You'll start and end your tour in Anchorage and also have overnights in Denali National Park and Valdez. In between destinations, you'll have the opportunity to witness scenery unlike anywhere else, with untamed wilderness and exciting wildlife sightings. A tour highlight is your cruise across the striking Prince William Sound. Witness the three-mile face of the Mears Glacier as you keep your eyes open for marine wildlife, such as otters, seals, and whales, all while you admire stunning glaciers. Another tour highlight is your journey to Talkeetna, a quaint town exemplifying small-town Alaska, from Anchorage aboard the Alaska Railroad. On this train trip, you’ll travel through gorgeous wilderness and understand Alaska’s allure. Two nights in Denali National Park gives you the opportunity to explore this amazing park, home to six million acres and North America's highest peak (20,310-foot Denali). Perhaps go for a hike or participate in an optional outing, such as a wilderness tour to seek out grizzly bear, moose, caribou, and more. But that’s not all…on this Alaska vacation, you’ll witness stunning views as you travel over the top of Thompson Pass, where you’ll admire unforgettable scenery, and into Alaska’s interior across the Denali Highway. The Denali Highway is a seldom-traveled road through true wilderness with frequent wildlife sightings. With magnificent scenery, opportunities to witness wildlife in its natural environment, and awe-inspiring experiences, this Alaska tour is a once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

BLENDING CULTURAL PROXIMITY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCEThere may be times on tour or on the motorcoach when social distancing is required. We will take care in assuring any local guidelines are followed in a safe and comfortable way for our guests. For any cases where masks are required due to local guidelines, we ask that guests bring their own approved N95 (FFP2) masks for their own comfort and safety. Our wireless listening technology enables safe distances between our guests and other travelers during excursions.

In all other cases, masks are optional for guests.
TOUCHING HEARTS, NOT HANDSTraveling with Cosmos removes many of the “touch points” of travel, including luggage handling, check in/out, expedited entry into attractions and more. Cosmos are further reducing risk with hands-free service, meaning all self-services replaced by staff, including buffet meals replaced with table service. Cosmos will also ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on coach and in hotels.
COMMITMENT TO CLEANAs a part of Cosmos' commitment to clean, Cosmos is requiring enhanced cleaning procedures with hotel partners, on motorcoaches, vehicles and throughout every trip, including additional daily disinfecting procedures that go above-and-beyond already strict health and safety procedures. And our motorcoaches are equipped with air filters that clean the air as well as provide constant ventilation.
PARTNERS IN DISCOVERY AND IN HEALTHCosmos has strict health and safety protocols, which have been in place for years, focused on ensuring all aspects of operation- from vehicles and equipment used on trip to excursions and hotel procedures. This process will continue with new, elevated health and safety checks, to maintain their promise that each touch-point on tours and cruises are considered in their commitment to guest and team member well-being.

Grand Alaskan Adventure lived up to the billing and more! Wonderful sights (of course)! Traveling by train, bus, and boat enabled us to experience Alaska from many angles. Tour guide and driver were exceptional. Great value!!! Went to places where we were the only tour bus around, which enhanced our Alaska experience. Very pleased!!!
The grand adventure Alaska tour was majestic. The staff were an absolute delight and the tour was well paced to allow one to see and feel the essence of Alaska. Special shout out to the tours commitment to contract with indigenous and locally owned businesses.
Most of the hotels were reasonably comfortable, except the one in Valdez. Tour guide and drivers were courteous and efficient. Pace of trip was good.
Our trip was even better then we expected. Our Tour Guide Alex was amazing. We strongly recommend this company and this vacation. We were able to do so much more then we would of if we had not went through this company. We learned so much about Alaska and were just able to do and see a lot.We saw every type of animal and some really up close. We went by motor coach, boat, train, and even took a helicopter and landed on a glacier and drank it's water. We had all or as little free time as we wanted and saw so much. It was so nice to have someone else do the planning and scheduling where all we had to do was enjoy. It was great. Alex handled everything for us even down to little reminder notes on our door.We hope to do another trip with them in the near future. 5 star all the way
The hotel they use in Valdez was below standard. I would not put my family there by choice. There was mold in the bathroom. The rooms smelled musty. All the other accommodations were fine. There were other hotels in Valdez of which could have been used (Best Western). This was the general opinion of the other travelers.
Yulanda was very helpful and provided clear, excellent information to me and went beyond with some recommendations of places to add as she was very familiar with Alaska and this trip,

The motor coach, train travel and cruise were amazing. Our group had the glass domed car and so the sightseeing was spectacular. Also, our group had the cruise boat exclusively to ourselves and so there was no fighting for a space to get a good close look at the glacier when we came to it. It was truly a wonderful adventure. The accommodations were great, all hotels perfectly situated
