Extremely helpful tour director

Way to structered & rigid. No time to relax and rest for a couple of hours in the afternoon. O loved what we saw but it felt like Boot Camp.

Kaas our brilliant tour director made the trip more enjoyable than our wildest expectations!! We would always book w Globus because of Kaas alone, his KNOWLEDGE, patience, sense of HUMOR, everything...he was top notch as was everything else including incredible Jordano our driver!!!

Affordable Tours does it right again. My first escorted tour was to Ireland in 2007 and was blown away by the wonderful hotels, expert tour guides, and the care taken from the moment you stepped off the plane until you were flying home. Now, this European tour was absolutely wonderful. The tour guide orchestrated everything, balancing schedule, historical facts, bonding with tour group, and experiencing the culture. I am speechless. Affordable Tours handled all the booking seemlessly especially when I had to change flights because I moved to Indy area. The website was also easy to navigate and I was always kept informed of updated information regarding flights, payments, and addition excursions.

Wonderful European tour covering Rome, Florence, Venice, Lucerne, Paris and London, covering all important sight seeing places. The tour was well organized and friendly. The hotels and food were wonderful. I will recommend the same tour to my friends.

I am highly satisfied with the trip arrangements Globus did in trip. The tour director made all the difference in making the experience unforgettable. He is such an experienced tour director who was able to expertly guide us in the places we went including adjustment with schedule in such a professional and caring way. He made sure that everybody is taken cared for whether you are joining or not joining extra excursions. From pick up up to send out, he was always making sure everybody is safe and cared for. He even had chocolate Laderach treats for all of us in Switzerland. Our bus driver is such a gentleman and very fatherly, making sure we are safe in boarding on and off the bus. The bus is always clean and smelling good whenever we returned back . He is also such an experienced driver maneuvering such a big beast (bus) in and out of the narrow streets in Rome and wherever we go. We managed to be on time or even earlier in most of our destinations. Such a fine man to be around with. The trip schedules are a bit busy, probably depending on whether how many extra excursions you want to take part of. The Palace of Versailles is a very good replacement for the Louvre considering that it so massive that you cannot enjoy it in such a short time. Guides were also excellent. Especially the one in France and the one who stayed with us the whole day in London. Loved his sense of humor. The highlight for me is the climb to Mt. Pilatus, the extra night tour in Luzern, and the Thames river cruise; that was a relaxing way to spend our last night with the tour family. I will also keep the Rome group picture and the Mt. Pilatus cap as a souvenir of a lifetime. Thank You Globus for making the entire experience unforgettable.

If it\'s your first time to go to Europe, I highly recommend this escorted European tour through Affordable Tours with Globus. My husband and I were very please with our Tour Director, Driver. and Tour Guide in Rome, London and Paris. We were able to see the essential tourist destinations in Rome, Florence, Venice, Lucerne, Paris and London. I just wish we have a little bit more time for leisure. But other than that, this escorted tour is awesome! All of our hotels are nice, clean and beyond our expectation. The staff were very friendly. We'll definitely book our next tour with Affordable Tours.

Globus is a first rate tour company. Have used them multiple times

Completely happy with Globus, the tour, and the package we received.

I enjoyed the trip very much. A couple of items that I think could be improved. 1: I don't think the cruise portion of the trip should be less than 4 days due to the number of stops and excursions - it is just too packed to get that many stops in and not enough time on each excursion. Especially the Santorini stop - it was a four hour stop, but it took almost 3 hours of the 4 to get off the ship and up to Oia - we only had about an hour in Oia.

