If the idea of New England brings images of picture perfect villages, sleepy fishing towns, vast swathes of golden beaches and presidential summer homes into your mind's eye, this trip will not disappoint. Starting in historic Boston you'll visit lovely Cape Cod, bubbly Burlington and sea swept Maine, with each new place transformed under a blanket of vibrant fall foliage.
Arrive BostonWelcome to the affectionately named 'Beantown', America's oldest city. A key player in America's battle for independence and the abolition movement, Boston's historical significance can only be matched with its enthusiasm for sport; baseballs legends the Red Sox hail from here, as do the Celtics basketball team. After settling in to your hotel, you might want to head on down to the Seaport District to discover just how seriously Boston takes its reputation as a seafood capital. Local specialities include 'sacred cod', fresh lobster and creamy chowder, each cooked fresh, steaming and delicious.Accommodation: Doubletree Boston Bayside
Boston – Plymouth – Hyannis (2 Nights)This morning's city tour will follow the path of the Freedom Trail, that winds its way through the city connecting 16 historically significant sites including Old North Church, Quincy Market, State Capitol and Boston Harbour. Leaving Boston behind you'll then travel to 'America's Home Town' of Plymouth, where you'll visit the fascinating Plimoth Plantation. A meticulously recreated version of the original 17th century Plymouth Colony, the plantation tells the story of the first Pilgrim settlers who arrived in Plymouth in 1620, brought to life through costumed interpreters, original recipes and olde worlde language. From here head on to the pretty fishing villages and wealthy towns of Cape Cod, where you'll arrive into Hyannis to spend the evening. Head down to one of the lovely waterfront eateries or take a peek at the Kennedy compound, where JFK and Jackie O spent their summers.Accommodation: Riviera Beach Resort
Cape Cod and Provincetown ExcursionWinding your way through some of the oldest villages in America via Old King's Highway, you'll make your way to the 40 glorious miles that make up the Cape Cod National Seashore, a pristine collection of beaches, sand dunes, salt marshes and nature trails. At the very tip of the Cape sits lively, artsy Provincetown, a place of pilgrimage for writers and artists who have been visiting here for the past century. Boasting a plethora of galleries, craft shops and cute cafes, you can happily wander away an afternoon here. Nature enthusiasts, join our Optional Experience for the chance to hit the waters surrounding Plymouth to try and spot the humpback, minke and pilot whales who migrate here.
Hyannis - ProvidenceCrossing the Cape Cod Canal, travel "off Cape" as we head to Rhode Island. Visit Newport, where you can spend time on the historic waterfront or in the Antiques District. Perhaps visit Newport Casino, the birthplace of tennis in the US. Highlight your visit with our Optional Experiences of The Breakers, a summer "cottage" of the Vanderbilt's or sail on a Schooner. Continue this afternoon to Providence, home of Brown University.Accommodation: The Graduate
Providence - Killington (2 Nights)First, you will be heading to the Bridge of Flowers. The Bridge of Flowers Committee was initiated by the Shelburne Falls Area Women's Club in 1929. It is a 501 c 3 nonprofit and its gardeners and volunteer members work hard to keep the Bridge's many flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and vines growing beautifully throughout the season. Next on your journey, you will visit Saxtons Distillery. Saxton’s produces Sapling Vermont Maple Rye, Maple Bourbon and Maple Liqueur, Perc Coffee Liqueur and Snowdrop Gin. The multiple-award winning Sapling line uses locally-produced maple, Perc Coffee Liqueur features rich organic coffee, and Snowdrop Gin is a uniquely complex gin that is vacuum distilled to preserve and enhance the delicate flavors of the 18 botanicals used in distillation. Snowdrop has experienced tremendous growth since its introduction in 2016. It was recently awarded 93 points and a Top 100 Spirit in the World by Wine Enthusiast in 2017, making it their highest rated gin from New England. The distillery is an independently owned business operating since 2006.Accommodation: Killington Mountain Lodge
Vermont's Green MountainsThis morning we visit the famous resort town of Stowe before you travel past the appropriately named Green Mountains to Vermont's capital city of Montpelier. Visit the Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks for a tasting of the unique "sugar on snow". Before ending today's journey back in Killington, visit the state's capital building.

Hygiene and Safety Protocols for Costsaver Tours
Costsaver has introduced these enhanced hygiene protocols – for you and team members.
Costsaver asks that you please take personal responsibility for your wellbeing. This begins with packing any personal protective equipment and sanitizers you require. Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practises throughout your pre-trip travel arrangements and follow all health instruction whether physical signage, or requests from the professional staff once you are vacationing.Expertly Trained Travel Directors
Travel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of the guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, Costsaver will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of Travel Directors while on your trip. The Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.Stringent On-the-Road Protocols
The customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Costsaver have taken additional measures to elevate hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. The Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All the guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.A Full Team of Support 24/7
It’s not just your Travel Director and Driver who will be taking care of you. Behind the scenes, the operations and guest support teams are in contact with them and on call 24/7, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.Physical Distancing
Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.Trusted Partners, Exceptional Standards
Costsaver is very selective in who they work with and choose to only use hotels, restaurants, ground handlers and venues that take the well-being of the guests as seriously as Costsaver does and agrees to meet expected guidelines and specifications. Costsaver only works with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their high standards.Always in the Know
As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) , Costsaver is kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis and is continually in touch with all of the partners on the ground in each destination. Also, rest assured that during your trip, the teams work to ensure the supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues) are also applying the same standard to these new hygiene and distancing protocols, to the extent possible.
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Hotels were in remote-ish locations. Ability to walk to grocery stores or restaurants were either difficult or non-existent.
We took the fall colors tour via cost saver (Oct 8-17, 2017). The tour was conducted by Trafalgar, in the itinerary, one of the places we were to stay was Hyannis. Massachusetts. This is misleading because our hotel was in Yarmouth, about 6 miles away from Hyannis.
The Trafalgar travel director and the bus driver were the best.
