Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
"A great experience", that's how I define this trip. I knew that the experience would be different, especially the part of the trip to Morocco, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is very professional, patient and supportive in all aspects of the trip. The places and landscapes that we visit are dreamlike. Overall a great trip.
The Globus Spain, Portugal, Morocco trip was terrific. We were able to many wonderful sites and do many excursions that were insightful and enjoyable. I expected long driving distances in Morocco as this seems like the only way to see the major cities, which are located far apart. Having wi-fi in the bus certainly helped with the long driving times.
It would be nice to have had an extra night added to the otis in the Sahara desert! But still an excellent tour with an excellent tour guide!
The tour director, the local guides, the drivers were wonderful. They are very professional and courteous, and well informed! Globus has done well in selectingtheir staff!!!
Tour director was great as well as the drivers. Some of the hotels were not that great as far as services provided. It was less friendly for vegetarians as there were very few choices.
Trena at Affordable was very helpful and I will not hesitate to book another trip with her.
We had an experience with one hotel in Sevilla, Spain that was less than desirable. I will be contacting Globus corporate re this issue. Otherwise the trip was very good. Very experienced guides an drivers, and accommodations were nice.
The trip was fantastic and Globus does it like a pro every time, all heavy lifting is taking care of by them and not you. I am certain that some of the people in the group will make some negative comments on the accommodations provided in Morocco but note that it was evident that they expected American standards when traveling abroad. If anything most off the travel companions were very narrow minded and behaved poorly when encountering the local support staff. The support staff we encountered in Morocco were professional, accommodating and extremely friendly, they went above and beyond to make every stay memorable. I know that neither Globus nor affordable tours can pick their customers but consider the source when you get negative reviews on this trip. My one reservation was not the trip it was several of the customers in the group who lacked the basic travel etiquette and expected to be "served" because they paid for the trip and would not even consider to tip any service staff regardless of good or bad service, bottom line they were just cheap and reinforced the "ugly American" tourist perception. By the way, why wear flip flops to the desert and then complain that "there is sand on the desert"? Globus was great as usual and the trip was fantastic!
Need to provide more for options in the menu for vegetarians. There was only one option in the main course all the time which is not great while the non vegetarians had two or three options. The restaurant chefs need to be requested for it.
Accommodations were not consistent: some were four stars but others were a stretch
We have used Affordable Tours over the last 10 years to book our Globus Tours. I believe it has been 4 tour bookings with 4 of AT agents. With no exception the service has been outstanding. Vivian was exceptional in efficiency and followup. Working with Affordable Tours over the years has been a pleasure.
Globus has consistently delivered great tours that help you enjoy your time abroad without the hassle of doing all the arrangements yourself. Hotels were all high standard and close to attractions. Just remember, this is a tour, not a vacation! You see a lot in a short period of time, so don't expect to have a lot of free time.
I especially enjoyed the Morocco portion of the itinerary. Be aware, however, that you have to handle your own luggage for the ferry crossings between Spain and Morocco.
Our tour director was fantastic! We received several additional things along the way that we knew nothing about ahead of time. Went to Italy on a Your Man Tours 4 years ago and what a disappointment that was. Very unprofessional tour guide! What a difference with Globus! I would definitely go with Globus again and have already told this to many other people!
This is our second Globus tour and it was even better then our first tour, which was great. Looking forwarding to another Globus tour........
Globus lived up to my expectations. They made excellent arrangements for the tour director, national tour guide (for Morocco) and several local tour guides - all very good or excellent. The hotels were centrally located and upscale (although lack of a tissue box, slow drains, lack of an exhaust fan in bathroom and not-wide-enough retaining shield for the shower seems to be hallmarks of European bathrooms). One or two optional excursions were so-so (for example, Arabian Nights entertainment in Fez, Morocco is cheap and has no class - please discontinue).
tour, hotels, guide, were excellent. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT: gibratar which I anticipated would be a highlight was rushed and inadequate especially as it was follwed by a wasted free day in Torrmelinos. Going from Morocco directly to Torrmelinos and doing Gibraltar the next day would have allowed the time to really see Gibraltar.
This was a superb tour and I am recommending it and Affordable Tours to friends.
