Tour Itinerary
Originally chanted at the toreros during bullfights, “Olé!” is now a term used to congratulate anyone’s exceptional performance in sunny and live-in-the-moment Spain. Prepare for those two happy syllables to roll off your tongue as you discover the past and modern-day feats of everyone from artists and architects to chefs and winemakers throughout this lively tour of Spain. Our most in-depth look at the land of the nonstop fiesta, this 14-day tour leads you from city to city and coast to coast for Picasso and paella, fortresses and flamenco, and Gaudi and the great Rioja wines. Equally satisfying is seeing the legendary backdrops used for some of classic literature’s finest prose—from Granada’s Moorish Alhambra complex to Pamplona’s famous Calle Estafeta, the famous street where the annual “running of the bulls” takes place. Olé!

Additionally, regular guest checks are conducted, and, when required by local guidelines, masks will be worn by our guests and by our team when accompanying guests. In all other cases, masks are optional for guests.

COMMITMENT TO CLEANAs a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.
PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTHGlobus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Question: Do you book airfare also?
Question: Do any of the Spain and Portugal tours include airfare in the quote?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Our tour director Monica was excellent. She made our t our enjoyable and educational, she gave lots of information of the places we visited. She managed the trip very well, she was always ready to help and she took good care of us.
The trip over exceeded our expectations.
My wife and I had a totally enjoyable time on this Globus tour. Our tour director Boris was great - knowledgeable, funny, caring, kept us on track. Our driver Felix was the best. Loved touring the entire country of Spain, plus spending a few hours in Gibraltar. Have no complaints; it was a great tour.
If we had my way, we would change the itinerary to the following: 1. Spend more time (maybe overnight) in San Sebastian, and not in Vitoria. San Sebastian was wonderful! 2. Spend less or no time in Bilbao, especially the Guggenheim Museum. We (and most of the tour attendees) did not care about it that much. 3. Spend more time in Pamplona (maybe 2 nights). Pamplona was great. 4. Much was not seen in Zaragoza. If there is more to see in Zaragoza, then it should be added. Otherwise the stop was not worth it. 5. The visit of the Casa de Pilatos in Sevilla was not worth it. We all would have rather seen The Royal Alcazar of Sevilla . Plus the local tour guide was not that great. I know it may be difficult to make such changes for many reasons (cost, travel distances, etc.), but we think that the itinerary needs to be refreshed. Also, while the hotels were nice, many lacked the basics (properly working Air Conditioning, not enough electrical outlets, etc.) even though they were pretty luxurious. We understand that in general the hotels are not the same as in North America, but they need to focus on getting the basics working, then worry about the luxury stuff. The hotel in Barcelona was the worst. Best were the hotels in Madrid and Costa del Sol (Torremolinos).
This was a great trip
Wonderful trip, saw and did so much. All went so very well and we met some wonderful people. Already thinking of a Greek Tour
The trip was really good. The places we visited were good, hotels good but the tour director didn't tell us much about what we were seeing. He talked a lot about himself and the trips he has taken. Told us a lot of history but we were there to see what was there and he didn't do a good job of relaying that information.
I have been in many tours and this is my first one with Globus. It was excellent. The Tour Director, Monica was simply exceptional. Her knowledge, her concerns for every single passenger, her customer service can only be described with one word...EXCELLENCE. The same can be said for the driver, Leandro. Very professional and always making sure that we felt comfortable during our tour.
Enjoyed the trip, although at times it was a bit too hurried when local guides were used. Will book a more leisurely tour next time.
Everything was excellent for the arrangements and bookings
The dinners included held in the hotels were very mediocre. The 2 held in the restaurants outside of hotels were good.
This was my eighth trip with Globus and all have been excellent. This one was no exception...it was even better than I expected. Tour guide was knowledgeable and fun and everything ran very smoothly.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my experience. Tours were exceptional & tour guides, drivers, hotel staff were all friendly & helpful. Optional excursions were good values too,
Tour Director and Driver were absolutely "top notch". Schedules were precisely maintained, bus was always spotless, baggage was always handled properly and on schedule. Tour Director was well-informed, entertaining, and very helpful in all respects. His expert handling of lodging, meal arrangements, optional trips, and especially air travel confirmations was especially appreciated.
