Continue to Koricancha and the Santo Domingo Monastery, and see how the two sites have become one. The Temple of the Sun at Koricancha was once the most important Inca site, dedicated to the worship of the Sun. The walls, altars, and decorations were all said to be covered in gold—until the Spaniards looted the temple and then built the contrasting Baroque Santo Domingo Monastery on top of the temple’s foundations. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a festive farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

LEGENDARY LIVES Built in the 15th Century by the Incas, the Temple of Sacsayhuaman complex is considered to be one of the Inca’s greatest architectural creation. It remains unfathomable how and when this fortress of gigantic stones—with some blocks weighing more than 350 tons—was built. During your guided tour, learn some of the theories on how the massive stones used were carved, carried, and placed.

BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCE

There may be times on tour or on the motorcoach when social distancing is required. We will take care in assuring any local guidelines are followed in a safe and comfortable way for our guests. Globus will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN

As a part of Globus' commitment to clean, Globus is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures.

PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTH

Globus has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

An excellent choice of tour to restart traveling after the long Covid delay!

This was our 3rd tour with Globus and, as with our first 2, they exceeded our expectations.

I enjoyed my tour with Globus very much. The bus was very clean and new and comfortable. The driver was outstanding and our tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable. I loved the itinerary and it was a perfect way to travel. I would use Globus again for a future tour.

Globus Tours was amazing. I plan on using them again.

Globus was top notch. Our tour guide was exceptional. Everything was on time and we were able to get to many attractions early before the crowds.

This was our seventh trip with Globus and they continue to deliver first class experiences with incredible tour directors.

Autumn Cruse was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was dealing with about 8 women all living in different states and time zones! She deserves a medal and positive recognition from her employer. Good employees are very hard to find and retain these days. I look forward to working with her again.

The interaction and expereience witth Affordable Tours were professional, and met expectations.

We have travelled with GLOBUS consistently since the year 2000. (1-2 trips per year). Superior Tour Directors and Drivers!

There were a couple of changes to the itinerary after booking but they were additions and a change so we were happy with the adjustments in general.

Great trip. Guides were wonderful hotels great please have step stool on bus for passengers who cannot easily manage the large step to get on and off the bus. Wonderful trip

I have a wonderful time in this trip. Thanks to the tour director and staff (driver and tour guides) who make this trip fun and memorable.
