Great masters left their magic touch on the capitals of Florence, Venice and Rome and your 10-day exploration of Italy will reveal this at every turn. Embrace the energy of Italy's major cities, unwind on the shores of the Italian Lakes and savour the lingering scents of lemons in Sorrento. You'll have time to lose yourself in an ill-fated love story in Verona, pay tribute to St. Francis of Assisi in his hometown and snap a selfie against the backdrop of the world's most famous Leaning Tower.
Arrive Rome (2 Nights)The 'Eternal City' has captivated travellers for centuries and you'll not be disappointed as it prepares you for an exhilarating journey across Italy. On arrival in Rome, check in to your hotel, then get ready for your very own introduction to Rome or relax at your hotel and recover from your journey. Later this evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a glimpse into what lies ahead along your journey. Soak up the city's effervescent atmosphere during an optional sightseeing tour followed by a light dinner of Italian specialties.Accommodation: Ergife Palace
Rome sightseeing and free timeWith so much to see and do, you could explore Rome for an eternity without getting bored. Join an Optional Experience to Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums or start your day the Italian way - slow and relaxed. Get to grips with the city's main attractions, joining a Local Specialist at the Vatican City, the world's smallest country. Stand in St. Peter's Square, sharing your space with devoted pilgrims and pigeons. Visit St. Peter's Basilica and view Michelangelo's greatest work, the sorrowful Pietà. Cross the Tiber next, to view the mighty Colosseum and the countless other ancient sites which featured prominently in the days of the powerful Roman Empire.
Rome – Sorrento – Bay of Naples (1 Night)The Bay of Naples beckons and our first stop is in the picture-perfect resort town of Sorrento. Pastel-hued residences cling impossibly to craggy cliffs that plunge into the deep blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Enjoy your time soaking up the sun-drenched views. You won't need to venture far to catch the scent of the "world's best lemons", which you'll see in abundance at the local markets. Taste some of the mouth-watering fresh produce grown locally or consider an Optional Experience to the artists' paradise of Positano, followed by a scenic drive along the Amalfi coast. The Sirens of Sorrento may be nowhere in sight, but that doesn't mean their alluring call will be possible to resist.Accommodation: La Panoramica
Bay of Naples – Cassino – Assisi (1 Night)Soak up the atmosphere as you explore the beautiful Bay of Naples during your free time this morning. You could choose instead to join an Optional Experience guided walking tour of Pompeii, buried under the volcanic ash for centuries after Mount Vesuvius erupted. Leaving the Bay of Naples behind, journey past Cassino and view the monastery which featured as a backdrop for some of the fiercest battles of World War II. This poignant reminder of war gives way to a place of pilgrimage, as you head north to Assisi where an orientation reveals a medieval town that has changed very little since the time of St. Francis.Accommodation: Frate Sole
Meals: Breakfast Dinner
Assisi – Venice (Oriago) (2 Nights)After a leisurely morning, your journey continues across the Apennines and through the Emilia-Romagna region, credited with being the origin of tortellini, mortadella and parmesan cheese. Before you know it, you'll have arrived in Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, where an Optional Experience will see you gliding through the city canals in a gondola.Accommodation: Il Burchiello
Meals: Breakfast Dinner
Venice orientation and free timeEmbark on a cruise by private launch to bustling St. Mark's Square in the heart of Venice. Admire the most famous of Venice's 417 bridges, the Bridge of Sighs, and enjoy views of the Doge's Palace and the Byzantine Basilica of St. Mark. There's time to explore the labyrinthine lanes of this floating city on your own terms. Later, the extraordinary talents of glassblowers take centre stage during a visit to their glassblowing workshop then consider an Optional Experience to the island of Burano for a relaxing meal with your travel companions.
Venice (Oriago) – Verona – Lake Como – Italian Lakes (Saronno) (1 Night)The plains of Veneto are all that stand between you and Verona, the tragic stage for Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers. View the ancient Roman Arena, where concerts are still held to this day, and Juliet's Balcony, from which a fictional Juliet once called for her Romeo. Indulge in a romantic moment of your own before leaving Verona, bound for Italy's irresistible Lake District. Arriving on the shores of Lake Como, you'll see first-hand why this scenic setting has been a favourite summer retreat of the rich and famous for centuries. You could choose to board an optional cruise this afternoon to make the most of this idyllic setting. Your hotel in Erba is the perfect base from which to enjoy lakeside living at its best and you'll have dinner here this evening with your new friends.Accommodation: Starhotels Grand Milan
Meals: Breakfast Dinner
Italian Lakes (Saronno) – Pisa – Florence (Prato) (1 Night)The white marble façades of Pisa's Square of Miracles gleam in the sunshine, but it is the famous Leaning Tower that gets most of the glory when you visit this 'Meadow of Miracles', so named by 20th-century Italian writer and poet Gabriele d'Annunzio. Since Medieval times, the exquisite structures in the piazza have symbolised man's journey through religious life - the Baptistery representing birth, life represented by the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Camposanto, death. After a short drive from Pisa, you'll arrive to your hotel near Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. A full day of sightseeing lies ahead, so kick back and enjoy the company of your travel companions this evening at an optional dinner in the Tuscan hills.Accommodation: Starhotels Vespucci
Florence sightseeing – Rome (1 Night)There are few cities in the world with an artistic legacy equal to that of Florence. Your Local Specialist shares a superb commentary of the city's artistic and architectural heritage during a walking tour, which includes views of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery, the impressive Giotto's Bell Tower and the Ponte Vecchio. Visit Piazza della Signoria and squeeze in some time for shopping - Florence is particularly renowned for its high-quality leather and 18-carat gold jewellery. Later, return to Rome, where your journey began. You'll have an evening alone to forge final memories with new friends or consider an Optional Experience whisking you away on one last sightseeing trip with a mouth-watering farewell dinner followed by live entertainment.Accommodation: Ergife Palace

Health and Safety Protocols for Costsaver Tours
Costsaver has introduced these enhanced hygiene protocols – for you and team members.
