Question: What is the single supplement on Northern Italy's Highlights & Cinque Terre 2023
Question: Can we get to see the Shroud of Turin?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
This was our seventh trip with Globus and they continue to deliver first class experiences with incredible tour directors.
We have used Aga for years and our trips booked with her never disappointed. She has been wonderful and extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable, always reachable and very conscientious. a Terrific lady.
Milan Hotel was very small 44 people was too large Tour director was knowledgeable and supportive Most optional tours were big meals Cultural events like a concert might have been included
Northern Italy was amazing...
A super tour. Well organized and guided. Coach and driver were top-drawer. A couple of the hotel rooms were very small, but that's Europe. You really need to take the optional excursions, or most of them to get the benefit of the trip, and by the time you do that the cost is well above the advertised cost, but not our first rodeo; we knew that going in. All in all, good value for the money. One thing we did not anticipate was how many things were closed because so many Italians take August off. We have never been disappointed by Globus. In their literature, some of the descriptions are so terse that you don't have a clear idea of what is going to happen. Sometimes that makes for pleasant surprises. Sometimes not.
The only big issue is that taxis in Italy DO NOT accept credit cards and we came without cash. We specifically asked about this. We had a very rough start to the vacation.
I found that while the hotels which were booked by Globus were very nice but they were outside the cities requiring that we take cabs to the city. For instance the hotel in Lucca was a good 2 miles outside the city requiring an expense of 30E combined for cab fare for just 2 trips. In Rappallo a minny bus was available if we traveled during the times it operated. The Milan hotel was very nice but again so far out of the area we came to see. I am a woman who was prepare to walk 2 miles with ease. Also i (as others) understood from the write up that we your go into the Duomo in Milan. No, we stood in front of the Duomo at 8:15 am after passing through the Galleria to see the Duomo. There was no line at that time to enter. We were told the Duomo is the most important site to see in Milan. the write up said we would view the Duomo. I paid extra because i did not want to go to the Paris or London airports ... others found that they were booked on inconvenient transfers. I realize this s a way to cut cost ... but this is not for my travel needs.
Optional tours offered by Globus attracted few takers. Therefore, played a minor role in overall satisfaction. Popularity probably reflected perceived value of fellow travelers. High point was quality of accomadations
It was fantastic
Very professional staff. Very clean motorcoach. The itinerary planned daily events were always on time. Alessandro was a great guide and always had time to help with personal issues or questions. The headsets for the group excursions did not work properly. As a point of reference, we took three additional group excursions with companies not associated with Globus after our Northern Italy Globus tours. Most members of our Globus tour group shared the same feelings. All headsets for all three companies worked fine. Also, the Globus side excursion to Genoa. It seem like an afternoon wasted, with not much of interest.
One of my favorites
The fact that the weather was perfect only enhanced a wonderful itinerary. We had a great group of fellow travelers, many meals away from hotels/at restaurants and other venues. Nothing but good things to say about this trip.
Amazing trip. Great tour director!
Our tour director was one of the best we have had in all of our trips. Great part of Italy to visit.
The tour guide was very good and very caring, informative and helpful. Nice, clean hotels that were well-situated in most cases.
Affordable Tours was very pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient to work with. I was able to find a roommate long after my original booking. My travel consultant added her on and made all price adjustments easily. We were very happy with the tour!
Loved the trip.. Globus is always right on with hotels, meals and guides.. Our guide, was great.. The driver was great as well
The tour guide, was a pleasure to be with on this trip. He was always available, had a positive attitude and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The Hotels were very clean and the staff very friendly. The driver was very skilled and I felt completely safe while on the bus.
Everything was great... Location and rooms in hotels at all stops were well chosen, bus was roomy and comfy, tour director and bus driver friendly, knowledgeable and always there to help and give suggestions when needed.
The guide and bus driver were the best. Many of the experiences were well planned and executed.
The only unfortunate experience was the free time to walk around the local area was always during the lunch time 1:30-3:30pm when all the shops close. The only thing we could do is window shop and eat. Suggest accommodating this issue with flexible timing. Also, two of the hotels did not have A/C which was a problem for many participates. Also, the Cinque Terre could have had a walking tour instead leaving folks on their own the entire time and the shops were closed during lunch time.
Affordabletour agents are real amazing and we really enjoy working with them. The trip was absolutely amazing.
The trip was everything in the description and more. I highly recommend it as it was relaxing as well as informative and we saw alot of interesting places but had enough time for rest and free time in between. thank you for the experience!