Overall the trip was quite good, but quite tiring. Globus used local guides in most cities which gave it a different flavor to the local culture. We did see all the local points of interest indicated in our tour package. We stuck to a fairly tight schedule which allowed the trip to proceed as planned. There were a couple of hotel accommodations in Venice and Lucerne which were below par. We stayed two nights in Lucerne; our hotel room was located in a noisy area near the elevators and the hotel lobby. We got only a couple hours of sleep each night as a result. In Paris, we stayed at a lovely and elegant 5-star hotel. Rome, Paris, and London were great stops on the tour. We could have stayed for a week in each location and not run out of things to see and do. The special dinners in Rome, Lucerne, and Paris were memorable events. We made friends with several couples during this trip, something we wouldn't have done on an ocean cruise. Our tour group of 43 was a mix of several 20 somethings and others in the 50+ category. We meshed together as a group pretty well.

We had a terrific experience for our first time touring Europe. The description in the catalog was right on with what we experienced. The cogwheel/cable car in Lucerne was more than we expected. Our tour guide was very professional, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about our stops. The coach driver also was very professional and a great driver.

The tour was great. The local guides were above average-only one in Rome was just average. Our tour director was beyond great-she was AWESOME! Thank you.

Our tour director was the best! She made sure all our needs were taken cared of. She is a walking encyclopedia of facts, history and trivia about the places we visited. Our bus driver was great too! Driving skills kept us safe to arrive at every destination in one piece. Most of the hotel accommodations were great. Breakfast buffet and all included dinners and lunch were superb. It would be great if some of the optional excursions were included in the guided tours.

I honestly could not say enough good things about our tour guide and our driver! Both were a wealth of knowledge and experience and showed great patience with so many different people. They always made sure we had a great experience in each city we visited and went the extra mile to make sure we saw all of the sites. On top of it all, they had such wonderful personalities and helped our group become almost like family. The local guides, especially in Rome, were amazing.

Several of the accommodations were not good. The room in Paris had a very nasty smell. The room in Luzerne was NOT clean.

Our tour operator was superb! She made the trip so enjoyable and was extremely knowledgeable. There was a lot of bus time which she made bearable by her commentary and the fact that we stopped periodically. Would highly recommend this trip. We saw a lot.

We just arrived from our Essential Europe Trip by Globus operator. The experience was incredible. I and My wife could not ask for better travel experience that offer all those attractions that we would like to seen if we would have go by ourselves. The advantage of booking with affordable travel is that you get the best low price offer in the market since I did call multiple travel agent and they all could not able to compete with the price that affordable traveler gave me. Globus was amazing their staff from tour director to bus driver was fantastic. I and My wife are 25 to 35 years of age and the experience that we had traveling with older generation and younger generation 16 to 21 years was nice. If you wants to see all the attractions in Rome, Florence, Venice, Lucerne, Paris, and London that, please do not hesitate to book with Globus Essential Europe this going to be a great experience that you will not going to forget. Things went smoothly and the accommodations were nicer than I expected. I had been told by friends that Europe's 4 star rating was not equivalent to those ratings in the US but I now disagree with that. The accommodations that we received were top notch. I hope that my next trip will be equally as enjoyable.

Everything went great until we hit London. From there things kind of fell apart.

The tour director was wonderful. If I went on another tour I would hope to get her. All the other staff was great also. Those that helped me book the trip was also great. Will use your company again

Accommodations - some of the rooms were much smaller than I expected. Our Globus tour director for Italy, Switzerland and Paris was fantastic - I cannot give him enough praises! 

Globus Tours is awesome!

Only the Ambasciatore Hotel in Venice was sub-par while the others met or exceeded expectations. The Mercure Tour Eiffel in Paris and Grosvenor Victoria hotels in London were spectacular in amenities and location! With the exception of the included breakfasts each morning, which varied in quality and was great and not so great in it's lack of variety, the included meals on tours and excursions were of very low quality. Wish our tour guide would have stayed with us for the entire stay instead of departing in London as he was excellent! Felt a bit disjointed in London with all the different tour guides. Liked the way all ticket fees and baggage gratuities were included and that group reservations allowed us to bypass the lines. Overall a very memorable trip and would not hesitate to book with Affordable Tours & Globus again!