Costsaver asks that you please take personal responsibility for your wellbeing. This begins with packing any personal protective equipment and sanitizers you require. Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practises throughout your pre-trip travel arrangements and follow all health instruction whether physical signage, or requests from the professional staff once you are vacationing.Expertly Trained Travel Directors
Travel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of the guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, Costsaver will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of Travel Directors while on your trip. The Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.Stringent On-the-Road Protocols
The customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Costsaver have taken additional measures to elevate hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. The Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All the guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.A Full Team of Support 24/7
It’s not just your Travel Director and Driver who will be taking care of you. Behind the scenes, the operations and guest support teams are in contact with them and on call 24/7, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.Physical Distancing
Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.Trusted Partners, Exceptional Standards
Costsaver is very selective in who they work with and choose to only use hotels, restaurants, ground handlers and venues that take the well-being of the guests as seriously as Costsaver does and agrees to meet expected guidelines and specifications. Costsaver only works with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their high standards.Always in the Know
As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) , Costsaver is kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis and is continually in touch with all of the partners on the ground in each destination. Also, rest assured that during your trip, the teams work to ensure the supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues) are also applying the same standard to these new hygiene and distancing protocols, to the extent possible.
Question: Is there a single supplement charge?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
I will strongly refer your company to my friends and relatives
Since the hotels were not in the center of the city, the optional tours were needed to fill up the time. But even with the optional events included the total price was much less than the price of many other full event tours. The tour was very well worth the price. Its included all major attractions of Italy, and there was a lot of good food to eat.
Bus trip and information was great. Good leaders and tour participants. Don't like adding on extra excursions
Having not traveled in Italy before this trip I did not know to expect smaller hotel rooms. It would have been nice to know the location of the hotels before booking and well before the week before the trip began.
The Hotel location on the 1st and 2nd day in Rome is far from the city hotel room, bathroom is old.Hotel at Venice is old.
The trip was great and met all our expectation. The trip director was gianmarco and he was extremely good at his job. He made a great trip even better
We reslly enjoyed our tour nice tour director Roselka & safety bus driver Geraldo
We had a great time the hot made sure we did and she always had a smile on her face and was vry positive
Affordable tours and Trafalgar stayed on top of the entire booking and made our trip the most memorable of our life. I went in with very high expectations and a little worried about doing all the booking online. Well it was no worries after was all over and my expectations were surpassed. Hope you have the opportunity to find out the same.
This trip was fantastic! I was lucky to have a great Tour Director and awesome people on the tour. The tour was well planned and was a great value. If you're thinking about booking this trip - do it- you will not regret it !
This tour went above and beyond my expectations. Excellent choice of excursions and included sites.
The tour with Trafalgar was great. We had a terrific guide and a wonderful group of people. It was easy to book and Affordable Tours was very helpful.
Everything is good except for the food provided
We had a great experience booking the tour with Affordable Tours and a wonderful time on the CostSaver Trafalgar tour. Exceeded our expectations!!
Everything we were hoping for and more!
This was an fun tour with an energtic travel guide. The excursions were awesome but be prepared to go, go, go with no down time. The information said there were optional tours; the option was if you don't go on the tour, you stay on the bus or you are dropped off in front of the excursion and you wait for everyone to go on the tour and return to the bus. This tour was one nighters to two nights in an area, so staying behind to shop or relax and enjoy the area was not an option. The language about the tour was misleading. It makes sense now that I have gone through the tour and understand the process, however, it was a bit of a suprise and additional costs that were not accounted for: paying for optional tours if you don't want to sit on the bus or be dropped off outside the excursion.
THE AFFORDABLE TOURS OPERATOR AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. A FEW OF THE 3STAR PROPERTIES WERE INDIVIDUAL OPERATED AND NOT TO MY EXPECTATIONS. TRAFALGAR ALSO DID NOT DO AS GREAT A JOB ACCOMMODATING VEGETARIAN MEALS DURING THEIR PROVIDED DINNERS. OVERALL TOUR WAS GREAT THOUGH AS I ENJOYED ITALY!
