This timeless European river cruise vacation begins in Budapest, Hungary, then sails along the Danube River with exciting stops in Austria and Germany. Your Danube River cruise is followed by two nights in the golden city of Prague! Enjoy an amazing view of the landscapes of Bratislava while embarking from Budapest, and cruise to Vienna, Austria, offering stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Habsburg Palace, and the Vienna Opera House. In the heart of the Wachau wine region is Dürnstein, a 16th-century town with charming cobblestone streets and the baroque Stiftskirche with its luminous blue façade. In Melk, visit the majestic Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe’s largest monasteries, and enjoy a tasting of some of the Wachau Valley’s famous Austrian wines. You’ll love a guided walk through Passau, with its narrow streets and beautiful Patrician houses. Further up the Danube River, you’ll come to the medieval walls of Regensburg—the only German city not bombed during WWII. Your last stop is the 1000-year-old city of Nuremberg, where you’ll marvel at the medieval fortifications, extraordinary Gothic churches, and the Imperial Castle. Disembark your Avalon Suite Ship® and travel to beautiful Prague. See the sights with a Local Guide and enjoy exploring on your own. Stroll across Charles Bridge, mix with the locals on Wenceslaus Square, and shop for hand-cut crystal and art books. A perfect ending to a memorable European river cruise vacation.

Questions & Answers Ask A Question
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Our tour director Mathew was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the area. I would suggest name tags to be worn for 1-4 days making it easier to remember names in the group. The first day we missed through communication to meet in the bar at 520 pm. The information stated dinner at 600pm in our packet.
Our tour director and driver were true professionals. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Each knew the areas we were traveling in very well and gave suggestions for walks, things to do, and restaurants.
An enjoyable and stress-free experience all the way.
Loved the tour from start to finish. Would have liked a bit more free time in some of the places we visited.
Tour guides were great - both Philips were very nice and knowledgeable. Our bus driver - Mario was super friendly, polite, kind, helpful and professional. I do wish each hotel had coffee in the rooms.
The tour guide and the bus driver were both outstanding! A great experience.
Unfortunately we were left at our hotel when we had signed up for a dinner and entertainment at Bunratty Castle. My Grand and I went to the hotel reception and told them. We were given 2 10% off the meal in the dining/bar area. I complained to the tour guide and he replied he didn’t know how that could happen because he counted heads on the coach and drove off. It wasn’t until the next day, the couple who “crashed” our excursion came up and apologized to me. I’m still miffed there wasn’t more professional approach by the tour leader. I think he had been drinking.
Well organized itinerary. Peru tour guides Adrian and Raoul were excellent. Cruise was great. Quito tour guide was not up to the same standards.
