Tour Itinerary
This northern France tour is the perfect way for value-minded travel lovers to see the highlights of Paris plus the Loire Valley and Normandy. Beautiful scenery combined with famous landmarks and fascinating history sum up this tour. You’ll visit some of northern France’s interesting and charming towns, including Rouen, best known for its connection to Joan of Arc. Here, step into the splendid Gothic cathedral, which was once the world’s tallest building and the subject of a series of Claude Monet’s paintings, just like the water garden in Giverny, depicted in some of his most famous canvases. Visit Honfleur, a romantic port city; and Chartres, famous for pilgrimages to its 13th-century gothic cathedral. In Bayeux, follow the story of the Norman conquest of England in 1066 depicted on the Bayeux Tapestry, listed by UNESCO. Admire the cathedral, ramparts, and ancient walls of St. Malo, a fortified seaside resort. Memories of World War II history come to life as you visit the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach and the landing beaches. Other highlights of this affordable France tour include picturesque Mont St. Michel, situated on a rocky isle with its world-famous abbey. Spend a day at leisure in Châteaux Country with the opportunity to take an optional excursion to discover the Château of Chenonceau, a 16th-century, fairytale castle with a moat, drawbridge, and towers. From historic sights to picturesque scenery, this is a dream vacation!

Question: Hi I need to know how much it would cost with air fare from Salt Lake City, I didn’t see that we would visit the Eiffel Tower is that included? And how much does the other excursions cost?
Question: What optional tours are available for Paris
Question: On Paris, Normandy and the Loire tour when in Loire is there a chance to visit a winery.
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Liked the itinerary! Would have preferred less fancy hotels in better location (Tribe in Paris, Novotel in Amboise inconvenient for walking, cafes etc)
Thanks to Riley, another GREAT trip !
Our Tour Guide, Luca helped to make our vaca wonderful and beyond expectations!
Everthing went well except for the first and last days. We were staying at Ibis Eiffel Tower in Cambronne. First day: when I asked for assistance to temporarily put my luggages in a paid locker, a staff told me that there is no assistance provided. On this same day I was transferred to a different room because the previous room required repair. I called our tour-guide to inform her of the change using room-to-room call. I was charged 1.20 euros. Last day, our group stayed on the same hotel. I found out that there was no trash can. I called the reception desk. I was informed there is no trash can available. I asked where I would put my trash. I was told to just put my trash on the floor. Dah !
There are many things about this tour that were very disappointing. The city tour of Paris was a joke. Stopped for a 5min photo at the Eiffel Tower, and that was at a place where there were many tents set up, so you couldn't even get a decent photo. Norte dame cathedral stop we were given 10 min to go inside, but the line to get in would take 10 min. Three of the hotels did not have porter service or air conditioning. The optional excursion to Versailles was 2 hours and 40 min of that was spent waiting for our tour director to get our"skip the line" tickets! There were some positives of this tour, but overall very disappointed.
Trip was very well-organized, exactly as described in the package. The only issue I had were that in several hotels, 2 beds were next to each other without any space in between. Sleeping like this with a roommate was very uncomfortable.
Two of the hotels were not comfortable. The tour director was excellent. The optional tours were not as good as expected and very limited.
The Cosmos tour was very good, I enjoyed it. The additional excursions are worth the cost. The tour guide was more than competent.
Overall I was very pleased with this tour. The price was good. The hotels varied a little but were fine The coach was wonderful. Very roomy and clean. The local tour guides were excellent and our tour guide was quite helpful and informative. Being able to choose which additional excursions you liked was also nice
The Operator tour guide was somewhat knowledgable but she gave some wrong/incomplete information that led to confusion.
Excellent quality for the price. Tour director was very experienced and the driver was safe. Lots of information. Days are quite long with not much free time but very worthwhile since the tour is only a week.
We just returned from a wonderful Cosmos tour of Normandy and the Loire Valley of France. Our tour director, was the best we've ever had, he knew all the sites to see and how to plan our time. We will definitely book another Cosmos holiday through Affordable Tours!
Very good trip! I'd prefer it to have more museum tours and less expensive optional excursions.
I enjoyed the Tour tremendously. Hotels were great with the exception of the Campanile Porte D'Italie in Paris on the last day. (Nov 8th) Restaurant staff was rude, and location inconvenient for Paris activity. All else was great!! Optional tours were all wonderful!!
Ou tour Director was simply brilliant: very knowledgeable, caring, positive, lots of fun etc.
Regarding accomodations: all hotels were good except our final night in Paris. Not only was the hotel bad (no AC & rude staff), it was located in a rather sketchy area of the city. This aside, the tour was fabulous.
The tour was good but a little disappointing. I expected an escorted tour because that is what I paid for, the tour guide gave us information about the vissited site in the bus prior to arrival and then left us to be on our own. I saw all other tour guides with their groups guiding them and explaining the sites and all about the place visited..but our guide did not do that. At times we felt lost and confused as to what we were supposed to do, etc.. She was nice and polite, but not very informative and I honestly did not feel that she did her job as was expected. I would not book with Cosmos again, I would rather get a higher category company.
This was an excellent trip - made especially memorable with the expertise, friendliness, and professional handling of the Tour Director.

Just a couple issues we had. The description of the pick up point that was on our documents could not be found and had a difficult time finding the driver. Most of the hotels had tubs that were very difficult for older people to use. The Ibis Styles we were in, on our return to Paris at end of the tip caused some confusion. Seems like there were 4 Ibis properties on the block and twice, even though we gave the driver the address we were dropped off at the wrong one. The last time we were dropped off at the wrong one we gave the clerk in that Hotel the address and he sent us to the wrong one also. Might use a singular hotel name to avoid the confusion? Otherwise we had a wonderful time, had the language issues but we worked through them.
