In Budapest, Hungary’s lively capital, marvel at the eight bridges spanning the river and enjoy an introduction to the city by a local expert who shows you the must-see sights. Embark on your Avalon Suite Ship® for an amazing view of the landscapes of Bratislava while sailing. Vienna, Austria, offers stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Habsburg Palace, and the Vienna Opera House. In the heart of the Wachau wine region is Dürnstein, a 16th-century town with charming cobblestone streets and the baroque Stiftskirche with its luminous blue façade. In Melk, visit majestic Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe’s largest monasteries, and enjoy a tasting of some of the Wachau Valley’s famous Austrian wines. Take a guided walk through Passau, with its narrow streets and beautiful Patrician houses. Further up the Danube River, you’ll arrive at the medieval walls of Regensburg—the only German city not bombed during WWII. FOCUS ON GUEST AND TEAM MEMBER HEALTHTo ensure a healthy environment for each of our guests and our team, our Tour Directors, Local Hosts, and motorcoach drivers are fully vaccinated, and Globus is also requiring that all travelers are fully vaccinated before joining the trips. Additionally, regular guest checks are conducted, and, when required by local guidelines, masks will be worn by our guests and by our team when accompanying guests. In all other cases, masks are optional for guests.

This was our 3 rd trip with Globus via Affordable tours and have already booked another prior to leaving on the present. Our satisfaction is supreme particularly when is cmes to service by all the staff always ready to serve you and answer any questions we might have with a courteous manner.
Our trip was affected by high water, but the cruise director did an extraordinary job adjusting the itinerary. Although we missed Nuremburg, which was one of the cities we wanted to see most, we had a nice stop in Linz, and the visit to Cesky Komolov was provided for free. I do wish we would have had some input/options so that we could have possibly gotten to Nuremburg, and not spent so much time on busses going back and forth to the ship. Our biggest complaint was with the hotel in Prague. We complained about the AC three times to the desk, but nothing was ever done. We also had problems with the safe, and getting the battery replaced quickly. We had a choice of missing a paid tour, or leaving without desired jewelry, phones, etc. When the safe was finally fixed, we asked about the AC. The technician indicated it was turned off for our room, and turned it on. We finally had AC our last night. We also felt there were less staff on this cruise over the one we had last year with Avalon.
This was a wonderful trip in all respects. The places visited were even better than expected, the crew was great, the fellow passengers interesting and the food was fabulous....
Our first ever River Cruse and City tour was first class. The hotels were 5 star and very comfortable. The River boat. "Poetry" was a real treat. Staff were friendly and pleasant. The food was beyond expectation and plenty of it. We would certainly book through "Affordable Tours" again.
