This journey through Cambodia and Thailand introduces you to the best of each country. Start in Siem Reap with visits to the magnificently preserved temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Bayon Temple—with some 200 faces carved into 54 towers. You’ll also visit the exquisite 10th-century Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm, where ancient jungle tree roots wind through the temple ruins. “Thailand” translates to “land of the free” and we think it’s about time that you free yourself from the typical to explore this fascinating destination with the I-Time you crave on an Independent Globus vacation. Start your exploration with a boat ride through Bangkok’s canals, or klongs, to see family homes and temples—you’ll quickly see why they call this city “Venice of the East.” Next, visit Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of the Dawn, and the Grand Palace, which houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Lastly, stop at the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Bangkok, featuring one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand. You’ll also have I-time to explore more of Bangkok and other nearby attractions including Damnoen Saduak floating market and the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. In Chiang Rai, travel to the “Golden Triangle” where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet, tour a local tea plantation, and explore Wat Rong Khun. You’ll also visit several interesting hill tribes and learn about their culture. In Chiang Mai, explore the most popular temples and visit an amazing elephant sanctuary to learn about the conservation efforts of orphaned and rescued elephants. End your stay in Thailand with a three-night stay at a beachfront resort in Phuket. Explore the area at your leisure or simply relax at the beach!

Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
I have traveled numerous times with Globus and I am very satisfied with their service and tour packages. I also have recommended Globus Tours to family and friends, and they tell me how grateful they are for the recommendation. Globus make travelling an unforgettable experience. The hotels are beautiful and modern. The activities are exciting, and the places visited are fantastic which makes a trip memorable.
This Globus Independent tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the included itinerary, and the optional excursions were exceptional. The tour guides who cared for us in each city were top of their profession. We learned so much and they were fun, caring and extremely helpful.
Some rooms lacked A/C and hotel gym.
We had a great time on this trip!
Iguassu Host/Guide didn't speak English very well. Said he had learned English two months ago. He was prompt and courteous but didn't totally understand everything we were asking and discussed. All the South American destinations we had difficulties with communications when dealing with the locals (not guide or host). There appears to be less people that speak English than in Europe.
Affordable Tours was easy to work with and helped me make my trip what I wanted it to be. Globus Tours provided well managed trip to Portugal -our guide Beatriz was very informative and gave us an inspirational time exploring almost all of Portugal -the experiences were unforgettable, and I loved learning about and experiencing Portugal!
This was my first trip with Affordable tours. Iwas very impressed. I personally didn't appreciate that I had to fight with multiple suitcase and having to walk long distances. Future trips i will definitely pack light because of all of the walking and transferring from plane, bus and trains.
You cannot beat Globus Escape tours for the price. They've become more and more popular as this is the 2nd or 3rd time they've opened a parallel tour to go with the one we've chosen. This tour was fast paced and would give a first time visitor a taste of the area. Globus tour directors are excellent and all of the hotels were located conveniently.
Super trip. Great tour director and super coach driver! We had a significant weather issue outside of their control and they did an outstanding job to deal with situation! Sites, hotels etc great!!
Some of the hotels were outdated but accessible to the city center. So you are trading one option for another.
Everything and everyone was great. Tracy and Francesco are the best tour guides I have ever met.
We had good tour director Mauricio. My only comment was that we booked it as a smaller group however we were integrated with a bigger group in total we were 24 in the group good thing the people in the tour were really nice people.
Karen is so helpful when booking our trips.
Ines was fabulous. Pedro was an excellent driver. I always felt safe.
