Dublin City Tour | Guinness Storehouse | Welcome DrinkYour tour departs at 2:00 PM from your hotel. Set out with a local guide to see Dublin’s many landmarks: the River Liffey, Georgian squares, St Stephen’s Green, and Trinity College. Next, visit the Guinness Storehouse, a spectacular seven-story structure exploring the history and making of Ireland’s most famous brew, and savor a pint in the top-floor Gravity Bar, with its panoramic view of the city. In the evening, meet your group for a welcome drink, and then you are free to explore Dublin’s restaurants and nightlife.

Dublin Independent SightseeingTake a panoramic tour of Dublin with your tour director in the morning, then you are free for the rest of the day. You might choose to check out the free National Museums to explore Ireland’s heritage, browse the bookshops, visit some art galleries, or shop along Grafton Street. Perhaps stop into a pub to enjoy refreshments and chat with the locals. (B)

Sean’s Bar | Cliffs of Moher | Medieval Castle BanquetHead to Athlone for a visit to Sean’s Bar – dating back to 900 AD, it’s officially the oldest pub in Europe, and possibly the world! Travel westward toward the Atlantic coast to visit the Cliffs of Moher, towering sea cliffs that soar 700 feet above the Atlantic. Proceed on to historic Waterford – Ireland’s oldest city. First settled by Vikings, Waterford reached peak prosperity in the 18th century, when it enjoyed a brisk trade with Newfoundland. Kilkenny | The Merry PloughboyYou’ll have free time to explore Kilkenny, a bustling little city dating back to the Middle Ages. We had a wonderful trip. We were very pleased with the itinerary and the quality of hotels provided through CIE. We would recommend CIE again.

We had a lovely tour throughout Ireland. The service and accommodation exceeded my expectations! We were fortunate to have good weather. Ireland is very beautiful and the people are gracious to all tourist!
CIE is a solid company who provide friendly, strong tours. Affordable Tours was a excellent company to book through. Having both companies working together to support us outside the tour then during the tour was helpful. We had a very bad situation happen at one of the hotels when the hotel baggage people misplaced our luggage into an empty room thus we did not get our luggage. The CIE director had the hotel staff search every room until the misplaced luggage was found. This piece of luggage had all my wife's clothes and very valuable things locked in it. If not for the tour director this in issue could have been quite miserable for us. The hotel was not taking us seriously until she stepped in and resolved the problem. She was a strong tour director which helped the tour run smoothly.
Good starter tour for someone new to the UK. Use of a Hop on Off in London let's people see more of what interests them. Dinner at the hotel in Bath was excellent.
The trip was wonderful. This is our second CIE tour and totally enjoyed both and highly recommend.

I expected more hands on guidance in the choice of pubs, more going as a group. However I liked very much our driver/guide, Matt Nolan. His manner was very pleasant, his introductions to the areas we visited and history talks were just enough, and he was skilled driver on the narrow roads. Time on the bus was calm and quiet which seemed to suit us. He managed all the travel details professionally.
