Health and Safety Protocols for Trafalgar Tours

Trafalgar has introduced these enhanced hygiene protocols – for you and team members.

You can travel with Trafalgar and be assured that their team has put numerous new measures in place to elevate their hygiene standards and protocols. The well-being of guests and team has always been, and always will be, their primary concern.

In this new, fast changing Covid-19 era, Trafalgar is doing all they can to adapt to new requirements and expectations. Here are some important new steps and procedures that they have implemented to enhance hygiene protocols, to comply with physical distancing requirements by relevant government authorities and to give you the peace of mind when you are traveling during these new times.

Expertly Trained Travel Directors

Travel Director training equips them with enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During your trip, they will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of the guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained. Before you travel, Trafalgar will also keep you well informed about new protocols required in these areas, and ask that you cooperate with and heed the advice and direction of Travel Directors while on your trip. The Travel Directors have preventative measures in place to try and ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on trip, they will activate additional protocols.

Stringent On-the-Road Protocols

The customized luxury coaches are sanitised before the start of your trip and have always been kept to very high standards. Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Trafalgar have taken additional measures to elevate hygiene and sanitary practices in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and as required, applicable government regulations. The Driver training provides them with the latest hygiene protocols. They will clean and disinfect all surfaces including handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers on a daily basis. All the guests are asked to follow hygiene practices recommended by the World Health Organisation including the thorough and regular washing of hands and sanitising when required. Hand sanitiser is freely available on board for your use throughout the day. Please bring your own washable face mask and gloves with you, and additional hand sanitiser to make you feel comfortable, as these will be required to be worn in public in some countries. Should an unexpected situation arise, additional face masks, rubber gloves, antiviral sprays and wipes will be available for guest distribution on all trips.

A Full Team of Support 24/7

It’s not just your Travel Director and Driver who will be taking care of you. Behind the scenes, the operations and guest support teams are in contact with them and on call 24/7, so you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.

Physical Distancing

Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. Have peace of mind that all of the experiences, hotels and restaurants you’ll enjoy on your trip have been vetted to ensure they adhere to physical distancing and hygiene guidelines.

Trusted Partners, Exceptional Standards

Trafalgar is very selective in who they work with and choose to only use hotels, restaurants, ground handlers and venues that take the well-being of the guests as seriously as Trafalgar does and agrees to meet expected guidelines and specifications. Trafalgar only works with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their high standards.

Always in the Know

As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC) , Trafalgar is kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis and is continually in touch with all of the partners on the ground in each destination. Also, rest assured that during your trip, the teams work to ensure the supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues) are also applying the same standard to these new hygiene and distancing protocols, to the extent possible.

Trafalgar makes the parks come to life. Be my guest dinner is always a truly memorable experience.

Our trip was great and we got to see all the highlights which were in the proposal. We did have snow but the tour director was still able to work around the snow.

The itinerary was perfect; the right blend of sightseeing on the bus/hiking the trails. Our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful and changed around the schedule based on things like weather/traffic to maximize our experience

Very nice tour---but 52 people on a bus is too many for us. We would have this in mind when looking for future trips.

John and I had a most memorable, exciting, wondrous trip 2 weeks ago guided by a well informed caring and fun tour director Dave. Adrian skillfully drove our bus through many mountain roads putting us all at ease. I would travel with both of them anytime. The trip itself was beyond our expectations. I would recommend it highly to anyone. I would improve 2 things: information right before the trip and Day One. Since this was our first bus tour, I would have appreciated having information on weather and what clothing to bring and what to expect on a bus trip in written form a few weeks before we left.Several of the people bought sweatshirts and warmer clothing as we travelled. We were also told we had a meeting from 3-5 on the first day and then a reception that evening with hor'derves and drinks. We flew in a day early so that we would be at the 3 o'clock meeting. Oly a few of the group were there and all that happened was that Dave gave us a packet of papers and told us when to be on the busi the next morning. All of that could have been sent to us before the trip and we could have flown in that day. We did not go to the evening reception secause we wanted to eat a meal and we realized that no new information would be given. I would have preferred a meeting at 8:00 P.M. to meet our fellow travellers and learn more about them. We never wore name tags which I htink would have helped us a lot in conversation. It took a few days to get to know each other. That all could have happened on the first night. I also think a short movie of the trip highlights could be shown that night to prep us for our incredible adventure. I'd be glad to explain this more if you don't understand what I'm saying! I did have a wonderufl trip!!!! Looking forward to the next one with you. Margie

This was a great trip. The food at a couple of stops was less than good but otherwise it was a fabulous trip.

