DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Warsaw
Arrive in Warsaw, Poland's capital and cultural center. Transfer to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure. Tonight, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM followed by a light dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Thursday - Warsaw City Tour, Pierogi Making Class, Polish Vodka Museum with Tasting
Begin your exploration of Warsaw at Lazienki Park, one of the jewels of the city, and view the Chopin Monument. Then, travel along the Royal Route with its historic monuments and residences toward the Warsaw Ghetto. Stop at the inspiring memorial that commemorates the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Walk through the cobbled streets of the Old Town to Market Square. View the Cathedral of St. John and the Royal Castle. Next, join a pierogi-making class to master the art of Poland's iconic dumplings. Learn traditional techniques for preparing the dough, filling, and folding pierogi with classic ingredients like potato, cheese, and meat. Enjoy tasting your creations, along with other Polish specialties for lunch. Later, drive through the Praga district center to the Polish Vodka Museum. During your visit gain insight into the history of Polish vodka and end with vodka tasting

DAY 4, Friday - Masurian Lake District, Lake & Canal Cruise, Explore Olsztyn
Depart Warsaw and travel to the Masurian Lake district. The landscape of the region is a mixture of rolling hills, thick forests and pristine lakes. Continue to the town of Gizycko, known as the sailing capital of Poland. Embark on a 3 lakes & 3 canals cruise, which is the perfect way to explore the natural beauty of the Masurian Lake district. Sail through Gizyczki Canal to Lake Kisano, a popular spot for anglers who fish for pike and perch. The cruise continues through Canal Piekna Gora to Lake Tajty with its tranquil atmosphere. Next, enter Canal Niegocin, sail across Lake Niegosin and have lunch on board. Following disembarkation, travel to Olsztyn. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour. Start with a visit to the Old Town, the historic center of the city. Admire the splendid architecture and charming cobblestone streets. View the 14th century Gothic castle of the Warmian Chapter which is now the Museum of Warmia & Masuria and the Upper Gate, the oldest part of the city's fortifications. Conclude the tour with dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 5, Saturday - Wolf's Lair, Swieta Lipka Sanctuary
This morning, travel to Wolf's Lair* (Wilczy Szaniec), Hitler's headquarters during World War II. View the remains of bunkers, barracks and other buildings that were used by Hitler and his top military advisers. Learn about the history of the complex and its significance in the war effort. After lunch, continue to the village of Swieta Lipka. Visit the historic Baroque style Swieta Lipka Sanctuary, a popular pilgrimage site. Marvel at the basilica dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary with its ornate structures, frescoes, and intricate decorations throughout. The centerpiece is the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is said to have healing powers. Attend a musical performance, before returning to Olsztyn in late afternoon*During Oct., the order of sightseeing will be reversed.

DAY 6, Sunday - Museum of Folk Architecture, Home Hosted Dinner
Head outside Olsztyn for a visit to the Museum of Folk Architecture. This open-air museum offers a glimpse into Poland's rural heritage and traditional village life. As you stroll through the recreated village, you'll, experience the architectural styles, folk art, and cultural traditions of Warmia, Masuria, Powisle and Little Lithuania region. Later, return to Olsztyn. This evening, enjoy a special dinner hosted by a local family and learn about Polish culture and traditions

DAY 7, Monday - Elblag Canal & Cruise, European Solidarity Center, Travel to Sopot
Discover the Elblag Canal this morning, a special waterway that connects the cities of Elblag and Ostroda. What makes it so unique, is the system of inclined planes and ramps, allowing boats to be transported overland between sections where the water levels are significantly different. Board a specially designed boat and embark on a cruise* to experience this engineering feat. The highlight of the cruise is when the boat is lifted out of the water and placed into tracks and dragged across dry land. Continue to Gdansk, to visit the European Solidarity Center. Gain insight into the history of the Solidarity movement and its impact on the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. Later, head to Sopot, a seaside resort city, known for its sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife. Arrive and check into the hotel. Later, take a walk along Sopot Molo, the longest wooden pier in Europe, which stretches out into the Baltic Sea. Soak in the views of the sea and the coastline. Tonight, dinner is at a local restaurant*During Oct., the cruise will be replaced with a visit to Malbork Castle grounds.

