Health and Safety Protocols for Cosmos Tours
Today's world has changed, but what remains certain is Cosmos' commitment to guest safety, comfort and peace-of-mind while traveling with us. To that end, Cosmos has established a worldwide Assurance program, with enhanced on-trip protocols and procedures, to ensure the health – and happiness – of guests throughout their travels with us.
It all starts with Cosmos' Global Health & Safety Team, dedicated to ensuring that cleanliness of all operations exceeds today’s travel standards—from start to finish. The following areas address Cosmos' commitment to providing a safe and clean environment for guests.
A SAFE & WARM WELCOMECosmos will enact new tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start to their journey, including adherence to social distancing requirements.
BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCECosmos will ensure safe distances for guests throughout the journey, on coach and during excursions. This includes providing masks for guests use at any time where social proximity could be an issue as well as the possibility of reducing group sizes, if required. And wireless listening technology – including Cosmos' Go Beyond Devices in Europe – enables safe distances between guests and other travelers on excursions.
FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTHTo ensure a healthy environment for team and guests, Cosmos will conduct regular temperature checks for both guests and team, and when necessary, masks will be worn by Cosmos' team members when with guests.
TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDSTraveling with Cosmos removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Cosmos are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Cosmos will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.
COMMITMENT TO CLEANAs a part of Cosmos' commitment to clean, Cosmos is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.
PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTHCosmos has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Question: What is temperature in the July 12 tour
Question: How do our bags get transported from place to place?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The accommodations wwre sub par and too far away from city centre. Tye food gir the meals included was disgraceful.
Overall the trip was very good. The guide was good but not great. I liked the trains a lot, but my major criticism was that it should have been explained as to the amount of walking. I thought we would take a train to a city each day, leave out stuff and walk around. There were no city tours and you had to carry anything that would not go in a bag with you. So I had my tablet and a few personal items and it was very inconvenient. Lugging around your stuff all day is no fun. The amount of walking - especially from the train stations to the hotels should have been explained. Some people really struggled.
I would book again, but this trip was not explained thoroughly. There was a great deal more walking than anyone expected--walking to the hotels, to the train stations and to most of the tour spots. This went beyond average or even moderate walking. Many of the clients were exhausted by the end of the trip. Also the hotels were substandard. Two of them were not airconditioned and the temperature was in the 909s. I know it doesn't usually get this hot in Switzerland, but a major hotel should have the option of air conditioning if needed by the customer. The trains were great, but sometimes the many changes and walking to get there was just a little too much. This trip needs some adjustments and some clear explanation of what you will be subject to if you sign up for this trip.
We were very surprised that there was no air conditioning in some of the hotels. The last hotel in Zurich was on the flight path for the nearby airport so it was not possible to open windows without deafening noise. With no A/C it made the experience very uncomfortable. On the other hand, the tour itself was exceptional. The itinerary was perfect and it was great to travel by train to these marvelous destinations. The tour director was exceptional.
We had a great time and enjoyed the tour group in addition to all the tour experiences. The tour guide Miheala was particularly expert, warm, and personable.
I knew it was a average/moderate tour, the tour guide was exceptional and the tours were lovely with reasonable priced excursions. The hotels were charming with European charm however, our accommodations compared to others in the group were never at the same level. Our rooms were consistently smaller, never had a balcony or a view like the others did. I did not expect it every time, understanding that repeat travelers have more perks, but I did expect that the better rooms would occasionally be available to us. Our rooms were noisier, no additional amenities like tea pots or fans, and while our views might have something off in the distance at ground level and directly below the windows we regularly had gravel roof tops, major roads, and even a wood trash pile. Breakfast was lovely every day, the dinners included were not acceptable, more like institutional/dormitory food cooked in mass.
wonderful trip. Our guide, Marco, was fantastic.
This trip more than exceeded my expectations. Our tour director was better than any I have ever had. Fantastic experience.
This was a wonderful trip that fulfilled our expectations in terms of scenery and train travel, and exceeded our expectations in terms of personalized tips and expanded excursion options from our tour guide.