Maureen, our trip consultant was very helpful & knowledgeable about helping us choose just the right bus trip that we were interested in. We were new to using online services like this.... but we were more than pleased with the ease in booking, updates, use of Affordable Tours web site, as well as the the wonderful experiences & memories we now have

GREAT ITINERARY¦.. SO ENJOYED LEARNING ABOUT OUR COUNTRYS PAST¦. TOUR DIRECTOR A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND MADE SITIING ON THE BUS ENJOYABLE AND INTERESTING - HE KNEW EVERYTHING . WE WERE ON THE GO MOST OF THE DAYS AND EVEN ENJOYED SOME HIDDEN GEMS AND SOME TRAFALGAR TREATS.... WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We have traveled with Trafagar before and were not disappointed with our experience this time. They have everything together for an unforgettable tour.

This is a great trip with 2-night stays in 3 cities. Hotels are great including 2-nights at the Old Faithful Inn.

WE enjoyed the National Parks trip very much. We were pleased with Trafalgar. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and professional in every respect. Our driver was professional and skilled. The motor coach was comfortable and modern. The itinerary of the trip was excellent. We saw incredible sites and took many amazing photos. All in all we were delighted with the trip.

The National Park Tour was amazing. We headed off to a bus tour not knowing what to expect, little did we know, the trip was absolutely amazing. We saw so many things. Thanks to the fabulous travel director, Mary to the best bus driver ever David. This was Dave's first trip with Trafalgar and he did an excellent job in driving the bus. Kept all of us safe. I would definitely do another trip with Trafalgar. Actually I'm starting to plan another and I just got home at 1am this morning.

I can describe our trip in one word WONDERFUL. Our tour guide, Tiffany was FABULOUS. We hated for the tour to end. Kudos to Trafalgar and Tiffany. And last, but not least for James helping us plan our trip with Affordable Tours.

The tour director and driver, Tiffany and Marecio, were just really wonderful and very helpful. Went out of their way to make the trip nice and fun for all. Were helpful and kind when my husband fell ill towards the end of the trip, and we needed to get to a hospital. ( please pass along to Trafalgar our high regard for the two of them.) WiFi never worked at all, but we were very happy to find power charge stations at each seat. Bus seemed either smaller or more crowded than past trips we took, so not as much leg or window view room than we remembered from before.

Great guide and excellent bus driver.

The trip was excellent and we highly recommend it! Our Affordable Tours agent, Lawren, was wonderful! Tour guide with Trafalgar, Tyson was wonderful! Accommodations and food at Old Faithful Inn were our only disappointment. With no other options the Inn doesn't have any competition. It was disappointing that they are not willing to make the small changes to help people get what they deserve.

Our tour director, Mary, was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the area and that really added to our experience. She worked so well with our exceptional bus driver, Nylan, and was always making us laugh. The National Park experience was amazing - we really felt like Trafalgar took us to the highlights of the park and that we didn't "miss" anything.

The Western Frontier Tour of all the National Parks was excellent. Trafalgar did a great job in coordinating all the activities and providing background information on all the National Parks and sites we visited prior to the visit. The bus was comfortable and the Tour Director helped with providing information on each area and site we visited. The people were all friendly and everyone was on time.

Dave was an excellent tour director; very scenic itinerary.

This was one of the best trips I've taken. Loved it! Our tour guide and driver were exceptional. I would definitely travel with Trafalgar again.

I was very pleased with my journey. We had many unique experiences that were unexpected. A very enjoyable time on my journey out West. I saw many new things and enjoyed the handwork of God and creation.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip! However, it was exhausting. Our travel guide did a great job. He was fun and always there for us and he had so much knowledge of the areas that we travelled to. The Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park was a little more rustic than we are used to, but we know that we were in a remote area and that's how things are. We would definitely recommend this tour.

The itinerary was perfect. We saw more than we expected. We will travel with Trafalgar and Affordable Tours again.

Great tour director and driver. The whole trip is worry free and very enjoyable. The nine day trip covered everything I expected and more.

This was our first experience with bus tours, but it will not be our last. The trip provided an excellent cross section of the area, history and people. The guide and driver were excellent and very knowledgeable. The main accommodations and meals were far beyond our expectations. Overall it was an outstanding experience and value.

I and my traveling companion had a wonderful time. There were many extras that were not advertised that will be cherished memories. Took many pictures and met so many nice people. The tour guide was first class, His knowledge and expertise were top notch and made the trip more enjoyable.

Wonderful trip. The tour director was very knowledgeable and made the bus rides enjoyable. The places on the itinerary was spot on. Would certainly would do another tour with this company.

The tour was very good ! I had a very good experience and also learned a lot of old west history