We really enjoyed this trip with Globus. The itinerary, although fast paced, was excellent and the accommodations were also very good. Meals provided were pretty good too. What made the tour so good though was our tour director who was excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour.
I highly recommend this Tour of Spain. It covers everything for this Country.
The overall trip was excellent; the guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel accomodations were superior. However, the hotel in Valencia was not in a superior location(next to bus terminal) and the dinner was mediocre. Most of the hotels provided excellent breakfast buffets but fair dinners. The dinners in restaurants were far superior especially in Barcelona and Torremolinos. The optional trip to Toledo was exhausting without any prior warning for persons having difficulty in walking. Some of the local trips were hurried and elderly had difficulty keeping up.
The tour director was fabulous, well-organized, and very informative. I have traveled extensively on my own, making my own reservations and planning my own trips. That is still my preferred way to travel since I like doing things on my own time and at my own speed, and spending more time in places to visit them more thoroughly than an organized tour allows. I did enjoy the trip and saw many beautiful sights and I carved out as much free time for myself as I could, usually by not doing any of the extra excursions. I think Globus should try to do tours that allow 2 nights at most places and not try to pack too many things into one tour.
This is the third time that I have traveled with Globus. I have been very happy with them. The tour directors have been wonderful. The hotel rooms were very nice and well located.
This tour met our expectations, totally. The hotels were excellent, the tours (both included and optional excursions) were well-planned and directed. For anyone wanting to see "lots" of Spain, this tour fits the bill.
The trip was fantastic! Everything worked on schedule. Hotels were fine, some were better than others, but all were fine with one exception: the hotel in Granada was below par. The excursions were all great and well worth the money. We booked all of them with one exception: the Spanish dinner in Barcelona because others who went were disappointed with the dinner. We booked our own flights and airport transfer. We got direct flights and better deals doing it on our own. The tour director was the best!!!!!
Working with Affordable Tours is a pleasure. They are very professional, courteous and accommodating.
Excellent tour. Fabulous tour director.
The Globus Spanish Fiesta tour was excellent but be prepared for some long drives.
The itinerary was excellent. Some of the hotel meals included were not that good, especially the nH chain.
This was our first tour and were somewhat apprehensive about the whole adventure. Everything far exceeded our expectations. From my first contact with AffordableTours to our actual trip with Globus everything was made easy for us. In 2 short weeks I'm sure we saw almost all of the highlights of Spain. If there was a downside, it would be the tour member who was sick and had to seek medical help. My husband then got sick, and by the end of the trip I was REALLY sick. I've spent the last 9 days down with a horrible case of bronchitis.
I would like more dinners outside of the hotels. I would like all my beds a kingsize. Perhaps better headsets as the tour guides were difficult to understand. Otherwise a very nice rip and we were well attended to.
Globus exceeded our expectations. The tour director and driver were excellent, and local guides used were both fluent in English and very knowledgeable. The accomodations were well-located and clean/ comfortable. Cyd Clifford, the Affordable Tours agent was helpful in directing me to the tour that best met my needs, and was prompt in responding to my questions/ requests.
Great trip. It was my first coach tour, and I left with some trepidation about being in a bus with dozens of strangers for two weeks. Everything was great. Globus does a wonderful job. My only complaint, which I mentioned in the Globus survey, is that the hotels, while top notch in all other ways, didn't have enough soundproofing between the rooms.
This was our third tour and each has exceeded our expectations. We are planning our fourth tour in August 2013 .
Some of the hotels were not as good as expected based on other tours that we have had in the past.
All of the accomodations were okay. The first being the best, then they seemed to go downhill. I find it had to believe they were 4 star hotels. The hot tubs were cold, the fitness centers were not open, the rooms were very small, the views were usually over the rooftops or the air-conditioning units, and the final room in Madrid was a disaster. It was supposed to be a non smoking room - it was a smoking room and it smelled really bad, I went to the front desk to see if I could move my room and they told me it was a non-smoking room and they had no other rooms available. They sent the chambermaid up to "fix it". Joke! The smoke was in the bedding, the carpets, the towels!
I had a great trip - and you certainly helped to make it so!

A couple NH hotels did not offer A/C and bathtubs were very slippery. All other hotels were very nice. All breakfasts were excellent.
