With exceptional health and safety protocols and on-trip contingency plans for unexpected surprises, Globus travelers see more of the world with more peace of mind.
A SAFE & WARM WELCOMEGlobus will conduct tour check-in procedures and pre-trip health screenings to offer guests a safe start and peace of mind throughout the journey. This includes proof of vaccination for all guests.
BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCEThere may be times on tour or on the motorcoach when social distancing is required. We will take care in assuring any local guidelines are followed in a safe and comfortable way for our guests. For any cases where masks are required due to local guidelines, we ask that guests bring their own approved N95 (FFP2) masks for their own comfort and safety. Our wireless listening technology enables safe distances between our guests and other travelers during excursions.
FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTHTo ensure a healthy environment for each of our guests and our team, our Tour Directors, Local Hosts, and motorcoach drivers are fully vaccinated, and Globus is also requiring that all travelers are fully vaccinated before joining the trips. Additionally, regular guest checks are conducted, and, when required by local guidelines, masks will be worn by our guests and by our team when accompanying guests. In all other cases, masks are optional for guests.
TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDSTraveling with Globus removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Globus are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.
COMMITMENT TO CLEANAs a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.
PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTHGlobus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Your agent was most helpful in setting up this tour. She worked to get me the best airfare at a reasonable price. She always returned my calls in a timely manner.
The efficiency of the tour was perfect. Our tour guide, Philippe, and bus driver, got us to very popular tourist destinations right on time, arriving as soon as sites opened so that we exited the bus and walked right into the historic sites immediately. The Paris and Loire Valley tour included a lot of great sites, but we didn't feel rushed getting from one to another. We had lovely meals in unusual locations such as in a cave, at a picturesque fishing village, and a wine tasting of excellent quality wines at less expensive costs per bottle than in the U.S.
Would have liked to have introductions of fellow travelers at the welcome dinner, as was the case in previous Globus tours. Globus seems to have changed this strategy. This was true for both legs of our back to back Globus tours.
The accommodations were great. The made adjustments to the schedule to make that we saw everything on the itinerary.
This trip was everything I dreamed of. I would definitely book with this company again. No complaints at all from this traveler.
Our tour guide Ricardo was the best we have ever had. Matteo was an excellent driver, always knowledgeable about traffic, safe, and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were able to maximum our time and see as much as we could in a week. Very satisfied with our experience.
Working with Alex was great. She handled everything and there were no problems encountered any where during our trip. Would definitely recommend her and, in fact, we did while on the trip. One of the other people on the tour asked who we used and we told them Affordable Tours and that we loved the service and the ease of booking the trip.
Trip details were accurate. The bus had sufficient legroom. The guide was excellent. Hotels not city centered but ok. Breakfast was ok dinner better. The opitional dinner at chateau is a most. Louvre tour is short but good...however doing it at end of tour not best time. If you extend your time in Paris there are lots of museum tours.
We had a wonderful trip. Our first time abroad and couldn't have been better. Pick up at the airport very prompt. We also booked travel at the end back to the airport. Everything was on time and courteous .The first hotel, The Pullman, had technical difficulties on our floor and we had no TV. Their solution was to move us to another room, however this was at 8pm at night. We had informed them three times during that day and there was no feedback.
The tour director we had lacked some enthusiasm and his demeanor was standoffish. I don't believe the guide had visited many of the sites before and seemed lost often. The itinerary was executed in a way that lunch was often not before 1:30 and several times at 2pm. The cider tasting was really bad as an activity rated as a LF. The host poured the cider and then left us to it. No explanation on how, why, etc... The town it was in was really a cute village. We on the tour found it, the guide didn't say it was out the back door of the cider area.
With the exception of some confusion at the end of the tour related to how members of our group who would NOT be touring the Louvre would spend a few hours of unexpected free time, the tour met - and occasionally exceeded - our expectations. More detailed information as to the expected start and end time of optional excursions would be helpful for planning purposes.
The tour director was good- but British. She spoke French and Italian but I personally would have preferred a French guide for a totally French tour (Paris to Paris 7 days). Historically and culturally that would have offered much more to the entire experience for me.
Overall a great tour aided by great weather and a great tour director. Most meals were good and accommodations were quite acceptable.
2 night stay at Chateau Breuil --half of people on tour could not stay in main bldg -this is not good because every one paid the same price and nothing was said in advance that there is not room in main chateau for all no wi-fi on bus! Tour director not always on the ball, example -could have been more helpfull about some details, did not do bus safety dvd till 3rd day!
Generally, I feel this tour spent too little time on the Normandy experience. We arrived at the Normandy museum in Caen at 3:00 and departed at 5:00. It would take at least that amount of time for the exhibit without seeing the films.. At the cemetary we were left to wander on our own and were not informd about the museum. I have been informed that some of the landing sites have had some reconstruction of the German bunkers and that would have been nice to see rather than a stretch of beach with houses built on the battle site.