DAY 8, Tuesday - Gdynia Emigration Museum
Journey to the major port city of Gdynia, on the Baltic Sea. Here, visit the Emigration Museum, located in the historic ocean liner terminal building. The exhibits tell the story of Polish emigration in all its complexity, from the factors that drove people to leave their homes, to the challenges they faced in adapting to new cultures and building new lives in foreign lands. Explore a range of interactive exhibits, including immersive audio and video installations, as well as displays of personal artifacts and stories from emigrants themselves. After a delicious lunch at a seafood restaurant, return to your hotel and spend time at leisure

DAY 9, Wednesday - Visit Medieval Torun, Gingerbread Workshop
Depart Sopot this morning and travel to the medieval city of Torun, located on the Vistula River, one of the "Seven Wonders of Poland." Torun was founded by the Teutonic Knights and served as a trade center for the Hanseatic League. The Old Town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the best preserved medieval towns in all of Europe. During the guided tour, view the house where world-famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus was born. Continue your visit through the cobbled streets of the impressive Old Town. In the afternoon, participate in a pierniki (gingerbread) workshop and taste the most delicious gingerbreads. Make your own creation and learn about the history and traditions of gingerbread-making in Torun. Tonight, dinner is at a local restaurant

DAY 10, Thursday - Discover Poznan, Wroclaw
The drive to Wroclaw this morning, takes you through charming villages and picturesque countryside. Along the way, stop in Poznan, one of the oldest cities in Poland. Embark on a tour to discover the most important sights of Poznan. Walk around the Old Town to view the iconic Town Hall, Old Market, impressive Gothic Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, as well as the Royal Castle. Savor lunch of Polish specialties before continuing your journey to Wroclaw. Arrive and check into your hotel with free time before dinner tonight at a local restaurant

DAY 11, Friday - Pottery Demonstration, Jawor & Swidnica Churches of Peace
Visit a ceramics museum and observe the various techniques used to create quality stoneware. Learn about the city's rich tradition in pottery making, dating back to the 14th century. The signature Boleslawiec pottery is characterized by the vibrant blue and white colors, which are achieved by using a cobalt oxide glaze. In the afternoon, travel to Jawor to visit the beautiful 17th century Church of Peace, which is one of the largest timber-framed churches in Europe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its Baroque interior which features intricate frescoes, sculptures and paintings. Afterward, continue the picturesque drive to Swidnica. Here, explore the second Church of the Peace which is similarly impressive and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. View the ornate altar and admire church's interior, which is decorated in various motifs, including biblical scenes, portraits and symbols

DAY 12, Saturday - Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau
This morning travel to Silesia area. Upon arrival in Auschwitz, the town where the Nazis built their largest concentration and death camp. This solemn visit offers a window into one of history's most tragic periods. Take a guided tour through the preserved barracks, watchtowers, and gas chambers. At the Auschwitz Concentration Camp Museum, view exhibits that share the powerful stories of those you endured unimaginable suffering. Stop at the former Birkenau Extermination Camp before arriving to Krakow. Tonight, have dinner at a local restaurant

DAY 13, Sunday - Krakow & City Tour, Wieliczka Salt Mine
Short walk from the hotel to the Wawel Hill to explore the courtyards of the Royal Castle and to view the Royal Cathedral, followed by a drive to the Historic Jewish Quarter. View the 16th century Remah Synagogue and the old Jewish Cemetery. Then stop for pictures at the Lonely Chairs Memorial, which commemorates the deportation of the Jews in WW2. Continue to the Main Market Square and view St Mary's Church to see the most famous medieval altar, known as the Bible, carved in Linden Wood. Legend has it that the salt mines in Wieliczka were part of a dowry from Kinga, the Hungarian princess, when she wed Boleslaw the Shy over 700 years ago, making the Wieliczka Salt Mine one of the oldest in Europe. The mine's historical importance, as well as the amazing works of art carved into the walls by miners, have earned the Wieliczka Salt Mine a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The tour will be conducted with a group on a route that takes you through three levels of underground galleries and chambers. Today, head to the resort town of Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains, near the Slovak border. The town is known for its unique wooden architecture and vibrant highlander traditions. View stalls featuring everything from the renowned smoked cheese, oscypek, to hand-crafted woolen items and wooden souvenirs. Have lunch of traditional Highlander cuisine at a local restaurant.
