.

BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE

There may be times on tour or on the motorcoach when social distancing is required. We will take care in assuring any local guidelines are followed in a safe and comfortable way for our guests. For any cases where masks are required due to local guidelines, we ask that guests bring their own approved N95 (FFP2) masks for their own comfort and safety. Our wireless listening technology enables safe distances between our guests and other travelers during excursions.

To ensure a healthy environment for each of our guests and our team, our Tour Directors, Local Hosts, and motorcoach drivers are fully vaccinated, and Globus is also requiring that all travelers are fully vaccinated before joining the trips. Additionally, regular guest checks are conducted, and, when required by local guidelines, masks will be worn by our guests and by our team when accompanying guests. In all other cases, masks are optional for guests.

TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDS

Traveling with Globus removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Globus are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN

As a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.

PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH

Globus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Globus was top notch. Our tour guide was exceptional. Everything was on time and we were able to get to many attractions early before the crowds.

This was our seventh trip with Globus and they continue to deliver first class experiences with incredible tour directors.

Autumn Cruse was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was dealing with about 8 women all living in different states and time zones! She deserves a medal and positive recognition from her employer. Good employees are very hard to find and retain these days. I look forward to working with her again.

The interaction and expereience witth Affordable Tours were professional, and met expectations.

We have travelled with GLOBUS consistently since the year 2000. (1-2 trips per year). Superior Tour Directors and Drivers!

There were a couple of changes to the itinerary after booking but they were additions and a change so we were happy with the adjustments in general.

Great trip. Guides were wonderful hotels great please have step stool on bus for passengers who cannot easily manage the large step to get on and off the bus. Wonderful trip

I have a wonderful time in this trip. Thanks to the tour director and staff (driver and tour guides) who make this trip fun and memorable.

I believe the itinerary was fast moving, but not too fast. Each city we had adequate time. I am very pleased.

I have travelled with Globus and Cosmos 11 times. 5 Globus and 6 Cosmos. Nothing but excellent service, pricing and itinerary. Covid protocols were well maintained.

Globus has always been dependable and has gone above and beyond in these difficult pandemic times.

I have booked several Globus/Cosmos tours since 2013 mostly touring the US and Canada and have enjoyed every tour. The tour directors are very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy meeting the other people on the tours and comparing past trip itinerary's and getting some helpful tips as well. I will book with affordorabletours.com in the future.
