Questions & Answers

Question: do any of your quotes include airfare?

Airfare is only included upon request, as pricing and availability are subject to departure date, as well as departing air city. Please submit an online quote request, including air, for your preferred date, and one of our agents will email you the information.

Question: I have very restrictive dietary needs. Could you tell me whether all meals on the ship are sit down or is there a buffet option?

The cruise potion of your trip will take place on Holland America’s MS Zaandam. Holland America offers a wide range of delicious onboard dining options. While they do have a buffet, they also offer a handful of specialty, made to order, dining restaurants (which might be at an additional cost). Please let your travel consultant know of your specific dietary requests before booking and so they can make sure you can be accommodated.

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

Each person is allowed one "check-in," and one "carry-on." Remember to take all valuables with you as "carry-on", because electronic equipment, cameras, laptops, jewelry, business documents and money are not covered by the airlines' liability, so always carry them aboard with you.

Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?

Airfare from your point of origin to and from the trip is not included in the land price.

This is our 2nd tour with Globus and the trip went very well. Very nice hotels.

Since this Globus trip included a cruise, I was disappointed and frustrated with the difficulty that I and others incurred in finding a Cruise booking number from Holland America so that excursions and other information could be found. Since this was a Globus trip, it seems a part of Globus' responsibility.

I would have skipped the land tour. We "drove by" many interesting places and our guide said when we return those would be good places to visit. There were several people from one particular state and the guide catered to them the entire trip. She was not friendly to the rest of us. Never spoke when getting on or off the bus. Probably never knew my name.

The resort on the last night of the land portion of this trip was not conducive for older travelers. Climbing the narrow stairs with carry on luggage was difficult for a healthy person. Additionally, individuals on the top floor had to be careful hitting the dormer ceilings.

I enjoyed all of the locations we stayed at. My only suggestion would be: the Basin Harbor Resort is a lovely place, but for elderly people the lack of elevators is a drawback. The steep stairs are a killer. Otherwise the service there was wonderful!

Accommodations were good except for Basin Harbor Club. Facilities are old, creaky, smelly, unsafe stairways and outdoors smelled like a barnyard. We were supposed to have 2 beds and the room had one. With the help of the tour guide we got a different room in a newer building.

The Globus Tour was good as well as their tour guide; the Holland American Line was good except I think they could delete the Sydney, Canada spot. Nothing going on there, would prefer and addt'l day in either Quebec City, Halifax or Bar Harbor (although our ship didn't make this stop because of weather).

Beautiful scenery! Sometimes, though, the tour director would miss pointing out things until we were past them.