London Globus people were not friendly or very helpful. Did not like the way the last few days were handled in general. We were a group until we got passed off and then were pretty much intermingled with other groups coming and going. Would have been helpful to book excursions from home because Globus let people switch prebooked amount to other excursions if it turned out you didn't want to do it.

Our Tour Director and our Driver were supurb and exceeded our expectations. However, after they left us in London the next 2 days were less than satisfactory. Our evening boat ride was scheduled on the day we arrived and got moved to our last night before leaving causing us to return to the hotel very late and only got 4 hours sleep before leaving the next morning for the airport. Seldom saw the Globus represenative in the hotel and never saw her on the morning we left which caused our trip to the airport to be a bit confusing. Up to the last night we had very good food but the "Taste of London" at the historic pub was terrible and most of it was not edible. I've never complained about my Globus Tours as they have been wonderful. 

I personally think name tags should be provided, and not always the last name, but the first. Our tour had 43 people and trying to remember names became a problem for me and others. My husband got so motion sick that we had to spend the night in Charolette NC in the usa. The coach that took us to the airport went around so many turns he could not keep from getting sick. I understand that the driver had to pick up other people and that is acceptable, slow down. It is also to much information to obsorb in 10 days and that is not your fault, as we picked this trip to see what we wanted to come back and visit. Other wise the trip was good, the hotels were wonderful and all personnel for the trip was helpful, kind and gracious.

This was an easy process. Tickets arrived in plenty of time and there were no glitches whatsoever in the travel experience. We enjoyed the trip immensely!

Globus Tours was excellent,this was our first Europe Tour and I would definitely book again with Globus through Affordable Tours with my next trip. Everything about Essential Europe Tour is excellent and my husband and I had a very good time. It's worth every penny we spent. Our tour director was very knowledgeable and very professional..

Except for the two Hilton hotels, the hotels were great. Loved our tour guide and our bus driver they were the best. Enjoyed the small size of our group ( what a good mix) I have no complaints and would do it again. Thanks for everything, it went smooth as silk.

We had a great time and everything was so wonderful. We did not like the hotel in Venice and the food at that hotel was NOT good. We loved our tour guide and driver with Globus and would request them for our next trip. I had an allergy to garlic and our guide never forget to give that info. to the food stalf. The trip was really awesome, the only thing I've notice was Hotel Delfino was not up to par with my expectation and the coffee served were not really hot. Otherwise i would do it again with Globus. Thank you to our tour guide for protecting us every step of the way, we felt lost without him in London. 

Our tour Director was a joy. She was vigilant about our agenda, and I apprecieated that. Loved her knowledge, and experience. Would want her again.

As for Globus our guide was outstanding. Our tour group was small and very friendly My husband and son were more than pleased with the tour. We highly recommend both companies and now we will be going to Spain. Thank you for such a wonderful trip. The memories will last forever.

very nice tour. would recommmend Globus. Hotels were very nice. bus was comfortable.  

Globus tour director was well organized but a most disagreeable person & seemed unhappy in his job. He was very unfriendly, unhelpful & generally arrogant and pompous. I have been on several Globus tours & wouldn't recommend them if all tour directors were like him. Also bus driver never spoke once the entire trip or helped people on/off the bus - he was most unfriendly. It made the tour much less fun than it could have been.

The tour of Europe was spectacular! To see Italy, Switzerland, France & England was a real joy. Our tour director who works for Globus was absolutely wonderful in explaining all of the history of the countries in a very entertaining way. We could not have had a better tour director. Our bus driver was also very helpful to our group & went out of his way to please our group. On a whole, Globus would definitely get my booking again

Our tour director was so nice and she took care of everybody so carefully. So when we had to continue our tour without her in London, we missed her. Globus people at hotel in London were not so helpful and friendly like her. But we really enjoyed our tour from the beginning to the end and we thank to our agent and our tour director very much.
