Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
The bus needed to be more comfortable, not the best bus I have been on. Need to include one visit to a lighthouse, we visited zero.
We were disappointed with our room at the Boston Sheraton, but we realize we should have complained at the hotel The brick wall directly out our window, preventing light in the room, together with the two small lamps. Not fun for seniors. The other hotels were fine. The leisure time wasn't enough to accommodate our interest for a more leisurely trolley ride to the Marble House in Newport, but we did get there. We found time for the JFK Presidential Library in Boston We let Globus know that they could or should make those items available. They included the Breakers on more than one trip we have taken with them.
Tour Guide was a little unorganized when plans were changed due to weather - no whale watching/ landing at different port for Martha's Vineyard due to weather on both accounts - wasn't a backup plan in place.
The tour bus had very limited space as a re-design made more seats which offered limited individual seating/leg room/hand bag space. The older design had 48 seats. The new design has 54 seats. The brochure indicated free time which I misconstrued to believe meant I would make decisions based upon my personal wishes during this time. The free time was still structured time and made for extremely long 12 hour days more or less. There was no indication in the package my tour group would be combined within another tour group which meant double wait times, more cumbersome logistics, etc.
Time management seem to be an issue. We arrived in a town but by the time local restaurants could serve us, there was no time to explore historical sights. A cruise ship had docked and due to the extra crowds, there was a problem seeing anything. Could not see over the headrests in bus so missed most of the sights pointed out as we drove along. Tour director was very nice and tried very hard to please folks. Same for bus driver. One restaurant served fish that could not be eaten by our table of 5. Overall, time management was the biggest issue for me. I am actually disappointed that Globus is the chosen vendor for the Nova Scotia tour.
The tour guide was professional & courteous, however, my husband & I feel that he only did a fair job in what he presented to the tour. He did just enough to "get by" with no extra history, information of the area, very loosely organized as far as where & when to meet. When we went with Globus to Europe our guide was superior.
