Questions & Answers

Question: How many seats on the bus, what is the seating configuration?

Globus tour coaches can seat 51 guests but usually travel with an average guest count of 38 to 44. Seating arrangements are on a daily rotation and assigned by the tour director.

Question: We are staying three days in Boston prior to the scheduled tour. Can we transfer our luggage from our hotel to the Sheraton Boston Hotel earlier in the day of Oct. 2?

Unfortunately in this scenario you'll be responsible for your own transfers and luggage.

Question: The carry-on bag size from my previous question is smaller than most women's purses. Is the answer correct?

Yes the carry-on size for a motor coach is much smaller than a standard carry-on allowed on a plane. This is because they have no overhead bin and the storage space underneath the motor coach is limited.

Question: What are the size limitations for the carry on bag on the motor coach?

Due to limited coach capacity, your bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x21"x11" (62" linear dimensions) or weight exceeding 50 lbs. Carry-on bags should not exceed the dimensions of 12"x11"x6"

Question: What time is most optimal to see fall foliage in Acadia?

The best part about the Classic Fall Foliage tour with Globus is that all of the dates between September and October are fantastic times to see the fall foliage.

Question: How much walking will there be on the tour? Would the walking be classified as easy, moderate or difficult?

This tour could be classified as moderately paced. There will be walking through country landscapes like Acadia National Park and a dairy farm, but nothing too difficult or strenuous. Plan on walking for at least 2 hours on some days.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

Each person is allowed one "check-in," and one "carry-on." Remember to take all valuables with you as "carry-on", because electronic equipment, cameras, laptops, jewelry, business documents and money are not covered by the airlines' liability, so always carry them aboard with you.

Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?

Airfare from your point of origin to and from the trip is not included in the land price.

I have booked several Globus/Cosmos tours since 2013 mostly touring the US and Canada and have enjoyed every tour. The tour directors are very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy meeting the other people on the tours and comparing past trip itinerary's and getting some helpful tips as well. I will book with affordorabletours.com in the future.

Two hotel/motels were not satisfactory. The bus was not satisfactory. The breakfasts were okay but so inferior compared to all four European trips we've taken (So, another unsatisfactory). For a eight day trip, at least two Dinners should offer more wine

Our Globus tour guide, Jackie, was the best - very organized and helpful

The tour was kind of rush, most of the time we have to leave the hotel at 8:00am, and we didn't have enough time to enjoy the environment e.g. Killington Grand Resort Hotel.

This was a great trip. Our guide was excellent. Our driver was super. We saw many beautiful fall colors along with visiting many interesting places.

Excellent tour. The tour guide is very knowleadgable and personable. The driver is excellent.

Loved the trip...the restaurants were good...the lodging was good, but not great. A couple were showing their age. I asked for one queen bed but had two doubles for most of the trip.

We were fortunate to have a vacation full of glorious weather and we learned during our tour that each year the news/weather stations provide TV updates on the status of peak fall foliage color. We picked the best timeframe; by chance, and were in the peak of beautiful foliage. The added bonuses to this trip for us was the amazing historic architecture and we loved looking as far as the eye could see and seeing many beautiful historic church steeples. The food in New England is wonderful. The weather was great. We met many new people and created some special friendships along the way. The tour director and bus driver did an outstanding job of explaining locations and historic significance; and provided excellent and comfortable transportation. He was great!

The accommodations were especially nice.

I just wish that you would pay your tour director and driver more so that we are not expected to tip so highly. Most of the people who take bus trips are not wealthy and for a couple to come up with a minimum of $200 is difficult especially since the tour cost over $4000 with air fare. The director and the driver are worth a lot because they are so fantastic at what they do.

This was a great trip with a wonderful guide and bus driver. We saw some great fall colors although we were about a week ahead of the peak color.

Great tour director and bus driver. hotels were excellent

Enjoyed the services very much. Thanks.

Loved the NE Fall Foliage Tour, even though the colors were a bit muted this year due to the weather. Our tour director was knowledgeable and organized and our coach driver was helpful and courteous. This trip offered many stops along the drive through all five NE states to take in scenic views and interesting pieces of NE culture.

We had a lovely trip to new England for the fall foliage.
