This trip was packed with sites! Our tour guide was filled with information. We were on the bus a lot but we were out and about walking so much that our feet hurt. It was a wonderful trip!

Autumn Cruse was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was dealing with about 8 women all living in different states and time zones! She deserves a medal and positive recognition from her employer. Good employees are very hard to find and retain these days. I look forward to working with her again.

The British Sampler was a wonderful experience. The mixture of tour stops provided a wonderful taste of Britain.

Globus "Britain Sampler" included a generous cross-section of England, Wales and Scotland. Selections of sites, places and activities was interesting and culture-representative. Schedules occasionally were a bit cramped, thus rushed and perhaps another day to expand into would have afforded a more leisurely appreciation of the offerings. Hotels ranged from mediocre and cramped to outstanding. Bus was clean, comfortable and expertly handled, resulting in no delays due to traffic mishaps. Tour Guide Damian was personable, good-humored and either knowledgable or expertly passed along the relevant background and history from his cellphone.

Overall everything was good and feeling my expectations eccepting some little disappointments like sleeping in a Hotel basement and an offer of a pre dinner bar glass of wine and no wine included on the free dinner.

This is my first experience with AffordableTours. And our tour guide told us that we were the first South Koreans he have met in his tour groups, and so we've decided to recommend Affordable Tours to our friends who are palnning trips abroad.

Some of the hotels we stayed are below standard, for example the Hilton Metropole London the carpets are dirty and stained, bathtubs with blackened spots, the A/C wasn't cool enough, the fridge wasn't working no ice machines. Some of the hotels are are also away from city center.

We were rushed into Stonehenge and were there to see it, eat, shop and use the bathroom in 45 minutes. That's ridiculous. The Edinburgh Castle was the same way and we were staying in Edinburgh 2 nights. The town where Shakespeare was born was the same way and so was Ann Hathaways House. Very disappointing. We paid for all excursions and had little time for shopping.

The rooms were in some cases smaller than expected leaving little room to maneuver luggage.

We throughly enjoyed our Britain Sampler tour. Our guide Julie Anne was fabulous, knowledgeable and so very nice! The bus driver was great too. We're definitely considering doing another tour of Ireland and Scotland.

I would emphasize that while you get to see many places on this tour, your time at each is very limited. I would also be clear that many hotels will not have air conditioning.

Globus and the tour were wonderful. However 3 out of 4 of our flights were late or canceled which caused our luggage to be lost for 2 days.. I would not use united again. One hotel we used was in Edinburgh. A mercure. It was dirty and noisy Had to change our room because of screamers. Only after 4 calls to administration and a night of no sleep.

WE booked our flight and tour together after checking the final pricing, and affordable tours had better pricing than going straight through globus. We did experience some hiccups during the process of booking our flight however, as there was an incorrect date on there and after reviewing the recording and 2 days of talking with donna and the customer service manager, affordable tours decided to cover the costs of changing the flights and dates. My wife and I really appreciated this and it relieved alot of stress and the tour itself was amazing. The only downside is that on flights we were always the last group to board so sometimes we had to check our carry ons as there was a lack of space. Julie and kevin was an amazing tour guide provided by globus, and we really enjoyed the tour. Price wise it is way better then doing everything yourself, also always ask the hotels for possible room upgrades because sometimes they might give it to you complimentary! Enjoyed the trip and I was glad affordable tours covered the flight switch after the mishap because the fault was on both parties but initially on affordable, and I rate it 5/5 due to the consumer service.

Travel director was very knowledgeable and professonal. Bus driver was exceptional driving in the narrow streets of Europe. The trip was welll organized. Hotels in larger cities tend to be qite small in size but usually centrally located which makes it eay to explore on your own. Breakfast in all English hotels are pratically identical - eggs, /banger sausages/English bacon/mushrooms/juice/pastries......itinerary is quite good but tend to include too many optional excurisions which are quite expensive

Margo, my travel companion, booked the tour. She chose you. It was her idea to do the extensive bus tour of UK. I came along "for the ride." Not being a traveler at all, I can only imagine that it had to be a first class tour from the places we stayed, the area we covered with knowledgeable and courteous and personable guide and driver. The bus was brand new and exceptionally comfy. Perfect in every way. Anyone wanting a tour of this kind could not do better as far as my experience seemed to dictate. My only complaint has nothing to do with Globus but the whole idea of this kind of rigourous working vacation as my personal preference would be to have more time at less places and be more on my own even staying on one trip in one place and thoroughly exploring it with only an occasional professional tour guide.

Our guide Ana was THE best---She always made wherever we were going or whatever we were seeing sound so interesting and exciting , we couldn't wait to experience it ourselves. Her stories on the way made the history of the places we were seeing much more memorable.

The trip was fantastic and well organized. All I had to do was pack my bags and show up!

What a wonderful tour. We enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it to those wishing a taste of Britain.

Some accommodations were poor, one was very small room, could not open suitcase, another hotel we had a handicapped home which we could not change, hotel said Globus booked all the rooms.

Trip not easily to forget it outsmart our greatest expectations. Just loved the trip. The tour guide and driver was exceptional good and friendly the hotels totally superb. Highly recommended for future tourists

This was a great trip for an introduction to Great Britain. It covers a lot in a short time, you'll want to book another trip to see some areas more in depth. The tour director was informative and gracious to the guests.

