    Questions & Answers

Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?

Each person is allowed one "check-in," and one "carry-on." Remember to take all valuables with you as "carry-on", because electronic equipment, cameras, laptops, jewelry, business documents and money are not covered by the airlines' liability, so always carry them aboard with you.

Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?

Airfare from your point of origin to and from the trip is not included in the land price.

Hotel locations were appropriate but room sizes were small for two guests in room. Bus rides were long and recommend not more than 4hrs per day. Meals were all pasta and no selection and no substitutions offered. Very simple fixed menu. We enjoyed the trip and going to use gate1 in the future.

Mihaela, our Tour Manager is the best so far among the other Gate 1 taken. All the hotels are satisfactory with nice and friendly staff. The Grand Europa Hotel in Lucerne, bathroom toiletries were inadequate, no attempt to fix our room telephone (no dial tone) during our 2 night stay and no air conditioner in the guest rooms, explained standard as part of hotel operations. Fairmont Grand Hotel in Geneva is very nice, the dining room and menu not great. Daily breakfast dining was awesome; Michelle who was serving was exceptional. The optional excursion Geneva Lake Cruise was a zoo, very chaotic and not scenic. Mt. Pilatus and Glacier Express were fantastic. Henry, our driver was very nice, helpful, safely, didn't get lost.

Group rather large but everything went very well!

Nadine was a fantastic tour leader

Gate1 always delivers an excellent program and itiitinerary. Gate1 guides and drivers are excellent. Affordable Tours agent Sunny provides good advice on selection on the best tour based on my preferences for price, itinerary and time of travel.
