Operator has no clout at hotels. Hotels wanted to charge room taxes when the operator already paid. One local guide was a disaster. Operators material was in conflict with concierges instructions.

Hotels are beautiful, food very good and services, excellent, for the most part. Our overall concierge was a gem (Alejandro,) as were our local guides, (especially Marissa and Roberto) except for one who was not good at all. We would have enjoyed Santiago and Valparaiso even more than we did, if the guide had shared more information with us and paid more attention to details. Issues were minor, but when they add up, they become more bothersome. For example, not telling us to prepare for cool weather, switching the itinerary, and rushing through sights led to frustration for most of us. However, in beautiful Buenos Aires, magnificent Iguassu Falls and vibrant Rio, the guides and sights exceeded expectations. In the most regal of opera houses and in a low income favela, we saw and learned so much. Loved the center of the cities, as well as the surrounding areas - a winery in Chile, La Boca and a ranch in Argentina etc. etc. Felt that we were sometimes rushed, but, overall, a very good tour.