The Britain Sampler was excellent! It surpassed our expectations in every way.

This is a good tour if you want just a sample of the things to see in the United Kingdom, which is what Mom wanted. It is a fast-paced tour without much walking - much to my chagrin but much to the happiness of most of the people on the tour. I was on it only to accompany my mother. Our Tour Director kept us on track and was very helpful as we went along. He had good information and always knew where the clean restrooms were. The hotels we used were good - best one was the Mercure Fairfield Manor in York. If this is your first trip to the U.K., it is a good starting place, but do not expect to have much time to explore on your own.

Our "Taste of England" trip was just that; we learned and saw a lot.

We found the pace of the trip and most of the sights/stops to be very good. Our driver was excellent, and our guide was very knowledgeable. We had been hoping for a better experience in the Cotswolds - views of the famous thatched-roofed cottages and the quaint villages. All we had was a brief stop where most of the time was taken up with waiting for the restroom. Regarding our accommodations, while we don't expect most hotel rooms in Europe to be the size of their American counterparts, we found the Mercure rooms in both Chester and Edinburgh to be exceptionally small and hot. In the absence of air conditioning, fans would be helpful, but they were not always available. The optional excursion in Edinburgh, the Scottish Evening with Bagpipers and the Ceremony of the Haggis, was a lot of fun.

My one request would be to be able to get into my hotel room on arrival day before normal check in times. I arrived in London at 1:00 PM but was not able to get into my room until 3:00 PM. Globus should make arrangements with the hotels to allow early check in for their customers.

Our guide was the best. Perfect balance of humor and knowledge to make the trip extremely enjoyable. We saw and did more in Great Britain than I thought possible. On the negative, the plane trip was poor. Seats were in middle with people on both sides and next too bathroom. Additionally, 7 hour lay over was too long.

Loved the tour, really saw a lot of Great Britain, and the tour director and driver were awesome!

This is a very busy tour, a lot of ground is covered in a short period of time. With the exception of an overnight in London and Edinburgh there is very little downtime in the other stops. If you like a leisurely pace, this tour is not for you. But if you are time constrained and want to see a lot in a short time this is your trip. Lots of time on the bus between stops.

We were disappointed in ours rooms. They gave us twin beds some rooms too small no hot water another had a mold/mildew problem servers at dinner one evening. Previous experience with CIE tours better rooms.

The trip operator, GLOBUS, took care of everything for us. We felt very pampered. There was a nice combination of guided tours and free time for exploring.

My wife and I both enjoyed the trip. The itinerary, tour guide, hotel accommodations were all very good. The tour was well organized and ran smoothly. We enjoyed the company of our fellow travelers.

GREAT TRIP THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING A+

The Tour is a highlite tour so time at each stop is very limited. You experience everything you want to know about most of the UK. Just the highlites with a lot of windshield time. Our tour guide explained everything we passed along the way.

There was one particular instance when we were disappointed with Globus. We were asked to be at the Globus "desk" at a prescribed time for a tour. When we got there, at the appointed time, no one was at desk so we waited a few minutes. The Host came into the lobby from escorting other tour members to the coach, and in essence "chewed us out for being late." She didn't say we were lying; she just worded it to say the same thing. She was not completely "professional" at this moment. Fortunately she arranged to put us on another tour which was extremely good and had a most interesting guide. It was unfortunate, but we refused to let it ruin our day, or any part of our tour experience. Additionally: our tour guide, was well versed in the history of England and did a wonderful job of describing sights. He added many little stories of places we passed and made all of it most enjoyable. He did lack a bit in giving definitive directions when he left us to visit places by ourselves. There were times we could not see him when he was pointing out directions. But, all in all, I would definitely appreciate having him for a guide any time. We were disappointed in the Mercure hotels. There are many plumbing problems in these hotels, and some were described by hotel staff as "just being in a really old building." Our night out to dinner and a play was disastrous. The play was cancelled about half-way through so we didn't get to see the complete performance. Our schedule for the coach to pick us up was about the time it was announced the play would be cancelled.

Very pleased with the people and guides. Great tour!

The hotel rooms could have been a bit nicer. They were ok but extremely small and the toilets in one hotel didn't flush well.

The bus driver and the tour director were great. All of my fellow travelers, except one, were delightful. My daughter and I call this trip our adventure. Thanks so much

We did not see everything that was on the itinerary. We were supposed to see Piccadilly Square and Westminster Abby. Overall it was a good trip. The travel guide was knowledgable and great.

This was our first tour with Globus and we were very satisfied with almost every aspect of the trip. Their staff is very professional and helpful and we will definitely book another vacation with this company.

The accommodations were well chosen and well located, with good amenities and excellent food.

We had a great time, found the tour director to be very knowledgable and helpful. My only issue was in the price of excursions of Globus. I will not participate in their "excursions" again as the price charged did not match with the value of the experience. I could have gone on my own at a very reduced rate...

This is the second Globus tour I have taken. The service from both Affordable Tours and Globus is outstanding. I would most like to commend the Globus Tour Operators who are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, humorous and polite. On both tours, we had 40+ people in our group and there were no problems with anyone.

Throughly enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable which added to my enjoyement of the tour. I was using a cane and both he and the bus driver were always there to help me.
