No problems with the tour itself. Exceeded expectations.
With this trip the free dinner should be on the last day so people in the tour has a chance to say good bye and also the tour director has his chance to collect his gratituties. Enreque was very helpful and respectful, and very nice.
Have had good experiences with tours booked thru Affordable Tours, they were fine. As for Cosmos Tours we will not use them again. The rooms were fine and we enjoyed Spain and Portugal and the people in their countries. The issue we had was with the Tour Director and driver. Poor communication with the bus passengers lead to problems. Had to walk way too far on many occasions to get back to bus, one time well over a mile from spot we were told to meet to where tour director had detoured the bus to stop to get us. She said a road closure caused us to walk, some of the people were handicapped and were made to travel that long distance, we also had problems making it. We were told bathroom breaks were to be no longer than 1 1/2 to 2 hours, on 3 occasions we had to wait 3 hours on bus to use restroom, some requested to use bus facilties but were refused and had to wait for her to decide to stop. Not acceptable in any case. We had taken advantage of the additional trips, she and the driver were never in place to pick us up after the events. Other tour companies were at the spot to pick up their people while we had to wait 20 minutes or more to be picked up at the assigned spot. Some passengers were allowed to play loud music in the bus without headphones, it was really annoying, we sat behind the 3 people playing the music for 2 days, when we asked the tour director to ask them to turn it down she said that she could not hear it. She was all the way in the front and my wife and I and another couple were the last seats in the back. Nothing was ever done to make them turn it down. People asked for reasonable requests and were ignored. On 2 different provided meals we were forced to pay for water for dinner, which the tour director said was included, when we asked why she said these things happen. Another passenger and my wife and I requested a different time to be taken to the airport and were refused, we had to take a cab witch cost $30 euros . We never complain and usually just take the small issues that come up with travel but all these were more than the 11 previous tours we had taken all together.. We will never used Cosmos and make sure we tell our many friends of our experience not to use them also. I know this sounds harsh but we felt for one time in our travels we would speak up, Affordable Tours were fine and helpful before our trip and it is only Cosmos we have an issue with..Milton and Mae

In Madrid, when we first arrived in the am, we had to wait 6 hrs to get into our room, so we upgraded to a different room so we could get right in. All guides we very good, and the one who did the Madrid City Tour on Fri 3/16 was very nice, but you could not understand his English.
I loved this trip! It was well organized, had some free time for exploration and lot so of scheduled activities that gave me exposure to many facets of Spanish and Portuguese life. Our guides were knowledgeable and professional. The bus was clean and comfortable. The scheduled stops were well thought out, we had enough time to eat and shop before our scheduled leaving times. The only small incident that was not positive involved the last hotel, the Hotel Praga in Spain. The building reeked of cigarette smoke and my travel companion is allergic to it. The hotel staff apologized and sent the cleaning team to our room, but their work did not make a big difference--sleeping with the window open made the room safe for my friend.
The Tour Director was very detailed & organized. We are very satisfied with accommodations & food. We did not encounter any problem from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself during the trip. Our tour director was super responsible in ensuring the entire tour ran smoothly without a hitch. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining in introducing the places of interest.

Our agent was very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and offered valuable tips. The tour guide made a big difference. He was informed, courteous, punctual, humorous, caring and like a good shepherd kept group informed and together at all times. Our guide is well read on the Portuguese and Spanish history and culture. He shared with enthusiasm and one can tell he has a passion for what he does. Tip: On trip to Spain I would include a bull fight as an optional tour.

I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH MY TOUR DIRECTOR. HE DIDN'T PROVIDE US ENOUGH INFORMATION DURING THE TRIP THAT WE TOOK. NOT VERY HELPFUL IN OTHER MATTER ALSO. IN FUTURE IF I EVER TAKE COSMOS TOUR, I WANT MORE EXPERIENCED TOUR DIRECTOR.

The tour director was very professional and pleasant an provided excellent coordination at hotels with rooms, luggage and visits. The consultant was great providing all necessary information.
Pay attention to the name of the trip..ie Jewels which in my case "Jewels of Spain and Portugal" which focused on the very old and historical parts of the 2 countries...okay in the end !!

My husband and I had a very wonderful time together with the rest of the group. Our tour director Vitor who is Portuguese speaks fluent English very knowledgeable patient and kind too I most definite will recommend your company to friends and family Our only comment is the trip to our Lady of F¡tima shrine was too short. This should be given at the very least 2 hours and 15 minutes
